4 Level 1

The System's Attention? How did I gain that? Probably not important for me to care about. Looking back at the man I had noticed multiple guards who entered earlier charging towards me. The man in front of me signaling to them to stop and they stopped, turned around and went out. "Do they not have any intelligence?" "They do, but not a good one so they will always follow orders of intelligences in the higher rank."

Oh. I blurted out my question. Oh well, the answer I got was satisfactory anyway. Courtly bowing before leaving the house the man began shouting behind me: "YOU FORGOT YOUR TASK!!!"

Slowly turning around, I was smiling at him. "What is the task esteemed chief?" Did he just mutter 'why did I choose her.'? You chose well in my opinion! Changing my expression to a glaring smile the village chief flinched. "*cough* You have to bring me a trophy from the silver wolf!"

*Ding!* Quest received! | Name: The Village Chief | Grade: Worthy | Difficulty: A | Condition: Kill the Silver Wolf (Worthy Boss) and bring back a trophy! | Rewards: > Worthy Weapon (Depends on class) | -> Status Update: Proven | -> Reputation: Village Chief +5 | -> ??? |

*Ding!* Due to it being from the Main Story Quest you are not permitted to deny the quest.

Bowing my head and starting to walk the other direction I took a look at the two prompts that came up. Grades huh, how do they range? Trying to press my finger on the 'Grade' part I received nothing. After trying for a good deal of times the system responded.

*Ding!* So uh... it doesn't work right now. Considering you want to know it I will manually tell you! There are 10 different Grades. The most normal being the Normal grade! However, that is not the lowest grade as we also have Rusted and Broken items. The 7 grades above it are Worthy, Noble, Holy, Hero, Unknown, Abyss and Hell Grade! However, up until Level 15, do not expect anything but Worthy and lower equipment.

How much time did you use to type that? I am just guessing here, but considering the Grade part didn't work I won't unnecessarily press the Difficulty option. However, why are the last three grades Unknown, Abyss and Hell while the rest are positive and built up? Scratching my head as it made no sense I had somehow made my way towards the village gate.

*Ding!* You have left Newbw, ugh. Newbr... NEWBIE town and have entered the Wolf forest.

Oh, I have entered the wolf forest? I bet the silver wolf is in here somewhere. Creeping on to my face was a smile no one alive in the real world has seen. 'Yvil, time to hunt.'

A wolf was whimpering at the sudden fear of death. Not knowing why it kept checking its surroundings and never found anything... yet.

-------

Observing my immediate surroundings, not a single living creature passed my eyes. Ah, the map function showed small red dots last time I saw it, perhaps those are enemies? Looking at the map again a red dot was slowly moving across behind the trees to my left. Not noticing my canine smile, I was slowly walking towards the wolf. When I came close enough something blocked my view for a moment. I ignored it as it was semi-transparent and focused on the wolf. Seemingly ordinary brown wolf.

How many have I killed in the real world again? 7? 20? Oh well, the weak spots are its belly, neck, and windpipe. Moving my foot left and right as to avoid all branches and other leaves that make a sound the wolf didn't notice me until I entered a 1-meter range. Turning around after having noticed me and madly charging towards me. Did it think I was weak? Does it think at all? Pondering over these questions I didn't notice that the wolf was right in front of me ready to attack.

For any onlookers, the fight was comical. The girl seemingly in thought was constantly moving left, right, ducking and jumping as the wolf continued to attack her. That was not the comical part though. The wolf was miserable enough that it actually hurt itself by charging straight into trees behind Livy. Normally, there would be no onlookers as the forest was humongous...

"Bahahaha, what a wonderful girl. I think choosing her is the correct choice despite what all the scientist are telling me." A smile crept up on the unknown person. "Should I help her or should I make it more difficult to again help her?"

-------

When I came back to my senses I noticed the wolf preparing a charge at me. Sidestepping its charge only to then punch it in its windpipe causing instantaneous death.

*Ding!* XP gained! 1/3 XP for Level 1.

1 XP and 3 needed? Isn't that too difficult for an MMORPG? And do we not usually start at Level 1? Why is it 0? Oh, my bad habit of thinking too much into things kicked in again. Perhaps most of the answers already lie with her? Too bad any communications were cut after that incident. Hmm? Where did the wolfie go? And why are there so many butterflies here?

If Livy had played any video games or read any game novels she would have known this was the death particle effect for any game creature including most players. Lights flying out of the monster before the monster becomes transparent. However, to Livy right now it didn't matter. What mattered was.

'I can get stronger if I kill more wolfies? Wooollffieeee, dear old Yvil wants to hug you!' Smiling as I was walking through the forest coming across another wolf that did not live for long. I haven't seen any wolves lately... should I use the map again? Looking at the map the red dots were gone and that it was filled with white dots instead. White? Neutrality perhaps? What would happen if I kill a white one?

Walking towards a small group of 2 white dots two people came up in front of me. 2 humans + 2 white dots + no other creature in sight = Humans are white dots? Oh. The reason there are no wolves is that of humans? Do I gain experience from killing humans?

Probably not. Turning around only to kick a stone I received a notification.

*Ding!* You kicked the evil stone! Good for you! +1 XP Teehee.

*Ding!* You have leveled up to level 1! You received the following rewards!

5 Attribute points you can allocate anywhere!

The ability to choose a class!

The neutral skill: Fist Mastery! +10% Damage while using any type of arm attack!

[ World Announcement: Player #00001 Livy Sorgsdöttir is the first player to advance to Level 1! Do better you weaklings! This player was a late-waker and finished before you? Shameful. ]
