8 Chapter 8: First Interview?

After coming back home from the long journey she thought she was going to get scolded for running away and instead she was given a laptop by her parents. They wanted her to go back to school and get good grades.

Because she felt bad for leaving, she decided she will go back to school and decide on what major to pursue. She got into contact with her high school and the university and set a date for orientation. She was told the next available date would be in a month or two. She got school supplies and waited until the day of orientation.

Orientation day came, the guide gave a tour of the university and told everyone what the road to success is. After the tour was over Pamela wandered around for a bit and at the corner of a hallway, a piano had caught her eye. She started playing a few songs that she knew and it sounded really pretty.

After playing the piano she went to the food court, got in line, and ordered some things that are on the menu. She got her food then sat at a table and some people came over to talk about their club. Hearing what they said about their club, Pamela was very interested in joining them and ask for their email or website.

Pamela started her schooling, but not before remembering to text Topias every day and making sure he is doing fine. She really missed being with him but she can not see him whenever she wants because she felt slightly guilty for running away to his house. Although she wants to make her parents proud of her again, but she changed after starting as a student at the university.

After one of her classes were finished she went to take a break at a nearby table and she began to reminisced during high school, how her parents would not allow her to do anything fun like visiting a friend. She would always stay at home, study for tests coming up, and if she finishes all of that she sometimes can play video games or watch anime. As a result of that, she developed a fondness for video games and anime.

Her break ended and she was about to go to her next class when a group of people came over to have a chat. They told her life is too short to not have fun and explained how she will regret not living her life to the fullest. She believed them more when they told her how strict their parents were and that they regretted not having more fun.

Sometime later she would start to ditch classes to go have some fun because she felt what the group of people said was true and went to hang out with them from time to time. From then on she would later find out that she sort of ruined her life in the long run.

A year or so later, no matter what she did or how hard she studied at the university she failed almost every class except art. The university told her she got disqualified from the school for horrible GPA.

While she is disqualified from college she tried to look for a job, but no employer wants her. Their excuse is that she has no experience. When she thought she found a job, she got excited and got ready for an interview. Topias got happy for her and cheered her on in hopes that she can get this job.

The company had someone do a product demonstration and explain how the marketing of products work. Everyone that was present got a chance to try out the product to see how good it is when compared to other products. When the demo ended the boss interviewed each person one at a time in another room.

She felt nervous while looking at the people going in and coming out from the interview room because this is her first time trying to get a job. She was thinking she might mess up during the interview or say something offensive. When it was finally her turn to go in she slightly trembled and did her best to calm down before opening the door.

She went in and greeted the interviewer with a smile and gave him a good handshake. After sitting down the man started asking the questions. He asked her what was her strongest and weakest point. She answered as honestly as she could and still felt scared that her answers would offend him.

In the middle of the interview, she started to calm down a bit until she thought she saw the man looking at her odd. He started licking his lips which got her feeling paranoid but she felt if she left that would be bad. At that moment she wanted to run far away as soon as he asked if she was single in a whisper.

The interview came to an end and she quickly ran out to her parents and left to go home. She wanted to forget what had happened during the interview. Although she did not want the job anymore, her parents wanted her to work so she can experience the real world. So she kept quiet since she thought they would be upset with her if she told them the truth.

Over the next few days, they waited for the news.
