2 Chapter 2: Dating!?

Pamela anxiously waited for Topias to log on while nervously thinking on how to ask him to be her boyfriend. Because she is a shy girl that she had not been in a relationship before, and the thought of being with someone made her incredibly happy. She thought this feeling that rushes to her cheeks would one day blossom into something more beautiful. Although just a game, being near him and talking to him, gave off a warm and secure feeling in her heart.

As soon as he logged on she jumped for joy and asked how his day was while getting mentally ready to ask him out. She decided to take him to Hana-Akari and confess her feelings where there are vivid cherry blossoms that bloom under the brightly lit night sky. She purposely told him that one of her mission is to go and kill some monster in the Hana-Akari map. He did not question her and they set off on their next adventure.

Because they last logged off in the City of Pyong Pou that is where they are when they logged back on. To get to Hana-Akari they had to past through a graveyard that was full of level thirty monsters. There were transparent pinkish spirits, pumpkin-shaped spirits, snake spirits with a human upper torso, and small demons.

They quickly ran across the map to climb up a cliff to get to the next portal. As they climbed up a ladder onto the next map, Pamela got dragged down by the snake spirit. She tried her best to attack the monster, but as she was a lower level than that spirit, her attacks did no damage. Topias quickly jumped down from the cliff next to the portal and used level three Square Leo sword attack on the snake spirit and quickly got Pamela onto the next map over.

After breathing a sigh of relief, she profusely thanked Topias for his help and they continued on with their journey. They found a sacred spring of waters flowing downwards from where the portal is and followed it. As there were no time limits to quests they walked along the streams and admired the beautiful scenery of dancing fairies, flowers filled with fluorescent dew drops, fishes with gradient rainbow scales, and the faint scent from the sacred trees. The portal was upon a set of stairs that look like they lead up to an altar-like structure. They finally got to Hana-Akari and found the place where Pamela wanted to go.

She tensed up as soon as they got closer to the center of the map and kept imagining the different types of scenarios that could happen. Reaching the center Topias asked what is their mission for this place and looked at Pamela. With the soft pink colored cherry blossoms falling around them she decided to suck it in and face him. Faced with the girl with flushed cheeks he wondered what was wrong with her as she opened her mouth to speak.

He was struck speechless when the girl confessed to him and looked at her with wide eyes. Pamela blushed more red as she said she would like to be his girlfriend while nervously awaiting his answer. The only thing he said was that he needed time to think about it. Although she felt crushed and hopeless, she decided to wait for his answer. They both logged off to give each other time to digest what has happened.

She paced back and forth in her room restlessly while expecting him to come up with an answer. A week or two has passed since she has confessed her feelings to Topias, and she found out that he logged on earlier than Pamela to give her his answer. She clenched her teeth while waiting for his response and her heart was pumping so fast she felt she could faint any second. He finally typed in the message to her and said he will be her boyfriend and after thinking things through he does indeed have feelings for her.

She jumped for joy as she read what he had typed to her and felt an overwhelming sense of warmth. She almost immediately sat on his lap inside the game and typed in many kiss messages to show how happy she was. He gave a lot of smiles and love emoticons and they spent a few hours talking to get to know each other better.

She found out many things about him like how old he is, that he is currently living with his family and that he lives at least eight hours away from where she is. She felt sad knowing she might not be able to see him. As she was currently a high schooler with no job and living with family, she did not know of a way to get to him. However, he promised that when he has enough money, he will come to visit her.

On the weekday she would go to school and on the weekend she waited online for him to log on. Usually, he would have been on early in the morning and they would go on their quests and level up together. One Friday night, he told her he will be online sometime later, and told her to go on one of her quests while he gets ready.
