15 Chapter 15: Anime Club and a friend

Pamela's parents started to tell her that she should keep working as well as going back to school and study a career. She agreed to look up schooling while she rethinks on what career she should go for.

On the weekend she searched up a school the is relatively cheap as well as a high success rate for getting hired.

On a day that she was free, Pamela went to the school to sign the application and meet with counselors to discuss her career. Because of her previous grades from the other school, she was told she needed to retake some class at this new one and the old one. She agreed she will retake some classes and they went ahead to make an education plan. After making the plan she also went to the financial aid office. She completed the process and applied for classes as soon as she could as well as gathering school supplies.

She called her boss saying she will be starting school soon and he said okay. She found that her workplace started to call her often, which was not really a bad thing as she wanted to focus on school.

Her first semester of the year would be in fall and she had planned to start out by taking math and English class first. She struggled with math class but with the help of her classmates, she seems to have gotten the hang of it. She enjoyed her English class and has fun reading and writing her books and in-class activities.

After the classes end for the day she went to club rush to see which club was most interesting so that she could join them. Some clubs did get her attention like the gardening club, literature club, and fashion club. However, the club that really got her full attention was the anime club with its figurines and cosplays. The president told her when they meet and what room they met in as well as the benefits of joining them.

As the first meeting of the semester is that day she made the decision to go and wait by the room until the time it starts.

When the time came the president and other members went into the room and she shyly followed them in. Everyone in the room was asked to introduce themselves which made Pamela extremely nervous. When it was her turn to introduce herself she spoke quickly and stumbled as well as turning red for embarrassing herself like that.

She thought to herself if only she spoke slower and was more confident in herself she would not have made everyone laugh at her.

After introductions were finished everyone decided on which anime to watch for the semester as well as gaming tournaments and raffles. Time felt like it went by quickly for Pamela and by the time she looked at the clock, it was time to go home. So far she thought the club seems fun and she will try to make it to each meeting and maybe making some friends along the way.

For the next meeting, she went to ask around if it was ok to go into the room before the club meeting starts and got an okay from other professors. Since then she started being in the classroom early when she could. She would draw on the whiteboard with her color markers and take their pictures for later.

Then one day another person was in the room with her and she asked him if he wanted to join her in drawing. He told her he did not want to trouble her and Pamela told him it is fine and pulled his arm to draw with her.

She noticed that her club mate looked really happy she asked him to draw with her. As they were drawing he introduced himself as Vaughn and he likes to draw as well.

They bonded while drawing on the whiteboard before the club started and became really good friends. She found out that he has a girlfriend and told him that she hopes he is happy with her as well as staying with her for a long time. He told her he loves her but she does not seem to be very happy with him no matter what he did. They started to open up to each other more and share each other's troubles when they felt or looked really sad.

The more they talk the more she thought that he is a really good guy, however, she is still wary of men because of Topais. She did think that he is cute but she will not ruin his relationship and continue to try and comfort him when he needs it.

She found out a few weeks later that his girlfriend actually did not love him and had only wanted stuff from him.
