DESTINATION KNOWN

"we need to talk." Antonio says barging into my room, well the shared communal that the omegas used to rest their battered bodies

"And this couldn't wait till the morning because?..." l trail off looking around to see all eyes on us. Most curious while others not in the least bit interested, the knowledge of staying out of the 'royal' affairs glued in their minds and not willing to take the chance to suffer at the hands of their leader

"there are too many eyes, follow mw please" he says leading me out of the room and onto the long passage. I could see some of the omegas trailing their eyes behind our retreating figures most probably listening in on our conversation with glass glued to the walls.

As an Omega, your wolf abilities aren't the best, the most reliable and neither are they the most strongest. That means not having the gift of inhumanely fast healing, although faster than humans but extremely slow for werewolves. Not only that but you can't mins link and you also aren't blessed with insane hearing. Making you no better than a human. And that's why most packs tend to think of omegas as 'trash'

" what do you what to talk about? This better be quick, some of us do hard labour you know." l begin when we stop at the top of the staircases that lead out of the omegas quarters, a good distance from prying eyes

" Right, because this pack runs itself" he replies with an eye roll. This surprises me because l wasn't aware that we were at the stage in our 'relationship' to joke around

"with the way everyone runs around like headless chickens, no sense of direction whatsoever. One would assume" l throw back at him but this time, his reaction is not one l had expected

" And you think you could do any better. You are just a worthless runt whose parents didn't even want." he says glaring dagers my way. But this does nothing to intimidate me but fuels my anger

"You don't know me. Just because l have been putting up with the treatment here doesn't mean l will let you talk about my parents in that way. Don't you ever, l mean ever again in your life insult my parents like that. I am not afraid to reject you again. And this time seeing yoh die might be the greatest gift l have ever received " l say each word slowly, my voice coming out softer than l bargained for.

" You don't get to threaten me on my land. I could easily kill you" l could see his eyes changing colour meaning his wolf was on the surface.

" Oh l'm sorry, mighty Alpha. What do you want me to do so that l can save myself from your merciless wrath" l say in mock surrender, slightly arching my neck signaling respect. But he could tell l was taunting him.

"Don't test me. Mate or not, l am not. I will punish you" he says forcefully his voice bouncing off the walls

" I wound love to see you try" l challenge knowing he will not be able to restain his wolf any longer. Mate or not, Alpha's demanded respect, especially their wolves. And theu afraid of using Savage methods to get people to get respect

It didnt take a second for my body to be thrown down the stairs and onto the opposite wall. My spine breaking as soon as it made contact with the wall. Seconds later, he had me by my throat, taking away my life force by the minute because oxygen was suddenly hard to find

" submit" he said through barred teeth, his eyes the colour of death

" I would rather die before that happens. You are not my Alpha and neither are you the boss of me"

"For someone who runs their mouth as much as you, l expected more fight that this" he says loosening his hold on my neck. His eyes returning to their natural green colour.

I understood his confusion but shifting wasn't on the cards at the moment. I had to play my cards right before revealing myself to him or anyone else for that matter.

" I'm an Omega after all. There is not much l can do to you either than rejecting you" l say looking anywhere but him as soon as l realise my mistake

"I'm staryoto believe that that's not the case. No Omega would be able to bring me to my knees because of simply rejection. There is more to you than you are letting on" he says as he stares at me as if staring into my soul. I shift uncomfortably before clearing my throat but his stare remains unwavering

"why did you bring me here?" l question trying to get his attention off of me

" We will be leaving the pack lands in two days time. I have business to attend to with the Northern packs." he informs me before straightening up, turning around to leave

"why do l have to leave with you?" l ask

" You are my mate and although we both aren't ready to let the world know. There is no way l am leaving you behind. My wolf will drive me crazy" he says

"The same wolf that almost killed me. I won't heal in due time incase you forgot. My capabilities aren't as great as yours" l throw out knowing very well that he will feel remorseful for his actions

"That will teach you not to provoke him" he says nonchalantly as he makes his way to me before turning me around to face the wall

"what are you doing?" l ask trying to understand what his next step will be

"my saliva can help heal you because we are mates" he says before slathering his saliva on my back. The wound starts to heal, but not as fast as it would have had it been my wolf healing me.

I flash him a smile of gratitude knowing that had it not been for him, l would still be in a lot of pain
