4 Chapter 4

I groaned and turned over in my bed for the 26th time that night. I couldn't fall asleep and this was unusual, as I was usually a very deep sleeper.

I closed my eyes and snuggled into my pillow, trying once more to fall asleep.

I felt myself become more drowsy as I started to drift into la-la land.

'Get up' A strange voice boomed through my head, jerking me out of the sleepy haze I was in.

I sat up quickly and scanned my room, looking for an intruder.

'Huh that's weird, there's nobody here. Am I going crazy? ' I thought to myself as I stood there in my matching bright pink pajamas, questioning my sanity.

'It's probably nothing, I should just go to bed.' I scanned the room once more and sat back on my bed and checked the time 2:36.

"The moon goddess wants to speak with you" The voice spoke again, but this time I was ready.

The thought was actually laughable, why would the moon goddess want to speak to me?

'You should go, find out what it's about' Cassidy spoke up, but I was still wary.

"What if it's a trick from an enemy pack? Or just a cruel prank?"

'Come one, stop being a chicken and go. If you don't, I'll make you. ' Cassidy threatened.

'Fine, fine' I agreed reluctantly, going into my closet to look for more suitable clothing.

I changed into an oversized hoodie and black leggings with some running shoes.

'I can't believe that we're doing this. ' I grumbled as I jumped out of my window onto the rough grass.

'Let me take over, I know where it is. ' Cassidy spoke as I crouched, passing under my parents window.

'Yeah go ahead. ' I felt myself fade into the background and Cassidy taking control.

We stopped at a light-filled clearing in the middle of the woods. Cassidy gave me back control and I walked around the clearing in amazement, as it was absolutely beautiful.

Running my hands through the leaves, I saw little twinkling lights falling from the sky.

I watched in awe as all the light particles joined together and formed a huge ball in the middle of the forest.

I walked towards it hesitantly and as I got closer I began to feel it softly beckoning me to come closer.

As I stepped into the ball, I instantly felt a wave of calm wash over me.

I looked up and saw a woman standing there, clad in all-white attire looking down at me lovingly.

"Moon goddess." I breathed out and bowed before her feet.

"Rise, child. " Her voice was like the sound of a thousand angels singing.

"I wanted to talk to, or shall I say warn you about the events of the future."

What does she mean? How bad does something have to be for the moon goddess to warn me about it before it happens. Will I die? Will someone close to me die? I was freaking out and I started to feel the effects of an incoming panic attack.

"There's no need to worry my dear, for you that will make you so much stronger. I have great plans for you Rosalyn Irene Ambrose and I want you to always remember that I will always be behind you, guiding and supporting your every move. "

She patted me on the shoulder and she disappeared, leaving behind a mini light explosion.

As I climbed into bed later that night, my mind was plagued with thoughts of fear and confusion about the Goddess's words.

'Don't stress about it, we should probably go to bed and think about this tomorrow. ' Cassidy tried to calm me down but it didn't work.

I lay down and shut my eyes, eventually falling into a deep sleep.
