3 Chapter 3

My eyes were on Ethan the whole time.

I watched as a drop of water ran down his toned stomach and almost drooled.

'How does he make everything look sexy?' I thought to myself as I took another picture.

I watched his let muscles tense as he ran and moved, making me wish I was out there with them.

Click

Click 'Ooh , perfect shot of his abs' I thought to myself.

Click 'He has more cake than me!' I lamented, thinking about my flat butt.

Click 'That hair flip was everything.'

Click 'Back muscles alert!'

I went through the pictures and saved the good ones, smirking to myself.

Before I knew it, my Dad was calling me over again as he ended the training session.

"Okay Rosie, any tips for these guys?" My mind went blank for a moment and then everything came rushing back.

"Um yeah, so what's your name?" I asked, motioning to a dark-haired boy in the back.

"I'm Haden" he answered, giving me a small smirk confidently, as if daring me to find something wrong.

"Haden, you seem to be centering on your right leg, which will make you weaker in a fight. " He nodded, grimacing slightly.

"Is there a problem with your leg?" I asked, motioning to his leg.

"No, I went for a really long run in human form this morning and fell on the leg." He explained and I nodded, scanning the group once more.

"Jack, that's your name right?" I asked, pointing at a blonde boy I recognized from school.

"That's right" He smirked at me cockily, baring his teeth and sizing me up.

"So, it looks like you always go in for the attack and underestimate your opponent. That will make you less likely to come out on top in a fight and that will influence reckless decisions and actions.

My smug grin widened as I watched his smirk falter and his head noticeably lowered.

'Serves him right for treating us like that.' Cassidy commented and I nodded, agreeing with her.

My eyes wondered through the group of hot shirtless guys and then stopped on Ethan. and then Ashley sitting in the stands a few feet behind him.

I scowled and focused back on Ethan,"Uh great job Ethan, you stood out the most but you need to work on your speed."

He gave me a small nod with a blank, slightly annoyed stare which for some reason still made made my heart speed up.

"That will be all, Rosie. Thank you for coming and you can go now.", my Dad interrupted and I gave them a little wave, grabbed my stuff, and left the building.

I headed back to the house and was pleasantly surprised to see my fully customized car sitting in my driveway.

I quickly ran inside in excitement and bumped into a hard chest, making me stumble backward onto the floor.

'Please tell me it's a mysterious handsome stranger that acts tough but secretly likes me.'

Crossing my fingers, I looked up and sighed in disappointment. It was just Reed, my annoying and controlling older brother.

I got up and started straightening my now-wrinkled outfit, but was cut off by the sound of him laughing. I glared at him and was about to start scolding him when I heard a new voice ask:

"Reed, who's there?"

A blonde girl I'd never seen before came down the stairs and stood, looking nervous and uncomfortable.

'Aww, she looks so innocent and cute. I could just hug her.'

"We still don't know who she is and why she's in our house.", my wolf commented, still unsure about the stranger.

"Aww, who are you?" I asked, stopping myself from going over there and pinching her cute little cheeks.

"I- I'm Caroline, y-you can c-call me Carrie. Nice t-to meet y-you." She stuttered out and looked down shyly.

"Well hello Carrie, I'm this idiot's sister. I've never seen you around before, which pack-

"She means which school did you move from, right Rosalyn?" Reed looked down at me, eyes pleading with me to go along.

"Um, yeah I guess" I replied, staring at him in confusion.

'She's a human' he quickly explained through mind link, 'She doesn't know that I'm a werewolf.'

"I moved f-from Westbrook H-High in M-Minnesota." She was still painfully shy and even though it was cute, it made me worried for her.

"Huh, that's a long distance to move from. Why'd you guys move?" I asked, calculating the distance in my head.

"Um, I-I w-we u-um I-I " I studied her, starting to become very concerned.

"You don't need to answer that.", Reed spoke, attempting to comfort her while glaring at me from behind.

"Don't you have other things to be doing right now?" Reed asked me, as he walked Carrie up to his room.

'We need to go dress shopping for the party, remember?' Cassidy reminded me and I thanked her.

"Well I'm going shopping, nice meeting you, Carrie!" I went upstairs to my room and remembered why I was so excited.

I quickly got changed into jeans and an orange crop top to match my car and I headed to the mall.

I strolled through aisle after aisle, looking for a dress with the perfect mix of confident and sexy.

'That one looks good, but let's try it on first.' I picked up a light blue dress and went inside the fitting room to change.

'Nah, too revealing.'

I tried on a cute pink dress and stepped outside to look in the mirror.

'I look like a little kid, hell no.' I thought in disgust and grimaced at my appearance.

I tried on the last dress and smiled, it was perfect. Not too revealing, but still hugged my curves and made me look hot.

I bought it and drove to another location to take some Instagram pics.

I set the phone on selfie timer and posed in front of the car. I fake laughed, twirling my hair, I crossed my legs and posed in multiple positions, trying to get the perfect photo.

I scrolled through the photos and found the perfect one to post.

I heard my stomach grumbling and decided to get some Starbucks as I edit the photo.

I grabbed my drink and started to walk to a seat, eyes glued to my phone.

'Definitely add some saturation, this lighting makes my skin look de-'

I stumbled into something and mumbled an apology and began walking away when I realized.

"Aaah!" I heard a scream and looked up to see Ashley, mouth wide open, with my pink drink splattered all over her expensive looking crop top.

"It was at this moment she knew, she done fucked up."

'Cass, you are not helping right now.'

"Oh my god, I'm so so sorry." I gushed, frantically grabbing napkins and rubbing at her shirt.

"I cannot believe a nobody just poured her drink on me! Do you know what you just did? Do you know how much this top costs? Aaaah! You will pay for this. "

"I have a spare shirt you can use in my car. C'mon let's go." I looked up to see that the mysterious voice belonged to Ethan Campbell, whose arm was wrapped around Ashley's waist and a bored look on his face.

"Next time, you've got to watch where you're going. Let's go Ashley. " He spoke to me in a bland tone and walked away arm still wrapped around Ashley's waist.

I sighed and plopped down in a seat, what a lovely day it was.
