I inserted the photo into Facetune and began editing the photo.

'Gotta smoothen out my forehead, hide that pimple, blur the background, make my legs look longer, put a filter on and BAM! Perfect Insta photo, gosh I'm getting good at this editing thing.'

I saved the photo and uploaded it to Instagram with a caption.

I sat up and sighed, if only that applied to my life. Most of my friends had been ignoring me, I had lost to my partner in training and my whole body ached. I opened my texts and groaned, still no reply from any of them Sometimes, I wondered if they were really my friends, as I was left out most of the time.



I sent another text to Meredith, turned off my phone and lay there.

'At least your birthday is in 4 days, and you turn 18 before them.' , my wolf Reina reminded me.

'Yeah, I guess that's good' I thought and turned off the lights and went to sleep.

I felt someone gently shake my shoulder and I looked up to see Ethan Cambell, my crush for the past 8 years hovering over me. He leans down and we lock lips, we make out for a while and he stops and asks me: Wake up! It's time for school!

I sit up startled and hit my head on the headboard, and groan, 'Of course, it's a dream. Ughh, what a wonderful start of the day.'

I drag myself out of bed and sit on my chair, disoriented. I hear my phone bing and I unplug it and sigh. It was Andrew from the Car Customization place and apparently my car wasn't done yet and that they needed more time to finish up. 'Great, now I have to ask someone for a ride or run to school.'

I got ready for school and stood in front of my mirror, once again admiring my outfit. I was wearing a black crop top, a pair of jeans, and some white sneakers.

I went downstairs to see my little sister, Angie talking loudly to the empty seat next to her.

"Do you want some tea, Pearyie? Of course, you do. Some biscuits for you! Mmm, you yike it? I do too. *giggles* "

I looked at her weirdly and backed away nodding my head "Angie, we do not condone demonic behavior in this house." I spoke jokingly but I was a little weirded out.

"Stop, Rosie, my mom chided, she's going through her imaginary friend phase. You know that's how little kids meet their inner wolf"

"Yes ma'am" I spoke sarcastically then sat down and texted the group chat as I ate my breakfast.



'Of course, they already have something planned without me. Some sort of friend group I have.'

"Mom, I'm gonna run to school today, I yelled as I left the house, Bye, I love you!"

I jogged to the forest behind my house and took off my clothes and put them in my bag. I stepped back and closed my eyes as I felt my body start to transform.

I walked into the school building and instantly spotted my 'friends'. I walked over and interrupted their conversation "What's up girls!" I was taken back as they mumbled or groaned little heys under their breath.

"Okay, not in a good mood. Got it. I'm gonna go to class" I walked away and went to put stuff in my locker.

'Geez, they're in a mood today. Did I do something wrong?' I thought to myself as I grabbed my books.

'Here comes Ethan! Make sure you look good' I said to myself as I saw the Ethan Campbell walk by my locker.

I frowned when I saw Ashley Garcia, the school sl*t hanging off his arm. He looked at me and I quickly turned my head, trying to make it look like I wasn't looking. I felt his arm brush against mine and I looked up to see him wink at me.

'That didn't just happen, Oh my god, oh my god. Did you see that, Cassidy?'

'You know that he's probably playing you like the remaining 248 girls that go to this school, right? Plus you meet your mate in 4 days, chill.'

'I just thought of it. What if he was my mate? That would be amazing, then we can have kids, grow old together, Imagine that.'

'Snap out of it, your annoying companions are coming.'

"Hey Rosalyn", I looked up to see Lee-Anne heading towards me, a sneaky look on her face.

"What are you up too, now?" I raised an eyebrow as she smirked at me.

"We need to make your little crush notice you", she spoke, grinning at me evilly.

"I don't like him, I don't know what you're talking about" I spoke quickly, trying to lie.

"Yeah right, you're not the only one making heart eyes at him as he walks down the hall."

"Ok fine you got me there. But how? Ashley already claimed him." I spoke, rolling my eyes.

"I have a plan. He's throwing a party for his birthday in 2 days and we are going to show up and look hot. Make a scene, drink a little, and have fun! You up for it?"

"Um-, I began hesitantly but she interrupted me.

"You meet your mate in 3 days, then you can't go partying and have any fun anymore. C'mon, the girls will all be there." She pleaded, giving me the dreaded puppy eyes.

"Yeah, let's do it!"
