60 The Shadow

Slowly, the cocoon started to shake.

Slash!

And with a very quiet slash, the cocoon sliced into two and dropped down to the ground.

But the slash was so quiet and fast, I could barely notice it, and if I hadn't been alert, I could've missed it.

A presence steps out from the remaining strands of the cocoon, with elegance and a touch so soft that it felt like even the grass didn't notice the step upon them.

Hikari was now clad in a jet-black bodysuit covering her from her neck to toe, with intricate deep blue stripes running through it like veins. She moved slowly, almost imperceptibly, towards me.

Her presence was so faint that an average individual wouldn't even be able to sense her, even if she were standing right in front of them.

She was truly a shadow now.

With careful steps, she approached me. Her original brown hair had transformed into luscious black that swayed down to her waist with every graceful movement. The pale green shade that remained after her previous evolution was now completely gone, replaced by average human-like skin that was slightly darker. Her pupils shone strikingly light blue, and her eyes and the stripes on her bodysuit resembled Hiiro's color.

My body had a very light bluish shade, almost making it seem like I was transparent, which I wasn't, but Hiiro had a more opaquish blue shade in his body, like a vibrant sky after rain.

Yes, They were similar but quite different when placed side by side.

But aside from that, a truly terrifying monster had just been born in the Great Forest of Jura.

Judging solely by magicule quantity, she was coming very close to my level. She may have hidden her presence, but a being with a certain level of strength immediately recognizes the worth of their opponent.

The same was happening here. Let's just say monsters had a Built-in-Strength detector like a radar. But that wasn't true for the most, as it required experience and so on.

If I had to fight her by any chance, I wouldn't lose, but she would give me a good run for my money, and I must have the resolve to take that fight to the death.

However, there was one thing I was more concerned about at the moment: her bodysuit.

You heard it right, folks.

Yes, it did cover everything below her neck, but that made it even more dangerous. The suit clung so closely to her body that every curve of her well-endowed figure was perfectly accentuated.

It was more of a turn-on than slightly peeking through ragged clothes.

Like, damn!

She could make most people lose their minds just with her looks alone. I didn't want to imagine the number of people who would try to hit on her if we were in my previous world.

She was truly an idol at this point.

However, the cool and icy look she had on her face most of the time made it almost impossible for anyone to dare to come closer. She only showed her truly cheerful side when it was just Hiiro and a little bit to me.

I would like to pray in advance for anyone stupid enough to anger or even just annoy her.

And I'm pretty sure it would happen very soon, with a big emphasis on the "very." It was my intuition, per se.
