Maysia Kingdom

For the summoning of the maiden and hero to be possible several "ingredients" were required.

A mana crystal, Adamantite ore, holy water, and the egg or cub of a dark dragon.

The Adamantite ore was found in the abandoned elven city "Alovera" hidden in the throne room.

The Holy Water was acquired from the Church of the Four Great Gods. The Church and The Adventurers Guild had a similar standing in regards to politics, Kingdoms and Queendoms could not intervene with them openly. Having a Maiden summoned would give more power to the church, and as all humans are greedy beings.

This last ingredient was the most difficult to obtain due to the scarce number of dark dragons, even if this was a fact the kingdom couldn't seek help from other countries as this "simple" favor would prove lethal politically speaking.

After weeks of search, the crown prince and his entourage returned with an elf whose belly was in full term, it was clear that the child and mother would be used as the last ingredient.

The woman's eyes looked empty of all hope, something I knew all too well. The feeling of helplessness and sorrow.

"Father" The crown prince knelt on a knee and a hand on his chest he greeted the king "I have brought the last thing for the summoning"

"Good, have the mages begin preparations and if the elf doesn't give birth by then… just rip it out of her stomach" The king's eyes showed no compassion for the elf in front of him.

They dragged the elf into a dungeon cell only providing her with the minimum necessities, every time they approached to hand her the meal, the sound of the soft and heart-aching melody was heard. Her song would always bring rain to her as if answering to her lullaby.

"Don't waste your time your precious lover is long gone…." The guards would mock her, only causing the hope in her eyes to dim.

'He's gone' She had one thing she could not afford to lose.

The preparation would at least take a week, the summoning circle needed to be perfect and the ingredients carefully used.

"I need…help," said in a barely audible voice

Netherlands

The early mornings when the sun had yet to fully rise, I aimed to the dense vegetation to train hunting down monsters,

I was determined on leveling up, from morning till dusk I hunted and battled. Using magic was more effective leveling wise but that did not give me the experience I so much lacked.

But after a week or so I stopped seeing any progress, "I guess you can only go so far with monsters huh"

The village we had created had improved by leaps, there were wooden houses with British medieval structures, but when it came to mine, I instructed them to construct it similar to the ones of my old world… of course, I didn't mention that last part to them.

Not long after a small manor with a bathing area was constructed, and of course, this was my favorite part of the house.

Let me explain to how it is powered, for heating purposes we used several enchanted rocks with fire runes, the house lit up thanks to the ilumina spells placed in jars, and it was possible to cool the house down thanks to the enchanted ice runes.

Sitting in the Onsen, I fiddled with my hair loss in thought, several things came to mind the most disturbing of them being the summoning of the Hero and the Maiden,

"Most of the things I heard they need are quite simple to get but the one that bothers me the most … is the child or bride of a dark dragon"

I furrowed my brows

'Should I go and take a look in Maysia?'

[Glimmires]

I changed my appearance to my adventurer form

I swiped my hand above the Guild card and several options appeared "So similar to a smartphone"

Nine's face came to view and I clicked on it

Contacting…

"OHHH Hiyori-san?" It seems that someone was having fun

"Nine, Id like to ask a favor"

"Mmm I am quite expensive you see," he said with a wide grin, then he seemed to notice my wet hair his face instantly flushed "Is this a really good time?"

Ignoring his question "I want to visit Maysia, you know I got a little interested in the summoning" A dangerous glint passed through my eyes

"Well I had a quest to go there, you can tag along but…"

"But?"

"Kai is partnering with me for the quest"

"… That's fine. I'll meet you in town tomorrow morning"

"Hiyori, I recall you told me you live quite far away"

"Don't worry I'll meet you at the guild"

Without waiting for Nine to continue I cut the communication, this would make things easier. As things are it would be best to see the enemy we might confront
