28 The Invitation

Old Luang calmly sipped tea as he sat on his rocking chair and gazed towards the dawning sun.

"It's been almost a month since that kid left. Given how he only needs to fill his meridians with Zu Qi, he should have atleast filled some of his main meridians by now, I guess."

Whenever Old Luang looked at Yenma, he was always reminded of his younger self and how dashing and handsome he used to look during those times but sadly, time didn't spare his looks.

"I must make sure that my disciple doesn't end up as a pitiful old man like me, a man with no family or any loved ones. Training wholeheartedly is good, but what's the use when you don't have a family to protect or any descendants to pass down your techniques?"

Old Luang reminisced his past as he looked towards the horizon.

The Old man's stupor didn't last long as he was interrupted, "Senior Luang?"

Turning around and seeing that it was Tin Yepong who had come to visit him, Old Luang was joyed, "Come here, take a seat little brother! What brings you here?"

Tin Yepong took a seat as he then spoke about the invitation letter of Situ family regarding their grand celebratory fest and also his reason for visit.

"Hmm. So you wanted to take Yenma with you? Although I feel it would be a good experience for him to step out of the village too... but currently he isn't here. He told me he has gone to train in the Miaoxiao mountain."

Tin Yepong's eyes suddenly brightened, 'Miaoxiao mountain? Isn't that the mountain where elder brother Yesei secluded himself? What a filial child! He has not strayed away from his loved ones even after stepping into the path of cultivation.'

Tin Yepong was very pleased with this nephew of his. Although Yepong wished the best for his nephew, he was also slightly afraid that his nephew will change into a whole different person after he steps into the cultivation world but clearly his worries were for naught since his nephew was still filial and cared about his family and loved ones.

Tin Yepong's worries were not without any foundation, his eldest son, Tin Lin who was coincidentally Old Luang's first disciple had completely changed into a whole different person after he started cultivating. Later when he left the village to experience the outside world, he never really returned back.

.

Old Luang knew what Yepong was thinking as he nodded in approval, "Yes, he is indeed a filial and talented child. Perhaps I should pay his father a visit too, hoho."

.

As the two men heartily discussed matters with each other, sounds of rustling could be heard from nearby.

Turning around they saw Yenma walking towards the cottage, his very being seemed to be in some resonance with the Zu Qi around him.

Seeing this, Luang's bushy old eyebrows shot up in surprise as he muttered in disbelief, "Qi-Formation Stage?! No, Its Half-step Qi Formation Stage!"

As Yenma looked at Old Luang, his eyes shone with excitement.

"Senior, I have already made it to Half-step Qi Formation Stage! I need your guidance to step into Qi Formation Stage."

"No. ", Luang heartlessly refused.

Yenma was shook, " Why? "

Luang replied, " Its been only one month and you have gone from Unblocking Meridians Stage to Half-Step Qi Formation Stage. Remember If you advance too fast on your path of cultivation, It will serve to only weaken your foundations and nothing else. "

Yenma thought it through and he realized that the old man's words indeed made sense, "Then what should I do? How would I know when it is the right time to breakthrough? "

Luang just pointed towards the seated Yepong and said, " Your Uncle has received an invitation to a feast from a prominent town, why not join him? It will broaden your horizons. "

"That seems do-able." , Yenma nodded. He didn't know much about this world except for the Miaoxiao mountain and the village, this would indeed be a great opportunity for him.

Seeing that everything was already settled, Yepong took his leave as he brought back Yenma with him to the village to get the required travel necessities and begin their travel.
