Elvish Enchantment

"now remember that we hear to buy you some decent starting equipment so that you get a better start on your life as an adventurer than I did cousin". Aleesia said to me as I began to wonder around the market district of her city with a glimmer in my eye at all the mysterious and shiny items that I had never seen before.

The first store that caught my attention was a store that sold custom-made weapons with magical enchantment runes on them. In the front of the store there was a table that had a set of daggers that had a blue sheath on them with a black seal on it that drew me towards the store.

"So it looks like you have quite a Keen eye Miss. Are you interested in buying these daggers?" A tall male half elf blacksmith said to me.

"Are you looking at these daggers cousin". Aleesia asked me as she came up beside me and was looking at the same table I was.

When she approached the shopkeeper became all serious and so that I can professional and bowing at me instead of treating me like a normal person. I still have not gotten used to the fact that my cousin was a lord over an Elvin City and that people treated her differently than they would anyone else.

It felt truly irritating that I could not go anywhere alone; but after the time I was kidnapped she has taken it upon herself to either give me a group of five guards to guard me at all times or to guard me herself. I cannot blame my cousin for wanting to protect me since I am still fairly new to this world and it's dramatic changes in technology and culture compared to when I was on Earth.

"Yes I was looking at the daggers. I found them to be quite appealing to my eye as well as quite useful since that seal on the hilt marks it as a continuous enchantment dagger enchanted with ice magic right?" I asked her so that she knew that I was paying attention to the things she was telling me about this world that made it different from Earth.

"Yes it is one of the arts that only the elves are allowed to have. We do not allow any other species to know how we do this since it gives us a massive advantage in trading with the other species that we are at peace with right now.

You also can only get one nice item from me as a blessing to him hope that you succeed well. You will have to choose either armor a weapon, or a enhanced brace for your companion."

I stood still for a while thinking about what I would prioritize if I had to make a choice early on so that I can excel quickly and make a name for myself as an adventurer.

"Well I think I will value weapons above All else since as an assassin my weapons are my most important tool in my arsenal." I told her after I had finally made my decision.

"If that is the case then miss can I take you inside to the inner part of my store where the more special items are made?" The smith asked me as he bowed to my cousin.

"Follow him in there and make your decision and I will be here to pay for it. You cannot spend more than two hundred silver on your weapons!". I heard her exclaim to me as I started to follow the smith into the main part of his store past the forge.

As I entered into the store I could see that the inside was quite massive and that he had sectioned off the different grades of items that he had made based on their value or possibly on the tears of materials that he had used to craft them.

We passed by all the cheap bronze items that was mostly used for starter adventurers or soldiers that were in training. After that we had made it through past the iron and most of the basic magical items to the back section of his store where he had put all of his mastered items that looked very high-end and quite viable which made me back up because my cousin said I only had a certain amount of money to spend.

"Do not be shy I have a large variety of options will fit what you're looking for in the section. You will get a discount of course since the lord of the city is paying for my services ma'am". He said is he bowed to me which made me upset because I wanted to be treated like everyone else not like anyone special at all even if my cousin was his lord.

"What element are you wanting your daggers to be enchanted with?" He asked me as he opened a case that showed a set of daggers that had a large variety of different colored symbols on it.

I was lost and thought for a bit because I needed to think of this carefully. The kind of weapons that would choose would determine what kind of quests I would take. What kind of adventure did I want to be? My cousin told me that she was an explorer for the most part as well as an exterminator.

After some thought I'd finally come to a decision that I wanted to make my career as an exterminator only since that would probably be the type of mission that would help my assassin's skills grow the fastest.

"I think that I want to have a pair of poison enchanted daggers if you have any." I said with a look of determination.

After I spoke the smith rose to his feet and left the room to go into a small room that was in the rear right corner of this one.

A few minutes passed when he came out with a box that looked like it had been drenched in dust and had not been moved In years.

"This is the best poison dagger that I have available for someone who is of your status miss". He said as he opened it and showed me what was inside.

The daggers looked as though they had never been touched and I could truly tell him that this was a masterpiece because it had green gemstones along the hilt of both of the blades and a green skull crest logo on the sheath the can continue topulse and glow.

"All right I can truly tell that this is a masterpiece and a well made weapon. I will take it."I said that I twinkle in my eye as I shook his hand.

"Then to make it official let me go talk to the lady of the land and see what she thinks about the product because I would not dare cheat a relative of the lady of the land." He said is he close the box and ran past me with much haste behind every step.

I then followed him out and walked a little slower just so I could see if there was anything else in here that interests me at all. I was not able to find anything very interesting after walking through examining all the piles of stuff that he had available for purchase.

This blacksmith's shop was such a mess that you could not tell that he had any decent weapons without him directly telling you about it. His shop definitely needs a woman's touchin order to make it more appealing to the crowd of individuals in the city.

"Well the deal is finalized miss enjoy your new daggers and may they bring you great success in your endeavors". He said to me as he tapped me on the shoulder and handed me the daggers.

When I put them on I felt as though I was able to even slay a Minotaur or even a dragon with these weapons and my disposal.

I left the store and follow my cousin around town to get myself a decent set of leather armor and then made my way to the Adventurer's Hall in this town since my new life was going to begin as soon as I walked through those door.
