2 Prolonged 2 | History

In the early days of apocalypse until humans finally regained their lost territories from the beasts and monsters he was revered as a hero by many.

Unfortunately, humans are humans in the end, they were a sinful bunch through and through no matter the circumstances.

He was later betrayed by the very people he protected and guided through the apocalypse, afraid to lose their authority and resource control over the masses they decided backstab him.

It was not enough that they had betrayed him, they even made him into a weapon.

But fate seems to play a different direction.

The home planet and almost all humans in the solar system were wiped clean by a powerful race that just happened to pass by.

At that time during the event he just withdrew from the frontline for maintenance.

He was put in a stasis chamber in a moon based located at the space region of Jupiter.

This in turn allowed him to avoid the sudden catastrophe that befalls upon humanity, and its planet.

In his wake after the destruction of the human race, and its mother planet Earth, Kierby's hidden program [Code Retribution] was forcibly activated, forcing him to grow in the most optimal and fastest way possible before issuing a counter-attack and revenge plan against the destroyer of the human race.

This program is nothing but a last ditch unpredictable action that did not have any appearent success rate.

This program was only reserved as a revenge plan and wasn't implemented during the war times.

Humans being humans are pitiful, often morally hypocritical until the end to the point that they'll be afraid of their own people growing too strong and usurp their power even though the risk of their civilization being erased is apparent.

Long of years of prolonged journey for power he finally made his appearance, appearing before the home planet of the [Azure Titan Race] called [Geon].

He sneaks in and attacks the very core of the planet with a single sword slash containing enough power to decimate everything in sight resulting in the destruction of the planet, massacring billions of life in the process crippling the [Azure Titan Race].

Following his first emergence he moved from galaxy to galaxy annihilating every member and allies of the [Azure Titan Race] bringing forth greater destruction turning the already chaotic universe to fall into far greater turmoil.

Years later after the destruction of the Azure Titan Race and its allies, he was successfully subdued by another race, a battle junky of a race called the [Blood Dragons].

But to their awe and excitement of facing off a supposed mad powerhouse, they were disbelieve beyond dissatisfaction as the target they've been tracking all this time for a worthy fight didn't bother to fight back or retaliate against their indiscriminate assaults.

In the end they decided to just imprison the unresponsive Kierby in one of their most secured hidden prisons.

In his long imprisonment years later back to the current time, the encroachment of the Primordial Ruination reached the point where the barrier of Starlight that protected the universe from outside interference finally collapsed. Thereafter, a multitude of higher tier energies, chaos beast, and outer existence began invading Starlight, destroying every existing civilization whether they are a strong or a small one without exception.

This resulted in the current moment where the annihilation of [Starlight] is inevitable.

"Poor child. You have undergone too much suffering and darkness, far greater than any average mortal soul could have handled, while you did possess the power beyond the gods your soul has yet to reach that level of power resulting in an abnormal unbalanced.

You have reached a power surpassing the gods through your efforts without stepping in the realm itself, that had been forced upon you to burden.

But in exchange your very existence is just a single step from being completely extinguished into nothingness due to the heavy weight you carry.

Possessing power beyond your capabilities is also too great of a burden.

Now you don't need to worry anymore, relax and let me help you, my child."

"I can erase your memories so these burdens weighing heavily on your back will vanish. Starting over anew, reincarnating you normally should be the correct action but the abnormalities in you that had completely Integrated to your very soul would surely complicate things."

She stared straight at Kierby's vibrant golden eyes, awaiting his response.

"You don't have to, while it certainly is heavy, I need to carry this burden with me.

So, as long as I live, I need not ignore the things that resulted due to my actions. How can I live a free life if I escape such responsibility, even if you were to erase my memories I know deep in me that the burdens wouldn't just vanish?

I would rather not be hunted by such images without knowing what I've done to deserve them. So instead of choosing to escape the responsibility, I want to embrace it head on. Call me naïve, idiot or whatnot I care not as it's my life me decision.

Me now is freer than ever whether I live or die the next moment, I care not, as being free is more than enough for me."

*Crack…!*

The moment he was done releasing the pent-up suppressed thoughts and emotions he had into words, a loud cracking sound reverberated, issuing a surprise on Starlight's face.

Starlight, knowing what the sudden sound meant, was shocked and overjoyed for the troubled child.

"You really are one peculiar child, while you aren't my biological child, to me, you are my most precious child.

Facing such forced upon burdens and responsibilities head-on even though you didn't commit them yourself needs more than just any simple commitments to push forward through.

You, on the other hand, didn't even bother hesitating, even though you are still in the process of recovering.

Your true nature that has been imprisoned for a long time is slowly but surely blossoming." (Starlight)

She's really proud of him, in her almost eternal life span she never once encountered such a peculiar child. Most people when put in the same situation would snap out of control, becoming mad. There were even some that didn't know their place and would start cursing; unfairness and injustice, using the excuse of what they've been put through as justification when they began asking for compensation. Even the so-called heroes, saints, and gods are no exception to these things, as most of the people that encounter the mother origin of realities egos were those that committed unbelievable deeds during their life.

"You've even broken through the limitations of your origin. Such a thing that shouldn't have been possible when one is in the realm of nothingness. I don't really know the details myself, but expect a great boon and fortune from this."

"You mean that sound that resembles a glass shattering."

He looked up, gazing straight at Starlight's mystical eyes in anticipation as he asked back.

Starlight chimed as she nodded.

'This child's innocence and naivety is beginning to surface.'

Starlight thought in a troubled and weary smile. While innocence and naivety aren't terrible qualities, it isn't really good either.

Imagine an innocent and naïve child in possession of a nuclear weapon that with one simple press can be triggered, what do you think would happen. This caused Starlight to have a weary and troubled expression. Because if he developed into that direction, she could only apologize in advance to her fragmented ego that would be assigned to look after him when he reincarnated in another reality. She could already imagine her fragmented ego cursing her restlessly. Knowing that her ego would surely possess the same characteristics, behavior, and knowledge as her, such a thing will surely happen.

Looking up above the endless nothingness, Starlight continued.

"Kierby, from now on, you have to listen carefully to what I am going to share with you."

The two stared at each other, the previous innocent glimmer in his eyes was immediately replaced by a serious and profound one.

Noticing the sudden change in his aura, a glimmer of surprise flashes through Starlight's eyes. She didn't expect that he could easily transition between his innocent child-like naïve behavior and into a profound serious one without any prior or drastic aftereffects. Her surprise was justifiable. Because of his strange circumstances, he had developed split personalities, but what's strange about this is the fact he is in perfect control over all of them.
