Chapter 2

"Ugh, what the heck..."

Xi Mo woke up with a splitting headache, causing him to grip his head tightly, confused at what is going on. The headache eventually disappears and he can finally get up, so he does. Looking around the cave, the luminous pearls are no longer shining, and the Spiritual Lake is completely empty, causing him to be dumbfounded.

"I really did absorb the entire Spiritual Lake in 9 hours, but how is that possible? A Spiritual Lake this size could last 5 people with Heavenly Spirit Roots 12 days back on the Martial World, but just me with my Immortal Spirit Root absorbed it in 9 hours? Was the Immortal Spirit Root always so weird? Well, I have never seen a person with Immortal Spirit Root, since the last person with it was from 50000 years ago."

Xi Mo just sighed, but when he looked down at his body, he was shocked. When he took over the body, it was malnourished and skinny with no muscles existing on it, and the face was below average. Now, however, his body was no longer malnourished, and looked very healthy. There were also proper muscles spread throughout the entire body, and although he can't see his face, he knows it changed for the better.

"What the heck is this? Is this the reason I was so exhausted after absorbing the Spiritual Lake? It was changing my body? I really don't get it, was it a special Spiritual Lake or is it due to my Immortal Spirit Root? Eh? Wait, why do I feel more Spiritual Essence in this cave when I absorbed the Spiritual Lake already?"

While Xi Mo was marveling at the change of his body, he suddenly felt a burst of Spiritual Essence from the cave even though he already completely absorbed the Spiritual Lake, so he gets curious and excited and rushes in the direction he felt it from.

He comes up to a wall but he feels around it and eventually a hidden pathway appears before him, so he quickly runs through it, as he is curious about what this Spiritual Essence is coming from. At the end of the path, he is in a smaller cave than before, but what was inside shocked him.

"Impossible! Why are there so many Spiritual Treasure here?! This... This is a ten thousand year old ginseng, and this! This is a 5000 year old Heavenly Sun Herb! This is rare even on the Martial World! Wait, this is! Impossible! Why is there a Heavenly Blood Ore here?!"

Looking over all the items, Xi Mo was shocked endlessly. Even back on the Martial World, all of these Spiritual Treasures were rare! He just can't believe that a world with such thin Spiritual Essence could have all these treasures on it!

"If only I had a Storage Ring I could take all of this... Wait, am I stupid? I can just make one! Although I have to be at Martial Warrior to create a Storage Ring, with all these Spiritual Treasures here, how could I not reach Martial Warrior? There is even enough material to create one! With the Heavenly Blood Ore, I could create a Storage Ring that could hold 50 times this amount!"

Xi Mo's excitement was at it's peak, so he grabbed a Spiritual Herb and instantly swallowed it, sitting down and revolving his Great Heavens Mantra, absorbing the Spiritual Essence stored within it. Within hours, he completely absorbed the Spiritual Essence of the herb, and he is at the peak of Martial Practitioner stage 5!

"Hahahaha! My luck is really bullshit! Even on the Martial World, I was the luckiest person to live! I found Heavenly Resources and Heavenly Treasures constantly! Now on this world with thin Spiritual Essence, I can actually find all these treasures that can replace it! Hahaha, let's continue!"

Xi Mo grabs another herb, then another, then another, then another and he continues to swallow dozens of Spiritual Herbs while completely absorbing all the Spiritual Essence stored within them for the next 4 months, until he finally enters Martial Warrior.

Once he entered Martial Warrior, a formless blast of energy spread out from Xi Mo's body, pushing everything away from him. Finally, the Heavenly Tribulation for Martial Warrior came crashing down on his body, but it actually disperses instantly upon touching his body!

Even Xi Mo was shocked that the Heavenly Tribulation dispersed instantly! There have been no cases of something like this happening even once on the Martial World! Unable to calm himself, Xi Mo began laughing madly when he checked his dantian!

"Hahahah! I reached Martial Warrior in a mere 4 months! I took 3 years to do that on the Martial World! I can't believe my luck, hahahaha! Who cares why the Heavenly Tribulation dispersed like that? Let's get that Storage Ring made!"

Xi Mo grabs the Heavenly Blood Ore, a Runic Talisman Paper, a Black Steel Ore and a Heavenly Gold Ore and brought them in front of him. He starts with the Runic Talisman Paper, using his Spiritual Essence to write the runes of a Storage Ring, which he has done many times back on the Martial World.

Settled with that, he uses his Spiritual Essence to lift the Heavenly Blood Ore, Black Steel Ore and Heavenly Gold Ore into the air and began melting them down with his Spiritual Essence. Although the process is tiring, Xi Mo does it perfectly, and he combines all the melted down ores into a small circular item.

After fully combining the ores together, Xi Mo finally created a perfect ring. It is fully black with gold markings on the outside and red markings on the inside. He excitedly grabs the ring and looks over it completely, looking for any problems.

"Hahaha! I completed the ring without any problems! Perfect, lets use the Talisman now!"

Xi Mo grabs the Runic Talisman Paper that has the space rune on it that Xi Mo wrote and then started combining them together. Eventually, the Runic Talisman Paper turned into white lights that entered the ring, causing a multitude of words to appear on the inside of the ring, signifying that Xi Mo completed the Storage Ring.

"I actually created it in one try! I guess all that experience in creating Storage Rings back on the Martial World helped me create this one perfectly, even though I am just at Martial Warrior. But still, my Spiritual Essence is nearly depleted! Hah, lets just collect everything here, since all of this is rare stuff."

Xi Mo bites his finger and drips blood onto the ring, successfully binding it to himself. He grins and wears the Storage Ring on his finger and then runs around the cave, collecting every single Spiritual Treasure inside.

Looking at all the rare Spiritual Treasures inside his Storage Ring, Xi Mo can't himself from grinning as he didn't have any of these Spiritual Treasures even back on the Martial World, so he can't help himself from being happy.

"Now that I am at Martial Warrior, I can finally use some of my weaker techniques stored within my Soul Space. Now that I know about these guns and bombs, I need to cultivate one of my defense techniques, or else I could die from a single one of them without being able to protect myself."

Xi Mo sat down and began searching through his Soul Space, looking for a suitable defense technique. He ignores his Demonic God Body, Heavenly Buddha Body and even his Godly Absorption Body. He finally finds one he can use properly on this world and begins to cultivate it.

"I finally found one I can use here! The Beastly King Body, a technique where my body can be as strong as a Demonic Beast at the peak of Martial Lord, which is perfect. I could defend against all those guns with my body if I fully cultivate it, so I should begin now."

Xi Mo sits down and begins revolving the Beastly King Body technique, and within hours, his body has a slight glint to it, meaning he completed the first part of the technique. There are a total of 10 parts to the technique, and he already completed the first part!

"Sure enough, the Immortal Spirit Root lets me cultivate anything faster, so I can cultivate techniques like this quickly. Although I would love to continue, I have completely depleted my Spiritual Essence, so I should rest for a while."

Xi Mo sighed and sit down on the ground, closing his eyes. It was like he was going to cultivate, but he is really just meditating to rest and refill his Spiritual Essence, so it is different from cultivating. He completely used his Spiritual Essence up, so he actually took over a week to recover it all.

Opening his eyes, Xi Mo knew he refilled his Spiritual Essence completely, so he smiles. Now that he refilled his Spiritual Essence completely, it is time to do something. When Xi Mo thought of it, a dangerous light shone in his eyes.

"Since I am at Martial Warrior now, it is time to take revenge for this body. That bastard from the middle school that killed the original owner of the body. Since I am in this body now, I should take revenge for him. That guy was named Yu Shi, right? Lets go kill him."

Xi Mo laughed slightly and stood up, leaving the hidden part of the cave. Running through the passageway, he eventually got back to the large cave and climbed up out of it from the same spot as before. He looked down at his clothes and saw they were torn, so he figured he should return 'home' first and change.

Xi Mo uses the memories of the body to find the way to his house and ran there. Whenever he passed by a person, all they would see was his shadow and feel a gust of wind, nobody even seeing what it was exactly that passed them.

A few minutes later, Xi Mo eventually got to his house that is in the slums of the city, and while it is a rundown house, at least it isn't ruined, so he can use it as a shelter, at least. He opens the door and enters the house, closing it behind him.

The first thing Xi Mo sees when he enters the house is dust everywhere, causing him to frown. He is a clean person, so with all this dust around, he can't handle it. He waves his hand and used a bit of Spiritual Essence to completely get rid of all the dust inside, and it is finally cleaner now.

Nodding his head, Xi Mo enters his room and opens the wobbly dresser inside, taking out a random pair of clothing to replace his current rags. Although the clothes are weird, he gets used to them quickly.

"This world is just like the Martial World in a few aspects, huh. If you don't have strength, you are just useless. The same goes for wealth. Without wealth, how can you do anything? It looks like I need to find out a way to get this so called money."

Xi Mo sighs. He really doesn't know how he can obtain wealth in this world, with all these weird things around. He suddenly thinks of something and his eyes shine in excitement. He grins and eventually starts laughing happily.

"How could I forget about this! This Yu Shi guy has a rich family, so when I go to kill them, I can just take their money! Well lets get going there now, I do need to kill them soon!"

Xi Mo grins and pulls out a pair of black clothing from his dresser and wears it, and rips up a black shirt and puts part of it around his face, so as to not get identified by anybody, as it is too dangerous with his current strength.

Luckily, it was already nearing night time, so it is already pretty dark out, which helps him. The original owner of the body knows where this Yu Shi guy lives, as does everybody in the city basically. He follows his memories and finds himself at a large mansion, so he smile evilly.

"So this is where they live. Compared to my rundown place, these rich people sure do have good places. Well, I will be rich after I rob them, hehe."

Although he hasn't cultivated a movement technique yet, Xi Mo is too fast for any of the guards to see him, so he rushes past them like a gust of wind. He sees an open window, so he jumps up to it and flies through it, entering a bedroom.

He looks around and figures this is that Yu Shi guys bedroom, as it has perverted things all around. Snorting in disdain, Xi Mo hides in a corner and silently waits for someone to enter. Not long later, the door opens and a young man enters, and Xi Mo instantly knows it is Yu Shi.

Yu Shi is dragging a crying maid with him into the room and locks the door behind him, throwing the maid onto his bed. He smiles lustfully as he removes his clothes, showing his naked body to the maid.

Xi Mo sighed slightly. Poor maid, although she won't be getting raped since he was here, she would still be dying. He uses a bit of Spiritual Essence and waves his hand towards Yu Shi and the maid, and the Spiritual Essence turns into a needle that pierces both of their hearts.

Before they could even react, they already died. Xi Mo searches around the room, and eventually finds the so called money. Using his memories, he found around 500000 or so inside the room, so he simply places it all into his Storage Ring and leaves the room silently.

He kills anybody he passes and eventually he got to the room where Yu Shi's father stays at, Yu Gui. Xi Mo killed everybody else in the mansion already, so only Yu Gui is alive. He simply kicks open the door and enters, seeing Yu Gui jump out of his chair in surprise.

"Who are you! How dare you break into my room! Guards!"

"There are no guards. You are the only person still alive in this mansion. Even your little brat Yu Shi is dead."

Xi Mo laughs at the screaming Yu Gui and spoke to him. When Yu Gui heard him, his eyes opened wide in disbelief as he rushed past Xi Mo and into the hallway, while Xi Mo allowed him. Once Yu Gui enters the hallway, he instantly sees all the servants and guards in his house dead on the ground.

"You have your son to blame for this. You shouldn't spoil him so much, or else you would bring disaster to yourself. Now it is your turn, Yu Gui."

Yu Gui heard Xi Mo speak to him from behind, but he didn't react due to his shock. He then felt something pierce his heart from behind, and he instantly fell onto the ground, dead. Xi Mo looks at the dead Yu Gui and then enters his room.

He walks over to a safe at the corner of the room and waves his hand, instantly smashing off the door of the safe. Looking inside, Xi Mo can see a lot of money, so he grins and grabs it all. Counting it, he found there to be 4 or 5 million inside, so he was happy.

Although it wasn't a lot, it was enough for him to last for a while. He puts it all into his Storage Ring and then rushes out of the mansion, running back to his rundown house. He pulls off his black clothes and sits down on his bed after swallowing a Spiritual Herb and began cultivating.
