AWAKENING

It's cold

Really cold

her body is freezing and her throat feels so dry, scratchy and thirsty.

"Water" Rose tried to ask wishing someone would hear her.

"wa a- ter" she tried again struggling

"Young lady!" Rose suddenly heard a familiar voice calling her and she felt her rushing to her side.

"Young lady!" the voice called again with alert and then rose felt a warm hand touched her back and her upper body lifted up a little, then a brace of warm liquid touched her dry lips.

she drank like she was chasing for her life, afterward she force to slowly open her eyes.

It was all blurry at first but when she adjusted her sight to see clearly, the very first thing her eyes landed on was a young and very worried looking face. it was wet, sign that she just cried. she was right now leaning on this girl's lap.

This face that she longs to see is in front of her now.. it took a while before her mind started working again. She tried to lift her hand and touch her blushing cheeks full of freckles to make sure that she is not dreaming.

'Anita, I can touch her, she's warm, she's real'

Her heart pounded, It ca -can't be

'She is alive, She is alive!' Rose kept repeating on her mind

"Young Miss?" the young maid confusingly asked because her young miss right now is acting really weird, the young miss is touching her face which startled her. maybe she has dirt on her face? she felt her fingers slowly wiping the wetness on her face. she can't help but blush.

Her miss right now looks so weak and exhausted because she just had a fever but because of her temperament right now.it affects her whole aura and she looks really beautiful with her long silver hair on loose, her red lips and white soft skin and her amber eyes. it's just too bad that other people can't see this.

"Help me up" Rose ordered which Anita oblige immediately. she assisted her to sit up and lean on the hard wooden headboard. after she helped her sit down, she stood right by her bedside.

Rose slowly analyze the whole room. she noticed that she is in a very familiar looking room. it's really simple and not much but she knows every corner of this room.

If she is right this is - -

She just needs to confirm one thing

"Young Miss, I'm so happy you are awake, I was starting to get really worried" Anita said while starting to weep. suddenly when her young miss woke up, she felt a huge relief and at the same time sadness filled her, for some weird reason, her emotions started to burst out and started to cry again.

Rose didn't say anything and stare at Anita, this girl speaking to her right at this moment should have been already long dead and the room she is on now should be ruined and burned by the fire!

"Young Miss a - are you al- - right?" the maid asked between her sobs because rose is not talking and just staring at her with her baffled like eyes. it seems she was back to reality when she heard Anita.

"Young Mi - - miss?"

"Anita, what is the date today?" out of the blue rose asked which startled Anita because the way rose looked at her. when her young miss just woke up earlier, she felt chill because her eyes don't show any emotions but changed as soon as those eyes landed on her, Anita has mixed emotions right now but she put this feeling aside and answer her young miss without any further questions like as to why she is asking so suddenly about the date or if she is feeling alright now.

"Answering Young Miss question, today is the 5th of the calendar Xxxx" she answered but as soon as this words left Anita's mouth, she noticed the change of atmosphere and her young miss seems so surprised and confused?

There is a sudden silence in the room

"........"

"Young Miss?" she asked again.

Her young miss is spacing out a lot today

"Anita then my mother?"

Anita's eyes widen when Rose asked about the Mistress, her young miss is unconscious for three days and within these three days, a lot has happened and the mistress, She - - she

'died'

this one word, she hates to say it, no it's not that - - it's just that she cannot say it, she doesn't have the heart to give the young miss the terrible news, she can't do it to her and hurt her feelings, her young miss will be hurt so deeply.

thinking of this news will wound her young miss since she knew how much she loves her mother, unconsciously her eyes started to tear up by itself while directly looking at the beautiful amber eyes of her young miss

"Stop." Her Miss ordered firmly and coldly, she unconsciously touches her face to see it's wet

"I'm Sorry - -" she was not able to finish when rose cut her off

"Do not apologize, I know about mother, you don't have to say it, wipe your tears and leave me alone for now, I need to take a rest" rose ordered. Anita was baffled, how did she know? she was unconscious for three days.

"but young miss - -" she was about to ask what she knows but she cut her off again

"Go take a rest. I will call you when I need of your service" rose said and lay down to the bed facing her back at her. she sighed deeply, Anita felt powerless and can't do anything for her miss

"Then I will come immediately as soon as you summon me my lady" she said and reluctantly leave.
