16 The Encounter with a Dragon King

The mighty flames which looked like they could swallow them whole by even touching them for a moment prevented them from escaping from that area. The Drake version of the Hell Dragon charged towards them when Lux turned back in hopes to stop it and let the others escape.

"No Lux don't be reckless. You can't fight against it !!" Alice warned as Lux faced the Drake who was still charging towards them.

"Yes if we try we may make it over to the other side without having to fight it." Gilbert also warned him seeing that they were no match for Drake.

Lux had already calculated that they wouldn't be able to make it to the other side of these fierce flames, so he had decided to directly face it.

"Don't worry about me I will figure out something. At that time you all try to get to the other side" Lux said as he handed the dungeon exiting stone to Gilbert and faced the Drake.

If it was in his previous life, this Drake would not even stand a chance against him. But, in this life he would have a lot of trouble to even hold it back for a moment.

"Concentrated Gravity Field" Lux chants as he concentrates all the force of his gravity field in one specific area. This would increase the force of the gravity field by tenfold even if he was in his current state.

But, with even this much force, Drake didn't slow down much. It was just enough to break its charge for a second when the field was interrupted by Drake's unrivaled power. This was the moment when Lux realized that the Drake before him was preparing to cast fireball.

Looking at its current state, the fireball would be a 100 times more powerful than the hell hound they had faced against in the way here. Lux, realizing the Drake was targeting him, quickly used Gravity Counter and moved towards the back of the Drake.

He wanted the Drake to change the direction of the cast as it would also hit his friends if he stayed in their direction. The Drake completely focused on Lux, changed it's direction and followed its aim towards him.

After it finished gathering enough fire, it shot out a big ball of flame towards Lux who had already reached the other side of the area from Drake. The ball of flame was so intense that it could completely vaporize Lux the moment it would touch him.

The Drake had seen Lux using his spell "Concentrated Gravity Field" so, possessing intelligence of its own, it had tried to copy him and had shot a Concentrated fireball which was smaller in size compared to it's force. It looked like a miniature sun being shot at Lux at a frighteningly tremendous speed.

Lux quickly dodged this fireball with all his strength by sliding towards the other side of the direction from the fireball. The firewall went and hit the wall of the cave that was surrounding them. When it collided with the wall, the whole area shook and pieces of rock started to fall down covering the area with dust.

Taking advantage of this situation, Lux quickly arrived in front of the Drake who was ready to cast its second fireball.

"Earth Control: Hands of Crushing" Lux chanted as 2 big hands emerged from the ground beneath the Drake and surrounded it completely trapping it inside its palm. Then, the 2 hands started merging, crushing Drake inside of it.

But, this was not enough as Drake broke out of it completely unscathed. The Drake became angry seeing a mere human trying to fight with it. In it's rage, it finished charging Fireball and looked for Lux to finish him.

Lux was already a step before him and arrived behind it unnoticed. It turned around to look for Lux who was flying just behind him. After Drake saw him, it opened and a big crack appeared from its mouth getting ready to shoot the fireball it had finished charging. Seeing this, instead of trying to dodge it, he started casting one of his own spells.

"Flame God Spear: Rank One" Lux chanted as a big spear of fire appeared before him. He shot the spear of flame towards the open mouth of the Drake before it could even react. The spear was aimed at its mouth at the perfect timing and it went inside of Drake's mouth.

"Bamm!!!!" A huge explosion which, just from its sound could make your ears bleed sounded throughout the whole area. Everyone closed their ears with their hands to reduce the strain of such a loud noise.

The spear had attacked the Fireball in the mouth of the Drake and it had exploded at the time of contact. Huge amount of smoke covered the whole place of explosion and the people who were watching Lux fighting against the Drake could not see what had happened. The whole area which was booming with fierce fights became silent for a while. Even the surrounding flames that were so fierce looked a little calmer now.

They all thought that Lux was able to beat it but, hearing no answer from Lux, they stayed silent waiting for Lux to jump out from the smoke any second.

After that, the dust and smoke settled out and they saw Lux barely standing against the Drake. The Drake although injured was still looking like it had more than half of its strength remaining. Lux with the little of his left strength planned on one last measure to deal with this Drake before him.

The Drake before him roared once more in anger of being harmed so much by the human standing before it. Right now, without even casting any spell, it rushed towards Lux to give one last finishing blow by its own pure strength. Everyone panicked and tried to rush towards Lux to save him.

But, as everyone was looking at this scene, just before Drake reached Lux, the tips of his lips started rising up forming a clear smile like everything was going his way.

"Soul Seal !!" Lux chanted as White Chains of Light started coming out from Lux and restrained Drake in front of him. The Drake used all of its strength to try and break free from Lux's restricting white chains of light but, no matter how much it struggled it could not break free.

Soon after, the whole area shone with blinding light that could even affect the people with their eyes closed. After a while, the light slowly disappeared and everyone saw the situation before them.

The Drake that was chained before a moment ago was no more and had disappeared just like that. They couldn't understand what had really happened but they rushed over to Lux who had fought against it and was still standing with the little amount of strength he had left in him.
