4 Soul Weapons!?!

After Lunch break, the story of Lux beating Dan and his lackeys without even touching them spread throughout the class. Everyone was shocked by hearing the story while some didn't even believe it.

Dan was already considered a genius for being level 13 in just a span of 1 month after the academic year had started. He was in a really bad mood when everyone was talking about how he was beaten by Lux.

"That bastard!!!! The next time I see him, I will kill him."

Dan started shouting in anger. Everyone around him became silent when they saw his anger. Then, Dan put some mana into the ring he was wearing and 'poof' a shining device came out from there.

The shine of the device filled the room and blinded everyone for a moment. Some seconds later, the shine went out and everyone saw what the device that Dan had summoned was. Everyone was caught at the end of their breath when they saw what Dan had summoned.

He had summoned his soul weapon. It is a weapon made by a special type of metal called Xibiliber. The weapon can only be used by its contractor. A contract can be formed with the weapon when the soul of the wielder and the soul of the weapon become compatible with each other.

Also, the weapon can only be wielded by its contractor. Using magic through such weapons is said to increase the power of its wielder by 10 times if they can control their mana properly and is also very expensive. So, it is only given to the Mages after they graduate from academy.

But, the children from noble families get to use such weapons from their early childhood. That is also the reason for the power difference between the common and noble families.

The soul weapon could be anything from a sword, staff, shield, spear or a bow. Dan had a sword for his soul weapon which was known for its high damage output.

Seeing this action take place, the leader of the class, Gilbert stepped in this situation to warn Dan.

"Hey, don't go overboard with it. Using soul weapons against other students in the academy except for a duel is forbidden."

"Don't you dare teach me around. That bastard Lux also was using some kind of cheat device otherwise he would have never escaped from my hands. I will use my soul weapon to kill him for humiliating me."

Alice also tried to join this situation to hold Dan off.

"Hey Dan!!! Gilbert is right. You should not be using that around right now. Don't go around doing stupid things."

"Shut up, you bitch. If not for your family status then, you would be the second to receive the same treatment like Lux. "

The environment around the classroom was getting very tense with the verbal fighting between the 3 students from noble families. Nobody else dared to even stop them fearing they will only get injured by doing so.

Gilbert and Alice were level 15 but, they didn't have enough mastery over their soul weapons, so Dan could already be considered being stronger than them even with their level difference.

"Yo, guys what is going on here ?"

In the situation where Dan and the others were fighting on the topic of Lux, he makes his entry in the classroom without even noticing the atmosphere around. When he made his entry, the whole class was too shocked to even react.

Dan was the only one who was blazing with anger. His eyes fully prepared to attack Lux. Sensing the danger, Lux puts up his guard and becomes ready for defending against Dan.

Everyone becomes shocked looking at Lux preparing to defend himself. Lux had never in his life put up a defensive stance against Dan. He would always wait for Dan and his lackeys to finish bullying him and endured it all.

Dan charges at Lux with his full power. Lux could see how Dan was wasting a lot of his mana while charging Lux with emotions. Even though Dan's soul weapon control was great among the youngsters, he wasn't in that level where he could bring out the full potential of his weapon.

Letting Dan hit Lux, would not even be able to slash him. It was because the way Dan was holding the sword could not hit Lux the way he wanted.

Everyone gasps at the moment when Dan charges Lux with a sword charged with lightning. Everyone was ready for some huge impact when.

"HUH?"

Dan gets slammed to the ground right before Lux's feet. His soul weapon was in the hands of the person who slammed him to the floor and stopped his charge.

"Good thing I came just in time."

"Miss Garden?!?!!"

Everyone was shocked. Everything was happening too fast. Dan attacking Lux, Miss Garden stepping in to stop him just in time. They all were silent for a while to process everything that took place right before their eyes.

"Thank god miss Garden I thought that I was dead for sure over there."

Miss Garden turns towards Lux who was the most calm of all the students and was in his usual joking mode. '

'Considering the one who should be traumatized the most, he was the most calm of all. We sure have some interesting students this year.', Miss Garden smiles a little by thinking that.

"Dan is too dangerous. He nearly killed Lux."

"Yeah, we should not associate ourselves with him anymore. Otherwise, we may also be caught in his line of anger someday."

"Shouldn't he be expelled for doing such things ?"

Students went to their usual mood of gossiping among themselves again. Gilbert and Alice were too surprised. They were thankful towards Miss Garden for helping prevent any kind of serious injury that could have taken place.

Miss Garden was hiding the fact that he was not going to get expelled by adding words like 'he will be taught a good punishment'. If people from other normal families were to do stuff like this in school then, they will be expelled for sure.

'So noble families have more power then I thought.'

Lux had realized that Dan was not going to get expelled. However, he never even wanted to expel Dan in the first place. He had believed that Dan has high potential in himself and if taught properly then, will become a great Mage someday.

'I should try to bring him to my side. It will be beneficial to have him by my side. The major problem right now would be his attitude but, I have to resolve that myself. Also, Dan seems to have nice control over his soul weapon. I should also be going to get my soul weapon soon. I will go to that place after I reach Master rank, before that I should also probably use a normal weapon.'

Normal weapons could also be infused with mana but, it was the complete opposite of a soul weapon. While soul weapons provided one with easier control over mana and higher efficiency of spells, normal weapons reduced the efficiency and reuired master mana control.

As Lux had perfect mana control, mana control on normal weapons was not a big deal to him but his spells would obviously have lower efficiency.

The whole class became calm as in its usual state after Dan left. Alice, Gilbert and Killian apologized for not being able to protect Lux. Lux didn't say much on the matter and removed their worries by saying that no one could have helped and that they would have been injured themselves.

Later that day, after the classes had ended, Lux was heading towards his home.

"Umm, Lux."

"Yeah"

Lux turns around to see a girl from his class. The name of the girl was Crystal. A girl with whom Lux didn't talk much.

Crystal was a introverted type of girl. She was currently level 12 in the class and even though, she was in a higher level then most of the students, many didn't even notice her due to her introverted characteristics. She was also beautiful than most girls in Lux's class. If she remodeled her looks a little bit like removing her glasses, changing her hairstyle and putting some makeup than, she could even be compared against Alice who was considered a goddess of beauty in Lux's class.

He didn't know about her much even in his previous life. But, something about this girl made him feel uneasy.

"Do you have some time ? I would like to talk to you about something."

"Yea sure."

"Could you come with me to the park. Lets have a talk by the bench."
