18 Gilbert's Father

With the help of the Dragon Slayer powers, Lux got a huge boost in his cultivation. If his cultivation speed before he wielded this power was like a rocket, right now, he was jumping levels like a mad rabbit. He even caught up to the other group members who were all level 38 after just a week of cultivation.

Level 40 was a great barrier for beginner rank Mages that could not be crossed only relying on basic cultivation and fighting techniques. They required greater understanding of their soul realm and also more advanced cultivation devices for achieving a breakthrough.

The cost of one advanced cultivation device alone could handle the expense of low and middle class families for about a year. This was also the reason why there were almost no one from the low and middle class family that had Mages.

They could only ever cross through the intermediate rank if they trained for their whole life.

Alice had also helped Lux to sell the elite hell hound's mana crystal. As it was not a normal one, it was sold at a relatively high price. It was sold in the auction house at the highest bid of 15 Gold.

For a normal family, they could live their whole life in paradise with that sort of money. The monthly earning of a normal family was around 6 silver. While 1 gold coin was equivalent to a 100 silvers.

Even Lux was surprised when he saw the mana crystal being sold for such a high rate. He had expected it to sell for a maximum of 10 gold coins but it had far exceeded his expectations.

With this money, he could even be considered a wealthy tycoon as even the sons and daughters of those noble families didn't carry so much money with them. Also, he had enough money which could cure his parents in this life.

He also had studied a lot of medical Magic Science and could already be considered an expert, so he had plans to make a medicine which would cure them beforehand. Just, getting the ingredients for making that medicine was quite hard.

Lux had also skipped school ever since they came back from the dungeons. It had currently been a week since he had not attended his school as he was busy cultivating.

This had helped him to catch up with the other members of his group. But, as the minimum attendance was required for passing the academy, he went to the school today.

A lot had happened this whole week when he was away. But, the most shocking thing was still waiting for him in the academy. Right now, one person had arrived at the academy with a team of advanced rank Mages serving as his guards.

Even the board of directors of the academy had to treat this man with respect. This man was no other than the Vice Head of the Heterox Family and Gilbert's father.

He had personally come to the academy to deal with a certain matter.

As Gilbert was the wielder of the Phoenix flames of the Heterox family, he would always be assisted by guards and followed by servants everywhere except when he was in the academy and while he was sleeping.

As Gilbert had to join with the other members of Star Will at the nighttime, he had to leave the house silently in the night. But, after assessing the situation for a long time, the Vice Head of the family had got hold of this news.

When he investigated ahead on this matter, he got news of Gilbert training with Lux and the other members of Star Will.

If Lux was some great Master then, he wouldn't have bothered to stop Gilbert and would even have gone to spread goodwill with that Master but, as the one giving guidance to Gilbert was no one except an ant from the middle class family, he was furious.

That was the reason he had appeared in the academy today to deal with Lux. Lux, unaware of this matter, was going to the academy just like some normal other day.

The weather was clear and the sun was giving a nice vibe. Even the winds that were flowing around had cleared his mind. As he had not gone out during the daytime for almost a week, he felt relatively better with this surrounding.

Before long, he arrived at the academy. If it was anyone other than him who had not come to the academy for a week, it would already have become big news.

But, as this person was no other than Lux, they didn't even bother talking about him. Instead, they were all talking about something else. It had become a really big matter at the academy.

While going towards his classroom, Lux heard the gossips of these students by using his refined senses. But, even with that, he only got the basic information about the big news. He realized that currently Gilbert's father had visited the academy and he was inside the academy grounds right now.

Although he didn't know why The Vice Head had even bothered coming to the academy, he didn't mind it as it was not related to him. As long as it did not affect him, he would have no complaints about this topic.

The academy was really large so, even moving from one point to the other took a lot of time.

After walking for a while, Lux finally reached his classroom. The moment he entered, everyone's gaze fell upon him for a split second but, as it was just Lux, they all went to doing their own things.

He quickly spotted Killian who was currently sitting at the backwards of the classroom. Slowly, he approached Killian and sat next to him.

As he looked around, he could see Alice and Crystal talking to each other like they were childhood friends. Looking at this situation, Lux remembered the time when Alice had cried before him seeming all alone and lost.

But, looking at that same Alice right now, he couldn't help but smile as she had finally made a friend who she fully trusted. The pair of Alice and Crystal was really dazzling. Two great beauties sitting next to each other while talking and laughing. It was really a sight to behold.

"So, you finally decided to come to school huh ?" Killian asked Lux who was looking around in the classroom.

"Ah yes. Even if it's boring, I have to attend for the minimum required attendance." Lux sighed as he said this.

"Well too bad for you because Miss Garden is really looking forward to meeting you." Killian laughed as he remembered Miss Garden's words.

"Oh Crap. Is Miss Garden really that pissed ?" Lux asked as he gulped thinking about the rage of Miss Garden.

"Well yes. Why won't she be looking forward to meeting with the young genius ?" Killian laughed some more as he saw the state of Lux.

Lux became really frustrated from Killian who was teasing him in this state of crisis.

Although everything seemed to be fine, he didn't see Gilbert in the classroom. Also, he hadn't seen or heard anything about Dan ever since he was taken away by Miss Garden about a month ago.

He wanted to bring Dan to his group but, looking at the current situation, he couldn't really do that as Dan would be really back in terms of development. So, he had already pretty much gave up on the thought of recruiting him.

"Anyways, where is Gilbert ?" Lux asked Killian who was still laughing on him.

"Well, His father had arrived at the academy with him and right now, he should be with his father at the discussion council. Also, his father seemed really furious for some reason. Just looking at him gave me shivers down my spine." Killian answered remembering the sensation he felt when he saw the furious man.

"Furious Eh?" Killian mumbles to himself as Miss Garden enters the classroom.

Everyone stands up to greet their teacher but, looking at the fatigued condition of Miss Garden, everyone was surprised.

She had entered the classroom in a really fatigued state. It was as if she had to fight a really huge battle which drained all her strength. Quickly after she entered, she started looking around the classroom.

Slowly, her analyzing eyes stopped at Lux who was the back of the classroom with Gilbert.

Lux found the eyes of his teacher falling on him. At this moment, he felt a cold sweat break down as he thought of facing the fury of Miss Garden.

"Lux you come with me. I have some things we need to discuss. Everyone else quiet down and start studying the Basics of Mana Infusion chapter." Miss Garden says in a really chilling tone.

At this stage, Lux didn't even expect anything else. Slowly, he stood up and followed Miss Garden as she went outside the door.

Lux quietly followed Miss Garden as she walked before him. She didn't even make a sound as much as to speak a word as she quietly walked towards the Teacher's room.

Lux expected for them to enter the teacher's room, where he will get scolded by Miss Garden for a while and will be left free but, to his surprise even after they crossed the teacher's room, Miss Garden didn't stop walking.

"Miss Garden I think we already missed the place where you intended to take me." Lux said thinking that his teacher missed the way to their designated location.

"No. We are going towards the right place. I am not taking you somewhere to scold you for not attending school for this past week. For now, it should be the least of your concerns." Miss Garden replied.

Even though Lux couldn't understand what other work he did wrong to even make skipping a week seem like nothing, he quietly followed Miss Garden in hopes to see the situation. After a while of walking, they arrived at the discussion council.

The council was a really large room where discussions regarding the school matters took place. It was similar to a court with the board of directors being the people present all around the place and the main judge being the principal.

This was the place where decisions regarding the school took place and also where the conflicts between the academy's students were resolved.

When Lux entered the room, he was greeted by the stares of everyone present there. At the other end of the room, the principal sat down on his chair like a king sat on his throne.

Beside him, Gilbert and his father were also sitting down. When he looked at Gilbert's father, Lux could see his eyes filled with enough rage to completely vaporize the whole room.

There were also some other people who were not from the board of directors sitting beside the principal.

A look at these people could say that they were not ordinary people; all the 6 people present beside the principal were Master rank Mages. While, Gilbert's father and one other person were even at the peak of that rank.

But, even these could not even compare to the existence of whom the Principal was. The principal was none other than one of the Legend rank Mages of their nation.

Lux could even feel some pressure that this man at his throne radiated. It felt as if the principal wanted then, he could finish off anyone inside of his zone without even as much as batting an eye.

Any person who stood at the place of Lux would already be screaming at the look of all these people. But, Lux was not an ordinary character himself, so he stood there confident and cozy like a dragon who was in its own domain.

"So, as everyone is here let's start with the discussion." The Principal said as he revealed a short smile after seeing Lux.
