19 CHAPTER 19: VISITING THE MOUNTAINS AGAIN
Time flew by quickly, she managed to get her boutique registered and the renovation began. She had refused to let them carry the costs of her first business but insisted on using her own money.
She had decided to open the boutique when she returns back from the mountains. So in the two weeks before the term break, she was busy interviewing candidates to work in her boutique. She needed professionals and not some workers that will act like those that chased her out of the jewelry store.
During that time, she had found four ladies that were to her liking, one would work as the manager while the other will do the other work. Her boutique will be selling only the clothes that she buys from the clothing store of her system mall.
She also took the gang under her wings as they could help her in other things she had no time for. The first thing she did after taking them under her wings was to make sure that they train properly, so she gave them the detoxification pill each and gave them a training program to make them useful and worthy.
Finally, the term break arrived and it was time for her to check how effective the upgraded treasure map was and the jade eyes she had obtained after consuming that precious pill.
Krystal prepared her gear for the trip and bought a number of baskets in advance for her trip to the mountains. This time she was going to visit a bigger mountain that was a bit near Frey to save herself some time.
Krystal left Dielas at night the day when they left school for their vacation. She wanted to have as much time as she can so that she can visit a number of places or just dig up everything that she comes across.
She took a flight to Frey first and slept in a hotel. The next day she took a bus to her destination. When she arrived it was still after three hours and she was still energetic. Being surrounded by nature and a lot of life energy was just great for her cultivation.
Krystal trekked into the mountain and began hunting. With the help of the map she was able to hike in that direction and when she arrived at the place, she used her jade eyes to scan and look for what she wanted.
Seeing how effective it was, she began to dig and dig. This continued for three straight days and just like that she had rummaged through the whole mountain. This time she was faster because she had the jade eyes helping her.
She returned back to Frey and had a great sleep first. The next day she met with the old man she sold herbs to the last time. She had called him the previous night and he was willing to buy herbs from her.
Because the herbs were a bit much she decided to sell only a third to him and sell the rest in Valletta when she visits the capital.
“It’s good to see you again,” the old man said with a smile.
“I am glad to see you again. You can check the herbs.”
Krystal brought the man to the truck which had the herbs that she had brought for him. After he was done checking them, he transferred ten million to her account. Satisfied with the transaction, she promised to bring him more once she gets them.
The old man was called grandpa Mills back when she was called M, she would call him old Mills but now she couldn’t have that relationship with him anymore.
After a successful transaction Krystal took her leave once more leaving the old man with complicated feelings.
“Does she still looks like M to you?”
“She doesn’t at all, it was just my wishful thinking. I just hope that the young girl is now resting in peace,” grandpa Mills sighed with regret as he thought of that unfortunate young woman.
To think that after giving everything to her gang, they had guts to kill her with poison, she felt every disappointed with them that he refused to have any more transaction with them. He only dealt with them simply because he lost a bet to M and since she was no longer alive and killed by the shameless wolves, he was better off without them.
Krystal left Frey that same day and took a flight to Valletta. There was a big traditional medicine market there and she could sell at great prices too. And she also wanted to make some connections as a person who was going to make a base in the capital.
She checked into a hotel when she arrived and took some rest. After dinner she began to scroll through the internet looking up the information that she wanted. After getting what she wanted, she retired to bed.
The next day she was energetic, she rented a storage first and went to the market. After strolling around she finally found someone who looked trustworthy. She showed the samples of her herbs and had a great talk with the other person.
This man was named Jacob, roughly in his fifties and he owned a clinic that dealt with traditional medicine. When he saw her samples, the man was very ecstatic. After talking prices with him, she found out that his prices were better that grandpa Mills which made her feel at ease.
Since the man was trustworthy and even if he was a bad man, she could still deal with him by herself. She was already a master despite her age.
She took the man back to the storage where she quickly took out the herbs subconsciously and put them into the empty storage. So by the time she opened the storage, the herbs were already emitting that fresh fragrance enticing the old man that had followed her.
She received a total of twenty-five million straight to her bank account and she let the man take all the herbs she had spent her time digging up. The two exchanged contact details and she promised to sell him herbs if she had any in the future.
After sending off the happy man, Krystal decided to get down to business. She visited a number of real estate’s she got a number of brochures with the kind of buildings that she wanted to use for her company.
She went through them one by one but she wasn’t convinced at all. So she decided to check the auction sites, she could get something worthwhile there. In her previous life she had bought a number of building through auctions and there were good.
She visited three auction sites and chanced upon one eight story building that was involved in a fire. Its starting bid was actually low at the moment and as long as she bid a bit higher then she will be able to have her dream building.
Krystal passed the registration stage and received her I.D. the auction was going to end in twelve hours and she only had to make sure that she comes out on the top. Krystal had around E$500 million to spend so money was not an issue. She simply bid the building for 50m and waited for the results.
This battle kept on going which drove her crazy and at the last moments, she had made another bid for 180m which closed the auction. Seeing that she had won the bid, she danced around in her suite.
She was going to the office to finish the procedure and had the building delivered to her after signing off the necessary documents. She finally took a rest and slept.
Later that day she made a visit to the management office, she was directed to the boss she followed confidently. When the other woman saw her, she looked shocked but quickly recovered.
“It’s a pleasure seeing you here in person,” the woman said with a smile.
“It’s good seeing another woman being successful in a world where men rule,” she couldn’t help but sigh when she thought about the issue.
“Indeed it is.”
After a small talk, Krystal signed all the related documents to have the building transferred to her name. After a short talk with the woman, she could tell that she was a hard worker and if given a chance she could go higher. So Krystal decided to gamble.
“I was wondering if I could ask you out for dinner.”
“Oughohh,” the woman coughed as soon Krystal said those words out loud.
“I am not into women, I just wanted to talk business with you that’s all,” she corrected the misunderstanding and saw her softening.
“Ohha-ha, sorry about that; I would love to have dinner with you.”
“That’s great then.”
Krystal gave the other woman her hotel name and the time when they should meet for dinner.
After getting the documents notarized, Krystal returned back to her hotel. She washed up and went back to sleep. She didn’t sleep much at night so she felt of making up for it.
Later that night the woman from before joined her for dinner and she was called Paula. She was a single woman with one child, seeing such a dedicated person how can she not be touched?
