14 CHAPTER 14: THE FIRST MEETING

After that heartwarming dinner on Friday, Krystal managed to escape from Flora before returning back to her villa.

She spent the Saturday at her place and stuck in the virtual space studying her books and doing as many questions as she can. She would take a break and cultivate her skills she had taken from the pagoda that other day.

Ever since she had begun her cultivation, she had felt the great improvement in her that she had leveled up so greatly. She was sure that she will be reaching a bottleneck very soon. Since she was not in a hurry to level up her system that required 50 crystals, she was going to learn a number of skills first before moving forward.

Just like that the day was well spend with reading and cultivating. That night she ate the food that Aunt Grace had prepared for her in the morning before she went back to her house.

She took an evening run first before returning back to the villa where she got cleaned up and decided to take a walk and maybe visit the cinema to watch a movie.

She took a taxi to the mall and headed straight to the cinema hall. She chose slowly the movie that she wanted to watch and ended up with a romantic one. After paying for her ticket, she bought some soda and popcorn before heading into the theatre hall.

She felt lonely as she watched those couples giggling and embracing each other as they watched the movie. She needed to find someone to play around with. It has been too long since she was involved with a man. This body of hers was now a virgin and it was devastating to find someone to get rid of it.

After watching such a lovely movie, she felt touched and her heart felt very warm. It was a good thing for her to come and watch this movie. After the movie, she took a walk and bought herself a cup of coffee.

As she looked at the beautiful sky while sipping her hot coffee, she received a call from Flora. She listened to Flora who was speaking non-stop on the other side very excitedly. She wanted her to go with her shopping the next day and since she didn’t have anything to do the next day; she decided to take a rest. She was already covered in her studies and it was good for her to rest as well.

She agreed to her request before ending the phone call. Krystal returned back to her villa and retired to bed.

The next day she woke up energetic and since Aunt Grace will not be coming for the day, she decided to have breakfast outside with Flora who was coming to pick her up later that morning.

Flora changed into something casual and ate some fruits while she waited for Flora’s call. She called ten minutes that she will be arriving so Krystal locked her villa and walked to the gate entrance.

She greeted the guards warmly and waited for Flora to arrive. When the car stopped in front of her, she climbed into the car and gave the other girl a warm hug. On the way Flora was a chatterbox and she listened to everything she said with interest.

She was never raised in a rich family so she never understood the difficulties those rich kids’ faces. Even though she took over Krystal’s body, she had never even met the former’s family or suffered any hardship.

Her experiences were of those that she had when she was M which was in her previous life and not this one.

Flora practically dragged her everywhere, she watched as she continuously pick clothes, shoes and bags. The other girl didn’t mind the prices, the pecks of being rich. Since Flora was buying, she decided to buy some too.

Two hours passed and the two girls were now holding a number of bags which had the things that they had bought. They went to a restaurant inside the mall and the two bought some breakfast combo.

When they were eating Flora was busy sulking, complaining about how this food couldn’t be compared to the one that she was always having. She found it very funny and simply pacified her. The two finished their meal and left for more shopping.

After dropping the bags at the car, they resumed shopping. Flora had dragged her into a jewelry store and she was busy looking at the pieces with interest. In her head, Krystal was busy calculating the money she could have after selling her diamonds and the money she could earn if she were to come across those rare ores in the future.

She was in a very good mood that all she could see was money in her eyes. However, her mood was spoiled when she heard someone calling her name with disgust. It has been long since someone was so daring to do that to her. At school when she made that bet with Mrs. Jones, no one had been bothering her directly and this gave her some peace of mind but now someone was calling her with that tone.

Krystal lifted her head from those sparkling pieces she was looking at and looked towards the direction where the call came from. She was astonished, shocked and all kinds of crazy emotions ran through her as she watched the person who was looking at her as if she owed her a life.

The young overdressed kid she was looking at was her younger sister Emerald Reid, the daughter of Krystal’s mother and father. She was supposed to be an elder sister who had two younger siblings but thanks to this crazy family that abandoned her, she was treated as trash and a burden.

The last time that Krystal saw Emerald was when this younger sister of hers was busy calling her names and throwing her out of the house as if she didn’t belong there.

She felt that this was actually great, she could vent some anger to make the former’s soul rest in peace.

“You can’t be here trying to steal right?” Emerald raised the question in a loud tone, drawing attention from the people that were in the store.

She couldn’t help but sneer at this foolish idiot but this could work out in her favor.

“Is someone like me not allowed to enter stores like these?” she asked the question directly at Emerald.

“I remember that when you were thrown out of the house and disowned after disgracing the family you have nothing on you but I can see that you are glowing which makes me wonder how exactly you managed to survive to this day?”

“Let’s just say that I got lucky and had my prayers answered,” Krystal answered lazily.

From the corner of her eyes she saw a fuming Flora but with just a look she stopped. Krystal wanted to solve this problem alone, she didn’t want to involve Flora in this. She knew how cunning this younger sister of hers was.

“Umm, someone like you who only knows how to chase after men that didn’t want you is a disgrace. Which sugar daddy are you pursuing now?”

“A very rich one. You should try it too,” Krystal spoke as she looked back at the jewelry pieces that had taken her interest.

This response of hers made those women in the store to start gossiping about her. They were even calling her names and she wasn’t even affected by it at all.

“People like her, should be thrown out of the store before you find your things missing. I know her very well,” Emerald spoke with a cunning smile enticing the ladies to go crazy.

They all agreed with Emerald and the next thing that happened was that she was approached by the manager who asked her in a not so kindly manner to leave the store. She was even at a disadvantage because all this while she had been staring at the jewelry pieces without doing anything.

To think that people has this kind of attitude towards customers, made her feel sick. She was even planning on buying a few pieces for Annie as a present but now she was glad that she didn’t take anything.

Seeing that Emerald had succeeded in making these people turn against her, she turned around and looked at Flora with a smile.

“I guess I don’t need to continue being in here since I may end up stealing these precious jewels. Flora when you are done with your shopping, come and join me. I will be in the next shop,” Krystal said and left the store.

She would have made things difficult for everyone but what she enjoyed was to make people regret what they did. Even if she were to fight a battle of words with Emerald, she will never win.

She ignored the stares that those people gave her and she wasn’t surprised when she heard Flora causing a scene back in the store.

“This is the first time that I Flora Holmes had been embarrassed in such a large crowd. To think that a mere manager has the guts to chase away my friend and guest, you surely are seeking the end!”

They couldn’t do anything at all as they all registered the name that Flora had said out loud. By the time the manager and the sales lady realized what was happening, Flora had already caught up with Krystal.

“I am really sorry, if I hadn’t asked you out this will not have happened,” Flora apologized and she found it very funny.

“It’s okay, one way or the other we were still going to meet. Are you not going to buy your mother a present?”

“I am, let’s check the next store then.”

The two visited the next store and Flora finally bought some bangles which she finds very attractive for her mother. The disturbance earlier had attracted a lot of onlookers so as she walked, people pointed at her, so as a way to show how grateful she really was. She looked at Emerald who was sneering at her from a distance celebrating how she had won once again.

With a single shot, Krystal shot Emerald with some Qi and smiled at her. She was going to make this arrogant kid suffer something so bashful and embarrassing that she will regret leaving home.

“If I were you, I will rush back home because it is going to get interesting,” Krystal spoke a bit loud while looking at this younger sister of hers before leaving the mall.

Surely as she left Emerald had thrown a number of insults and made sure that Krystal was imprinted as a bad person in other people’s eyes. What she never expected was for her stomach to start grumbling. She knew that it was bad, the only thing she could think of was to find the lavatory and once she did it was very difficult to leave.

She had to call home to get someone to get her and over and over again she cursed Krystal. She even accused Krystal for making her feel sick which incited more hatred from the family and this made Emerald very happy.

She was going to make sure that Krystal pays for the humiliation that she went through that day. Thinking of the words she spoke to her before she fell sick, made her feel a bit scared of her but there was no way that Krystal was capable of that. She had always been a loser, someone whom she will always step on every time they meet. She was the one that was meant for greatness, she was the only daughter of the Reid and not some Krystal who was dumped from childhood.
