11 CHAPTER 11: SYSTEM LEVEL UP

Krystal was ecstatic because she had finally managed to collect the crystals needed to level up her mall to 2. It didn’t seem to be much for those that may hear it but for her it was a great deal. That was twenty million Edji dollars and it was a huge amount that someone of her age will not be able to gather in just a few weeks.

She looked at her rewards first with a bright smile, the treasure map had really leveled up and it was showing more tempting things that was urging her to leave Dielas once more. But she understood that being greedy will lead her to nowhere. The map was hers and as long as she wants those treasures, she could get them as long as no one gets to them first.

She left the mission hall and went to the treasury hall where the system interface was. She read through the guidelines once more. Because she now possess the requirements necessary to upgrade the mall, she only had to click the upgrade button and the process began.

It didn’t take a minute before she witnessed the changes around her. The treasury hall had split into two, separating the banking system as its own side hall. Inside the bank she found out that a new service had been added and she desperately needed this service.

She could get a bank card from the virtual bank that she could use outside, this could solve all the problems of having a lot of money with no source of income since she could easily do this, she decided that she will be selling those diamonds but with no urgency.

After checking the treasury hall, she left for the other stores. She visited the pagoda first which didn’t have anything when the mall leveled to 1 back then. When she took a short stroll on first floor of the pagoda, she smiled. There were a number of books there, they all looked old but she knew that they were filled with knowledge.

She was not an ignorant person, she had always known that in the world there exists very powerful people who were on par with immortals. Back then when she was living as M, she nearly became a martial artist disciple but something happened that caused that to fall through. She was poisoned and that damaged her greatly making her unable to cultivate further.

It had been her greatest wish to cultivate herself further so that no one will look down on her. She wanted to be stronger so that she can openly meet her brother but she wasn’t strong enough, seeing how a mere jelly ended her life.

After reading the information related to the pagoda, she realized that the first floor contained all the basic knowledge she needed to know about cultivation. This floor will be helpful to her if she wanted to be in the Qi Refinement stage. This was a stage where she will be able to feel, sense and circulate the life energy that is known to exist in every living thing that exists.

Seeing this, how can she not show any happiness? As long as she practices this starting now even though she was already old by the practicing standards, she will be a level higher than those ordinary martial artists but above all she will be higher than her previous life and this was already good for her.

She had an advantage of a place like this mall so she was not going to follow the normal path like those that weren’t as fortunate like her. The same rules applies and she had to pick two books for free. This was so important so she took her time, looking through the books in order to find a path that was suitable for her.

The first book that she picked was named immortal mortal, she just loved how they named the book. The book contained the most basic foundation on qi refinement. As long as she understands it then she will reach a higher level.

The second book that she picked was a cultivation book on stealth, it was more suitable for assassins and she needed it even though she was not planning on assassinating anyone in this life again.

She felt that she needed the skills since she will be partaking on more missions in the future. She had seen some places that held her treasures and they were places she couldn’t risk being seen. Even if she were to use a breath concealing pill, it will still lose its effects.

Holding the books closely to her bosom, Krystal left the pagoda with a smile. The next store she chose was the pharmacy. A number of new pills had popped up which was good for her. Apart from the other pills that were already on the shelves, two more pills had been added. There was the essence gathering pills which will aid her in her journey of cultivation and beauty retaining pills that were helpful to every female.

She wanted to purchase some of those beauty pills, she was not satisfied with her average looks at all but it wasn’t time for her to rush things. She still needed to use her crystals wisely since she only had ten at the moment.

She went to the supermarket next and more food products had been added to the shelves, this time she could buy food in large quantities than before and there was also a variety.

When the mall was at level 1 she could only purchase the basic products like rice, oil, salt but now they have added other food products like spaghetti, popcorn, sugar, juices and more variety of fruits and vegetables too.

This was enough for her since she could afford to buy the goods and if she didn’t have any crystals to buy with she could still buy from outside.

The bookstore has also added some more books which were business related. It looked like this system of hers wanted her to go in that way and she didn’t find anything wrong with it. The bookstore still owed her a free book and since her treasure map had upgraded she was tempted enough to pick a book related to mineral ores. As someone who had stayed in the mountain for three days, she understood what kind of treasures can be found there.

She might get lucky one day and pick a rare ore and sell it via the treasury hall or find those masters interested in it. After her loot in the bookstore she checked the clothing department, the music store and last but not least the ranch. There were a number of livestock in the ranch and she could buy them for consumption. The ranch only had some chickens, ducks and quails. That was better than having none like last time.

Satisfied with this result, Krystal decided to leave the mall but as she was about to leave she noticed that the virtual kitchen was open. She took large strides towards it and went inside.

The place was equipped with high level kitchen utensils even though there was not too much of it. The place had a long table that could be used during cooking, a number of kitchen knives, a four plate stove, a refrigerator and the other kitchen utensils.

She also read the kitchen guideline and from it she gained a bit of knowledge. In this virtual kitchen, she could learn and harness her cooking techniques. Some missions may be issued that could help her to become a great cook. As someone who had noticed her love for food after being reincarnated, she knew how important this was to her.

The craziest thing that she read was the fact that this skill will be of utter importance when it comes to fawning over her husbands’ relatives.

Ha haha even this system wants to see me having a harem. I guess that can still be done right. Krystal was busy speaking to herself inwardly after she read that.

As someone who has always thought of this crazy idea, found it very pleasing to the eye. Since this skill could help her steal the man’s heart then she was going to reluctantly study it but now was not the time, she was in no mood to cook.

When she was done exploring the mall, Krystal decided to leave for real this time.

She returned back to her room and went to sleep. She still had school to go to.
