1 Prologue

welcome everyone to my first novel on Webnovel. So I'll be honest and upfront with you all so please be patient with me. I haven't written anything story-wise in a long time like probably since high school and that was 5 years ago. But anyway feel free to give constructive criticism on my efforts. I'd much appreciate it, and without further ado. *queue loud theme music* Welcome to Reincarnation Odyssey!

'Where the hell am I?' was the first thought that ran through Akira's mind as he stared up at a unfamiliar wooden plank covered roof with beams crisscrossing overhead.   He moved to get up noting the coarse woolen blanket that covered him. Just as he got on his feet he staggered as he felt a sharp pain akin to a stabbing migraine. His senses were lost as an entire lifetime of memories poured into his head. As his vision blurred the last thing he heard was was a female voice calling his name before his head hit the floorboards with a resounding thud!

Black space was all around Akira for but a moment, and then a kaleidoscope-like slideshow started of memories that he recognized as his own life in fast forward. Memories of his parents, his girlfriend of 5 years, and his school life sped past as it went through the entirety of his life in moments. It only slowed down as it reached his final year of high school or better named the year of his death.

He'd just gotten a scholarship to his school of choice and he was ecstatic as he pulled out of his school parking lot only for a Semitruck to come barreling into the driver side of his car at 65 mph. He died on impact and just when Akira thought the slide show of his life was over It began anew.

As it showed a boy dressed in linen cloths reminiscent of colonial or medieval style clothing. It followed the boy who grew up on his uncle's farm learning to grow crops and how to take care of livestock. The boy never knew his mother and father nor did he feel the need to ask as his uncle always got a faraway look in his eyes when ever he brought it up. The boy's name was also Akira and he lived on his uncle's farm for 17 years with no incident. He occasionally went into the small town they lived on the edge of to sell his crops and would learn a thing or two about how to wield both bow and sword from the town guards who would man the walls in case of monster attack. the slideshow came to a stop as the broad shouldered youth layed down to sleep the night before his 18th birthday.

Akira soon felt something click inside his own mind as if his two lives finally settled into place and he was at peace drifting off into peaceful sleep.
