5 Unexpected Visitor

Aiden woke up on his new bed. After he had talked with the Ruling Council, every single one of the older members vacated their spots in the Council, and Irelia and Karma even offered completely disbanding it. He didn't want that to happen, as he couldn't and wouldn't rule alone. He instead said to wait for a few days. Once every person he had called for was present, they would elect a new Council.

-*groan* It feels good *yawn* to sleep so comfortably- said the raven-haired as he got up from the bed and put his clothes on. Going to a bathroom-ish room besides his own bedroom, he washed his face and did a couple gargles with a liquid all Ionians used. Surprisingly for him, it tasted somewhat like mint.

Once he arrived at his kitched and living room, he realized he was not alone. From one of the shadows of his house, The Rogue Assassin walked towards him.

-It was you who called me, right? Light of Ionia- asked the masked girl who stood a head shorter than Aiden -Why call me and in such a discreet manner?-

Aiden just smiled and ignored her questions. He decided to tease the rash girl for a bit, so he began preparing his breakfast. The meat he had was of unkown origin and, for now, he didn't really want to know. Lest it was porcupine or something like that. He also grabbed a few vegetables that looked like lettuce and onions. He decided to go for something he really loved in his previous life, both because of how healthy and how delicious it was. Ssam. A Korean dish composed of... anything wraped in lettuce.

Cutting a part of the meat he cut it into smaller, cubic pieces and put them on a pan to let them simmer. While that happened, he washed the lettuce leaf by leaf, making it as slow as possible. Akali, who felt strangely offended at being ignored, something she would've relished on any other circumstance, couldn't keep herself together -Stop ignoring me now! I made you a question!-

Aiden just looked at her, smiled warmly, and kept doing his thing. She continued to pester him for about five minutes, until she grew tired and simply sat in a chair besides his dinner table. After a few more minutes, Aiden finally finished cooking. He went as far as making a simple sauce composed, mainly, of spices that smelled like oregano, ground chili, ground garlic and parsley. The mix was one with a little bit of a vinegard tasting liquid and oil. Something like an Argentinian "chimichurri", which he reckonned went very well with many asian dishes.

Once he sat by the table with his breakfast, Akali noticed that it looked like the food was too much for one person. The moment she looked up, she realized why. Aiden had a piece of lettuce with meat and sauce wraped in it, presenting it to her so she would eat. Having arrived here early she hadn't had the time to eat anything, so she couldn't deny her hunger and, taking her mask off, she ate directly from his hand. A very small, almost unnoticeable, blush covered her cheeks.

Aiden was surprised at how beautiful she actually was. He had seen her without her mask in a few skins, but he didn't know if that was what she looked like now that this was real life. Then again, every girl he had seen in the game was beautiful. Excep Illaoi. She looked... angry.

-I did call you, but not only you- said Aiden, finaly giving her the answer she had been waiting for -Ionia is electing a new Ruling Council, so I called the most important figures in the last few years-

Akali just looked at him firmly and, after what Aiden felt like hours, she smiled

-I see, I thought you needed me for something in particular, but it just happens that I am involved with this whole matter- she said with more tranquility in her voice. He thought she would've been more against it, or that she would've questioned his take on things, perhaps fearing that he would be too much of a pacifist, like Shen.

Then he remembered the massacre he had protagonized during the last Noxian invation attempt, and couldn't help but chuckle a bit. Of course she would be happier. After all, someone who had the guts to do what had to be done was finally taking charge of things. No more doubting, no more forgiving. Aiden decided to strike a conversation with the girl, as she seemed to be a nice person to keep close to oneself. At least, that was the case once you earned her trust.

Thinking about trust, Aiden frowned a little bit. He hadn't really had time to think about it but, how was he earning everyone's trust so easily? Why was everyone so in favor of him? He decided to ask the expert in these things, Karma, later on during the day.

Akali, in her mind, was totally over the moon. Aiden had been telling her tales of lands far from Ionia. Tales of ancient gods who gave their powers to mortals and beings who could topple mountains if they so wished to. He even told her about the ancient Shuriman Ascended and teh Darkin War.

Aiden had realized quite a while ago that Karma had entered his house at some point. She was there to inform him that some of the people whom he had called for had arrived, and ask for orders on how to welcome them, yet she hadn't spoken a single word. The woman who, for your information, was the oldest in the room, had a face that looked like that of a young child when their mother took them to the market for the first time.

His display of knowledge had amazed both women, which caused him to chuckle when they seemed to want to hear more of the tales of Runeterra.

-Well, I know you want to keep talking, but we have an uninvited guest- said Aiden while he looked at the door, waiting for his visitor to knock. Just a couple minutes later, they heard the door. Aiden went to open and greet someone he hadn't expected to meet so soon. With a friendly smile on his face, Aiden greeted his visitor -How can I help you, Ezreal?-

-Seeing how you know me, you should know why I am here- said cheekily the blonde youngster. Ezreal, The Prodigal Explorer. A tomb-raider and explorer mixed with an archaeologist who is making a name for himself while he is searching his parents who went missing during one of their explorations. While waiting for Aiden to answer, the blonde looked inside his house and spotted Akali and Karma, who he recognized as two beauties and nothing else. Deciding that it was a good option, he winked at them, which earned him a chop in the head from Aiden.

-No flirting with them- the Light of Ionia said, while looking at Ezreal with a deadpan stare. Chuckling when he saw the blonde holding his head where he had hit him, he decided to investigate what the blonde was searching for in Ionia -I know what you do, and I want to know what brought you here, asking for permission-

The blonde looked at him, this time seriously -I know how much Ionian people value their past and their customs, so I wouldn't want to anger anyone because I lacked respect for their culture-

He might be called plunderer by some, but Ezreal was well educated as a kid, after all. Aiden just smiled when he heard the answer. Ezreal was less of a prick than he thought he was. With a gesture from his hand, Aiden invited the blond into his house.

As there was still some Ssam left, he gave some to Karma in the same way he did Akali, which earned him a jealous harrumph from the assassin. Ezreal, seeing how he had been invited to eat with them, simply joined in unceremoniously. Aiden felt like he was eating with friend and family, for some weird reason. Was it the blood of a King, that made him see everyone else as par of his kingdom, his family?

He didn't know, but one thing was for sure. Wherever the explorer went, trouble would come. That was of course, if trouble wasn't already there.
