14 To the sea and first fight

Next day, afternoon, he went to the port with Garp and his father. He had a sword with black scabbard and black hilt. He saw a medium sized Marine Ship which was Garp's ship. He said good bye to his father and stepped on the ship. After coming on the deck of the ship looking at the sea, he felt excited about starting his journey.

He checked his stats:

He developed Soru, Armament Haki and Observation Haki to Novice level.

Now what he needed was to have a real life fight.

Alden told Garp that he wants to sail to the east side to Alpanac island while looking in the map. He said that he has gut feeling that he can find something or some clue regarding there regarding his goal.

Garp didn't think much as it was Alden's journey and he was going to decide where to go as long as he doesn't go to grand line as he was not ready yet.

So like this their journey started.

On the ship he worked on his Haki's and sword arts. He didn't work on soru, so as not to harm the ship.

When he used Sword of Kusanagi for practicing his sword arts, Garp was again surprised about how he got that sword and he never saw that kind of sword before. He could feel that it can at least be compared to one of the O wazamono and may even be compared with Saijo O wazamono grade sword.

When Garp asked him about it. Alden told him that, he found it in the forest behind the house embedded in stone. Garp could see that he was not telling the truth, but he did not pry further as Alden didn't want to tell him about the sword's origin.

He kept doing his training for 3 days when they encountered a pirate ship. He didn't recognize the pirate flag. So he thought that they were some unknown small pirates.

While he was thinking, suddenly pirates attacked using cannons on their ship. Garp was going to attack to destroy the ship but Alden stopped him and told him that he wants to fight these pirates.

Suddenly a cannon ball came towards them and without any hesitation Alden jumped and cut the cannon ball in two and it was blasted in the air before reaching the ship. Seeing this Garp took him to the pirate ship and Alden started attacking the pirates with his sword.

But when he killed first pirate, he didn't feel good when hew saw decapitated head of the pirate. So he retreated to calm down. Garp saw this and said : "I told you, this sea is cruel and you have to get used to killing otherwise you are the one who will be killed. "

After few moment Alden calmed down, he found that these pirates are very weak and he can kill them easily. Though it took him some time to adjust from killing people but with strong soul he could overcome the fear of taking human life.

He went on killing spree until he met the captain of the ship. The captain was also a swordsman and when they started fighting, Alden found that the person fighting him was also at novice level of sword mastery.

When they were fighting, other pirates tried to intervene, but Garp stopped them and subdued them before they could do anything.

While fighting with pirate captain, he found that compared to his opponent he was lacking in strength but little faster in speed. And while crossing swords, he also found many mistakes in his sword arts and and after some time fighting and resolving error in his use of sword art, suddenly he felt that he is feeling very easy to move around with sword while using his sword art. Then he found an opening, he dodged opponent's sword and pierced his heart.

And thus he finished his first real fight.
