25 System upgrade

" As host's spirit attribute reached 600, his soul has enough strength to hold updated system. It will take 18 hours for system to upgrade and while it upgrades host will be in coma. Would you like to upgrade the system?"

Alden didn't know anything about system upgrade as system never mentioned it before. He asked system about the advantages of the upgrade.

System:

" It will open the system storage inventory. It couldn't keep the item in the inventory for a long time earlier because your soul was not strong enough. And system had to use part of its own storage space for it. But system cannot keep them for a long time as it will become part of the system if any item kept there for a long time.

There will be another option of library. Using this option, host just need to search for a term about which he needs to know and system will show everything related to it in host's memory. Host does not need to search all of his memory every time. This option should have opened when host was 8 years old. But due to host's soul was not strong enough, if this function was to be activated host needed to be in coma for at least a month and which was not recommended at that time.

It will also open observe. Using this option you can also look at the attributes of others. But you will only be able to see their attributes if the target has lower observation haki than yours and when you use observe on anyone they will think that you are using your observation haki to check them.

After hearing system's explanation, he finally knew why he could only keep the devil fruit in the inventory for a week.

He thought that it will be better if he upgrade it after training in the evening. So he rejected it that time.

So after finishing the training for the day, he went to Z and told him that he wants to take rest for the next day's morning session. Z also thought that it had been long time before he took rest. So he told him to take a day off the next day.

So he went to room and told system to start upgrade. He felt little dizzy and lost his consciousness.

So he went outside and used his observe on inn manager:

Intelligence: 53

Spirit: 20"

He could only see their attributes, nothing else. So with this he could only judge their strengths roughly.

He went to restaurant to have his lunch and found Z sitting there. He greeted him. He had an idea about using observe on Z, but it won't look good if he did without permission.

So he said to Z: " Master, I thought about a method to gauge someone's strength using Observation Haki and I could feel approximate strengths of people in inn. But I want to test it on you as you are strong and I want to check if it works."

Z looked at him with interest and gave him permission to test his ability on him.

When he checked it:

" Target's Observation Haki is at higher level than host, therefore it is not possible for host to see his attributes. "

He said: " Master, may be I am not able to use this ability on people stringer than myself."

Z told him: " Ohh, so you learn to check your opponent using Observation Haki. It does not related to opponents strength but his level of observation haki. If he has higher level of observation haki than yours then you won't be able to check out his strength. And there are people who can hide their strength by some means. So this method can only show what they want to show you."

System: " System's Observe is different. The second case doesn't affect system's observe option."

Alden was happy after hearing this.

Afterwards he had lunch and went out for a walk. He used observe on many people, but he didn't find anyone who could block it.

He then tried his inventory, by putting his sword in. He just needed to think about inventory and touch the sword to put it in his inventory.

He also used library function. He searched for many things. When he searched for sword arts, he found all sword arts were shown by their names in his mind. Then he just had to think about any of them and he can get the information about them.

He found few sword techniques in the library. He remembered that Z told him that he will teach Alden sword techniques after reaching Sword teacher level. But they will also be low level only. He need to be at least sword master level to learn better techniques.

After trying out new options, he went back to inn and started working on his observation Haki and Armament Haki.

Next morning when he woke up, he heard system's voice.
