When Alden was basking in happiness of his quest completion, on a remote island there was a bloody war going on between marines and pirates. There were sounds of guns firing and metals hitting each other. There were also voices of screaming in pain. There was blood everywhere.

After few days, Alden got the message that his parents were returning today. He was very excited and went to the port and waited for them.

After sometime, he saw the marine ship coming towards the port. He knew that it was his father's ship. He was happy when he saw his father's face, but the happiness went to dust when he saw that his father lost one arm and anger burst in him when he saw his mother on stretcher, looked like at her last breath.

Flashback 1 year ago:

Bill and Rita left wit their crew and reached Marineford in few days. When they reached there, they found that the mission they were going was annihilation of a big pirate crew "Black Skull Pirates" . They had a crew of around 1000 pirates. Their captain's worth was 350 million berry. And many of them had bounty of more than 200 million belly.

The marines that were going on this mission were headed by Vice Admiral. There were 5 Rear Admirals and many captains. There were more than 1500 marines taking part in the mission.

The marine fleet left for this mission after fully preparing themselves. They didn't meet any issue in their journey.

But when they reached there they saw, not one but two pirate crews. Another pirate crew was "Blue steel pirates" and it also had similar strength as "Black Skull Pirates". It would have been better to call for reinforcement and wait for them and then attack pirates. And stay hidden till then. But the Vice Admiral was very arrogant and didn't listen to advise of anyone and ordered to attack the pirates and take them by surprise. It worked in the beginning and pirates were taken by surprise. But after initial shock pirates regrouped themselves and followed with counter attack.

Fight went on, many lives were lost. there were around 300 marines were left and around 500 pirates were left. It was very dangerous situation for marines.

Suddenly, a tall, tanned, broad-chested, muscular man who had a beard and a scar over his left eye in Vice Admiral's Uniform came to that island. And with one punch he killed many pirates.After his arrival, it was turn around for marines. And that person single handedly subdued captains and many high level crew members of both pirate crews. This man was none other than Vice Admiral Monkey D Garp. Other pirates were finished very quickly.

At the end of the fight only 200+ marines were left alive. Many were injured badly. In one corner, a man with captain's uniform and one arm was holding a woman with tears in his eyes. The woman had bullet hole in her head. Bu she was still alive as miraculously the bullet didn't damage brain heavily. But it was difficult to remove that bullet. Garp saw him and came there. He looked at her situation and asked medic to help her. Medic couldn't remove that bullet as it was very risky.

So Garp understood the situation and said to Bill that her brain stopped any activity and went into hibernation to not affect the bullet. And she can be saved only by a person with space ability, by which he/she can displace the bullet and remove it from her head.

Bill found a ray of light in the darkness after hearing Garp. He thanked Garp and took his wife to the ship.

When they reached Marineford, Bill decided to retire from marine as he lost his arm and looking at his wife's condition he felt that he should spend more time with his wife or for searching the person with space ability.

The arrogant Vice Admiral, who was reason for the big loss was punished. He was suspended and demoted to Rear Admiral.

There were very few people left in Bill's crew.

Garp took liking for this couple and tagged along with them to Loguetown. Their journey was peaceful and they reached back to Loguetown in 17 days.
