1 The Beginning !

One Punch Man World !

City Z !

A wild looking black haired young man with thick fuzzy hair was looking at instant noodles while holding onto an instant noodle. This young man was purchasing today's ingredients for dinner. His name was Duke, he looks like a cross between a Caucasian and an Asian.

Duke murmured, "How many years have I been reincarnated into the One Punch Man world ?". No one in the supermarket heard his murmurs.

Duke was still concentrating on the instant noodle, his original name in Chinese was Du Ke, now his name was Duke. Kind of ironic if you think about it. The first thing Duke did when he came into the One Punch Man world was to try Saitama's training of 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, 100 squats, 10 km running a day and no air conditioning during the summer or heater during the winter. Duke found out other than gaining a good body from this exercise regime, you can out run a monster if you follow this regime. But you do not gain the power to break the limit with this exercise regime.

Duke who was a former doctor before he died and became the current Duke in One Punch Man world was desperate when he found out that he could not get stronger doing the exercise regime of Saitama. Both Duke's parents had passed away then and he was not much stronger than an ordinary person. The night when both his parents died he cried himself to sleep thinking that his life was hopeless. Duke had reincarnated into the One Punch Man world without a golden finger.

However during that night itself he went into a place where there were other Dukes who had reincarnated into other worlds. And some of them were big shots. Two of the most memorable and powerful Dukes were the one from Dragon Ball world and Naruto world. The Duke from the Dragon Ball world has used the dragon balls to wish for Saiyan genes. The Duke from Naruto world had achieved the impossible, he had gotten power from the sage of the six path from Naruto world. There were many other Dukes as well, the Duke from the Bleach world, the Duke from the magic world, the Duke from the creation of gods world. All these Dukes had shared their power with the Duke from the One Punch Man world. They told him to try his best and every time that they meet when they get stronger they would share their powers with him. They told the Duke from the One Punch Man world not to give up.

It was then that the Duke found the motivation to continue to live. After that night Duke found that he was stronger than a normal human. Duke went crazy and began to hunt monsters in city Z. This craziness of hunting stronger and stronger monster while risking his life continued until one night Duke encountered a monster that was above God level, it was the strongest monster he had ever fought before in his life. Duke barely managed to defeat that monster. When he came back to his apartment in City Z, Duke was battered bloodied and on his last breath.

But then something strange happened that night when Duke slept, his black hair grew out and became as thick as a bush, his wounds healed and there was a new layer of skin that fell off his body. When Duke woke up in the morning he was refreshed and energetic. Duke never felt so alive in all his life. After that night, Duke's nightmare began, he found out that his finger blast was enough to kill almost every single monster he encountered. Even God level monster was killed with a single finger blast.

So now we come back to today as Duke does his shopping at the supermarket while looking at the instant noodle in his hands. Duke knew his combat effectiveness has soared. Even if meets a God level monster, the monster is like an ant to him now. Duke does not know how strong he is right now. Nowadays fighting and killing monsters to Duke was like a chore. Duke wondered if he could hunt heroes. Nah. That's a bad idea, Duke thought. Duke shook his head. Duke did not know whether it was the law of the world or it was himself, he had become a shut in otaku like existence since he gained great power. Duke felt he had no desire anymore. Back then Duke's desire was to get stronger and avenge his parents. Now Duke's wish is to stay at home all day. Duke knew he was losing his desire. Could it be the law of the world ?

Duke greatest desire was to see Saitama and fight with him to see who is stronger ? But Duke was worried, what if Saitama was stronger and accidentally kills him. Duke knew this was a possibility after all he had accidentally killed many monsters when he tried to prolong the fight with these monsters. Hey, it's not my fault, these monsters were just too weak. The risk was too great to fight with Saitama. Duke put the idea out of his mind.

Duke squeezed the instant noodles into bits and pieces. Duke put down the instant noodle in his hands and took another instant noodle. Duke thought, One Punch Man world was similar to Dragon Ball world, the level of life between the strong and the weak were too great. It was clear that the strong in both worlds could destroy the world easily but the strong in both worlds had to reign in their own strength and endure the urge to go all out.

"My name is Duke. The destroyer of worlds. The death of all things. The unstoppable, the unbreakable and the impossible.", Duke murmured to himself softly again. Duke was thinking of studying the limiter in this world and how it limit the life level of this world.

Duke began to sense a murderous aura outside the supermarket, he turned to look at the source. Duke did not know when the middle aged supermarket attendant stood behind his back staring at him. After 3 seconds of the middle aged supermarket attendant staring at Duke, Duke put the instant noodle into his shopping cart. The middle aged supermarket attendant smiled at Duke and left immediately.

Seeing the supermarket attendant had left, Duke put the instant noodle in his shopping cart back on the shelf. Duke smiled, because after reincarnating he did not forget the lessons taught by his parents on Chinese virtues. If you are not buying something put it back in its proper place. Duke had never forgotten this lesson.

There was not many people like me who was so powerful but yet to be able to maintain a normal human morals, Duke thought to himself as he smiled.

However Duke thought too much although he had put back the instant noodle, the shelf holding the instant noodles fell down 3 seconds later. This annoyed the middle aged supermarket attendant immensely.

Rumble !

From a distance a loud sound could heard. The vibration from this sound could be felt even in the supermarket by all the staff and the customers. The shelf's in the supermarket in began to fall one after another due to the small earthquake that was occurring in the supermarket.

"Monster ! Monster ! Quick everyone follow me to hide in the supermarket's underground shelter !", one of the staff at the supermarket shouted out aloud. The staff at the supermarket was very efficient in moving the customers to the underground shelter as they were used to it in the disaster prone One Punch Man world.
