Registration

The next day Kayle woke up feeling refreshed, after eating breakfast with his parents and getting ready, Kayle went to the Hokage office, the investigation about his mission was completed, and his mission was successfully upgraded.

He then spent the next hour registering for the Chunin exam, with the help of his missions and the recommendations letters he had more than the required qualifications. The only issue was that this exam needed a team of three to register. The secretary that was in charge of the registration handed Kayle a list of teams and people from Konoha that were in the same situation as him, After looking at the list Kayle choose randomly Team Kabuto as it was a team from Konohagakure that lacked one member.

After completing the formalities Kayle met wish Kakashi on his way back home.

Kakashi: "Oh! it's good that I found you!"

Kayle: "I just finished registering for the Chunin exam, were you looking for me?"

Kakashi: "Yes! I reported about your talent to the Hokage and he finally started taking me seriously, he wished to meet you but it will have to wait until the end of the Chunin exam"

Kayle: "Sure! did you know why he wanted to see me?"

Kakashi: "Well it's important for the Hokage to know more about his talented Ninjas, so it could a casual conversation or maybe he has an idea of a position he could give you... I also mentioned that you'll be participating in the Chunin exam and he looks forward to it"

Kayle nodded feeling quite strange about this meeting, he always wanted to stay a low profile, but he couldn't avoid showing some of his talents to get access to more resources, If he didn't show his resolve, Gaï would have never trained him this much, if he didn't show his talent, Kakashi wouldn't have helped him learn so many Jutsu...

Kayle: 'Good thing that this meeting is for after Konoha's attack, it seems that I won't have to attend anything'

Our main character had no intention to save the third Hokage from his fate, first, he never was close to him, and secondly, he always thought that the old man had made too many mistakes while being the Hokage.

Since the existence of the village, never in the past had any internal conflict risen inside the village, even then, when the second Hokage who had a strong dislike toward the Uchiha clan was in charge. But during Sarutobi's reign, the Uchiha was about to revolt and if it wasn't for Kayle, Itachi would have ended killing almost every member of his clan.

Another issue that bothered Kayle was that the third Hokage had allowed the elders to interfere too much in the important decisions of the village while giving Danzo too much power and freedom. this last one was the origin of so many conflicts between Konoha and the other villages, while most of the missions Root executed were for Konoha'ss interest, Danzo had crossed the morality line too many times for his own benefices.

Kayle: 'That old man even let Orochimaru escape when he could have solved that issue easily... let his mistake bite his ass I don't care'

After talking a little more with Kakashi, Kayle said his goodbyes and went back to his parents to spend as much time with them as he could before the start of the exam, he knew that he wouldn't have much time to do so once the exam started as he planned to finish learning Senjutsu during the two-month break before the last fights.
