As I'm too focused on talking with my dad, my mom comes from behind me, grabs me, lifting me up, and placing me on her lap while caressing my hair gently.

I feel warm and safe in her embrace, I smile brightly at her and kiss her cheek as I'm still her baby boy, I don't know if it was because of my previous life but I really cherish each moment I spend with my parents, I know the loneliness that comes naturally after becoming an adult.

I grab Maru that was laying on the side and start patting him as he too should feel loved then focus once more on my dad waiting for his explanations.

Dad: "First, why would leaving the village make of you a defecting Ninja? Unless you commit a crime before you leave, then the only other ways to become a deflective ninja are to commit a crime outside, steal or sell some valuable information to another hidden village/countries, or join a criminal group, or be associated with existing criminals, well there is also a few more regulations for the clan's members as they don't want their bloodline spreading outside of the village so the rules are more strict for them but this doesn't concern us".

I nod while trying to remember the moment Sasuke left the village, I'm not sure if he was he considered as a criminal then? or was it when he joined the Akatsuki that he became a real criminal, well at least from my memories, before his fight with Hachibi, Konoha invested very little resources to fight him and I don't think they ever tried to eliminate him, from my memories it was always recovery missions.

Dad: "And you don't need a specific rank to become an adventurer"

Kayle: "What ?! how come ?"

Dad: "Well first let me remind you the benefits of ranks, the first one is that you can only take missions of your rank or with a lower ranking than you"

I look suspiciously at my dad and say with the most innocent voice I have while tilting my head to the side.

Kayle: "So dad you were a failure ?"

I can feel my mom trembling while holding back her laughter while my dad starts getting excited yelling

Dad: "A failure? Me ?!! how dare you! I was a chunin before retiring and I still had a lot of potential left!"

from then on it became a comedic scene with my dad trying everything to show off in front of me and my mom and convince us that he was talented while we had fun acting as we didn't believe him until it was time for bed.

As I laid on my bed, closing my eyes, I started thinking about all I've learnt today trying to organize my thoughts once more, there is still a lot of things I don't know about this world, I should try to pay more attention around me as the anime Naruto wasn't enough to explain such a complex society.

'Let's start by making a summary of my progress until now, I have been training my body for over two years and the same goes with my Chakra control, I'm pretty sure I'm around a genin level in both of them. but Itachi graduated as 5 if my memory is correct and I'm definitely not a match to him as I lack real fighting experiences and ninjutsu techniques well I'm pretty satisfied for now with my result but I'll need to make sure to have more experience fighting, I'll definitely try to spare with Gaï when I can '
