80 Motivation

Kayle and Karin then spent a full day inside of the pocket dimension, the Uchiha there were very welcoming and has long since adapted to the environment, Karin was stunned learning that the Uchiha clan was still alive, it was common knowledge that they had been an accident a few years ago which lead to their massacre.

After resting and recuperating to the maximum they both finally left and resumed the exam, Kayle wasn't the least worried, he was sure that Kabuto would do the job. As he started walking toward the central tower.

Karin: "So do you know when we will meet next time?"

Kayle: "I'm not sure of the exact date your village will be attacked, but it should be in less than a month, I'll already be in the pocket dimension training while preparing for the tournament, I have a technique I want to master before then"

Karin: "But you are already so powerful! You can easily pass the exam without training more... why would you still spend all your time doing that?"

Kayle: "I'm this powerful because I've always spent most of my time training efficiently, and looking for more ways to improve my training efficiency even more...But I'm not satisfied yet... I know I can become even stronger... I know I can improve further... Once I reach my goal I will have all the time to rest then"

Karin: "But don't you feel tired sometimes? where do you find the motivation to work so hard..."

Kayle: "It wasn't easy at the start... it was exhausting... and to the truth, I only found that answer recently... I'm not even sure it's the correct one, do you still want to hear it?"

Karin: "Yes! I do!"

Kayle: "One day I started thinking, where do I want to be in five years? what do I want to look like in 5 years?... and the answer to that is that I don't want to be someone weak, I don't want to be someone poor, I don't want to be at the mercy of others, I want to control my own fate! I want to be able to walk whatever path I choose! Once you know that you will know the purpose of all the hard work you do and all the headaches you get due to frustration"

Karin that was as his side stopped walking as she started wondering what was the reason for her existence, she knew she didn't want to be a tool for others, she knew she wanted to have a close friend and a new family to feel the warmth of love she lost after her mother's death.

Kayle: "That's why I work hard every day, I do it because I want to be a better person tomorrow, I want to open doors for my future self! and whenever I'm lacking confidence or motivation, I'll only have to think, what will I be like if I work hard for one more month"

Saying that Kayle felt excited as he felt his blood boil, he wanted his future self to be better than the current one, and he knew hard work paid off, a few years ago he got one shot by a genin... and right now he was confident on confronting one of the three sannin face to face.

Karin: "I want my future self to be stronger enough to protect herself and the people she cherishes! I want her to live happily next to the people she likes... I-I will train seriously! could you help me with that?"

Kayle: "Sure! I can be your teacher if you want! I'd always wanted to have a cute student"
