64 Family

It's been three days since the event with Haku and Zabuza, before separating from them, Kayle made sure to explain to them a little about Groot objective, which could be summarized in two main points, the first one was to prepare for the future war, and the second one is to create peace between all the existing hidden villages.

The bridge also successfully finished its construction, with the help of most of the villagers the project which should still take several more weeks was finished in a couple of days.

Now that the team 7 mission was completed, everyone was quite excited to go back to their hometown Kayle included. It was a very fresh and entertaining experience for him to roam outside the village but he really missed his sweet home.

As a saying goes, you only notice things once you lose them, right now Kayle wanted to spend more time with his parents, he wanted to enjoy once more his slow and peaceful life inside the village without complications.

As they were slowly walking back towards the village, Kakashi couldn't help but notice the happy mood Kayle had.

Kakashi: "You seem really excited"

Kayle: "haha do I? well you are totally correct! I've only left Konoha for three weeks but I already missed it so much"

Kakashi: "The will of fire is burning brightly inside you...This only shows how much you love your hometown"

Kayle: "That's true... this is the place we grew up in after all... it's where our family is"

Naruto that has been listening looked a little sad as he said

Naruo: "But I don't have any family there... so is it still my home"

Before he could even finish his sentence Kayle had hit his head gently.

Kayle: "Friends are the family you choose! are you saying that you don't consider me like a brother? what about my parents that invited you every week to dine with us are you calling them uncle and aunty just for fun?"

Naruto rubbed the big bump on his head as he started smiling brightly.

Naruto: "Of course not! Uncle and Aunty are so good with me! I will never disrespect the love they gave me!"

Kakashi smiled as he found this interaction very positive but he then remembered about Sasuke past and couldn't help but curse the Hokage.

Kakashi: 'Why the hell would he form a team as complicated as this one... A Jinchuriki...A survivor of a massacre and a girl with pink hair...'

Kakashi then looked suspiciously at Sakura wondering if she too had a dark secret that he wasn't aware of yet, but seeing her drool while looking at Kayle he couldn't help but sigh and shake his head...

The journey took a total of three days, during this time every one of them got a lot closer to each other, even Sasuke would often ask advice to Kayle about his training which Kayle would happily answer.

The moment they were about to separate at the door of the village Kayle took the opportunity to ask Kakashi for a favor.

Kayle: "If my information is correct the Chunin exam should happen in around two months, I should be qualified to participate thanks to the missions I did but it wouldn't hurt to have your referral as well, could you write me a letter ?"

Kakashi: "Sure you are more than qualified to become a Chunin, I will write a letter for you and I will also mention it to Hokage... I will go right away to report our mission to him, so you will only get your letter tomorrow is that fine"

Kayle: "Perfect! there is no need to hurry, I will ask one from Gaï sensei as well"

After these last few worlds, Kakashi and Kayle finally went different ways as Kayle started heading in the direction of his house.
