Exploring the Academy

I woke up today early as usual, I trained my body for around 1 hour, ate my breakfast with my parents before leaving for the academy.

On the way there I picked a few leaves from a tree so I can train my chakra control while listening to the boring course.

Once inside the classroom, I went all the way back sitting in the last row near on the window's side, Maybe I will gain some additional luck stats and charisma as most cool anime's protagonists tend to sit near a window.

My main reason is to be less bothered by the teachers during my training, not that I mind gaining some plot armor.

I look to my right and see a boy around my age with black short hair and black eyes sitting there.

Kayle: "Hey nice to meet you! I'm kayle! My parents own a small shop on the main road"

He looks at me surprised before smiling back at me

Boy: "Nice to meet you Kayle! I'm Shinji Uchiha"

Kayle: "Uchiha?! like the big famous clan Uchiha? the one that is controlling the Military Police Force ?"

Shinji: "Yes that one"

Kayle: "Then how come you are in the civilian class?" I ask suspiciously

Shinji: "Well to tell you the truth I only share my name with them, I've been adopted since I was young.. my parents died a few years ago when a disaster hit the village... I'm not sure what happened but it seems that both my parents died saving a few Uchiha kids" as he explains his situation he voice become a little heavy almost tearing up a little

I pat his shoulder comforting him "Well dying while saving innocent children.. your parents are definitely heroes, you should be proud of them"

He nods as he seems to regain some of his spirits, I smile satisfied and the teacher finally starts his lesson, it seems that today Iruka sensei is the one in charge of teaching us.

I had a little hope as he seems to be as it's quite the important character, but once again it's a boring one, teaching us to respect our elders and the experience they have.

Iruka: "Kids be sure to never disrespect ninjas with more experience than you, they are working every day to protect the safety of their village and do differents missions to gain some benefits for it."

He kept explaining how some of the ninjas made a lot of sacrifices, even giving their lives for some of them.

I didn't waste my time and used the leaves to train my chakra control, I can currently have 4 leaves stick on my body simultaneously, when I try with five I will lose control and all of them will fall.

Shinji that was sitting at my side looked at me curiously, as I had some additional leave he started doing this training too.

After three hours, we had finally a break, we went to the court of the Academy, most of us would go there to eat our bentos, even though a room was reserved for the ones wanting to eat inside.

I sat there eating and talking with Shinji about random things, while looking around, I could see Naruto sitting by a corner by himself, Shikamaru and Choji were also there eating together and cloud gazing, and even Sasuke was there surrounded by several girls trying to feed him, look like he was quite social before the Uchiha incident.

'Good, I can at least befriend them as we are all student of the Academy but I will have to be careful not to raise any suspicion'

As I finish eating I remember the massacre of all the Uchiha

Kayle: "By the way, Shinji, are you living in the Uchiha compound ?"

Shinji: "Oh, Yes! you could come to visit and have some fun at home if you want"

I get slightly worried, is there anything I can do to save him, I'm definitely not powerful enough to change the situation as I want and whatever I do go leads to endangering myself with no benefits.

For one of the first times since I've been reborn, I realize that life in this world is a very easy thing to lose, I could die tomorrow if I'm not careful enough and end up in the wrong place at the wrong timing.
