End of first exam
Kayle decided to not go back to sleep after everything happened, at first he wanted to just sleep during the whole exam and not interfere, but as his calm sleep got disturbed by Ibiki he got annoyed and irritated which caused him to cause this commotion.
As the exam was about to be completed Ibikki finally showed his true colors as he explained the tenth question, he put a large pressure on everyone as he explained that anyone who stayed and failed this question would stay as a genin his whole life.
Quite a lot of people in the room lacked the confidence to answer the last question correctly, and the punishment of being a genin for the rest of their life was completely unreasonable, everyone strived for success, they wanted to get stronger and get recognition for it. The Chunin exam could be retaken every six months and taking such a huge gamble wasn't reasonable.
People started leaving the examination room one by one, and the more people left the quicker others would follow them, Sakura that didn't lack any confidence, was pretty sure that she wouldn't have any issue answering the last question, but in this situation where everything was good for her qualities shined the brightest.
Despite not liking Naruto, she was afraid that he may lose all his future just to not slow them down, and at that moment she was ready to be self-sacrifice, she wanted to raise he hand and abandon this exam for him.
She didn't like Naruto but she didn't want him anything bad either, Sasuke her other teammate might hate her if she abandoned and made the whole team fail, but she was ready to accept it because she knew that was the right thing to do.
Kayle who until now had a less than positive impression of Sakura couldn't help but change his opinion on her.
Kayle: 'Well she isn't so bad after all, she is smart and compassionate, she had very little greed and is ready to sacrifice herself for the greater good... I'll try to be a little nicer to her'
While Sakura was about to abandon the exam, Naruto finally yelled loud and clearly how he felt, any logical thinker would have long abandoned considering the ups and downs but not him, he relied on his instincts, he relied on his feelings, and abandoning now wasn't an option for him.
Naruto: "You think you can scare me? I'll never surrender! I'll answer your question! and even if I'm mistaken, even if I have to stay a genin my whole life! I'll become a Hokage!"
Sakura: 'Look like he made his choice...I will respect it'
The mood suddenly changed in the room, the genins that were still hesitating steeled their mind, they felt courage surge from the deepest part of their hearts and embrace, any fear, doubt, or hesitation they still had started to fade slowly burn by their newfound courage.
Ibiki watched as no one decided to abandon the exam anymore, he looked at Naruto with interest and he felt slightly proud as he saw the Konoha headband on Naruto's head. As he knew everyone made their mind he finally announced the end of this exam, explaining that everyone remaining in the room had succeeded the first exam, he then started explaining the objective of the first test.
Ibiki: "Congratulation everyone! in this exam we tested your courage! a ninja who let doubts and fear control him isn't worthy of being a chunin! that's how I see it! with this, I conclude the first test of the chunin exam!"
The room exploded in a roar of cheers and laugher, everyone was excited and relieved to had succeeded in their first challenge, in total 26 teams had been qualified which was more than the usual, due to Naruto inspiring speech, several ninjas had gained the courage to face the last question head-on.
As everyone was relaxing, a loud sound of glass braking sounded in the room that silenced everyone and made them vigilant to the newcomer.
Anko Mitarashi: "Hello everyone! it's not time to relax yet, I'll be your second examiner Anko Mitarashi, I want everyone to follow me !"
