Let's Hope That It Is Just Ants

Blankly looking outside the door i question all my life choices.

I just through out a monster corpse that was around my size, just to check what would have happened should i not possess the 'danger sense' skill.

These tiny little things took less than 2 seconds to make it disappear and didn't even leave a bone behind!

I was so stressed by the situation that i even forgot to infuse the corpse with gluttonus aura.

Thankfully my 'Effect tolerance' leveled up, so i got a grip of the situation.

Heh, bugs rely on numbers to kill, i can mow them down using gluttony, i am something like their natural counter.

With a smug smile on my face i make my way near the door and guickly poke my hand out and drop a massive amount of gluttonus aura, but this time i made it diluted and made it so it slowly moves forward.

Had any other monster seen an ominous black cloud moving forward at a slow speed the would at the very least moved out of the way but these ants just sat in place, even when they are dying the didn't let out a single voice.

Now that i think about it i don't think ants are able to speak but don't let such a useless piece of information dissuade you from the important imformation that is that 5 of these tiny little things GIVE ALMOST AS MUCH ENERGY AND MANA AS A NORMAL VAMPIRE BAT.

5 of these normal ants give as much as a top predator of the first floor would give, i am telling you this is complete bullshit, if the worker ants are like this the wouldn't 5 soldier ants amount to as much energy of a big bat, what about the male ants wouldn't the be like the earth drake i killed.

But this is not my point of consern, as you can see i don't even have a comparison for the strongest member of the ant colony, the queen.

I can only hope that it she hasn't and won't create a super ant like a novel i used to read otherwise i will be in huge trouble.

There is also a 99% chance of her being able to cast magic, which is a point of consern all by itself because it would mean that she possesses some amount of intelligence since unlike the drake she can't be born with it.

And this is only for the ants, what about other kinds of bug-monsters, are there even more or did the ants kill them all.

Then again i realy hope it's just ants.

Just when i had this thought my 'danger sense' started ringing alarm bells.

I quicly pulled my hand back to the safe zone only to see a 3 fists thick and many meters long centipede whose body was still attached to the ceiling come attempt to bite me.

Still even though i pulled my hand super fast it still managed to scratch me.

My eyes opened wide in horror, not only was it poisonous but also the poison was extremely strong, to the point of being able to give a whole level in a skill made from my title that takes many times more to level up in just a second.

"Fucking hell and here i was hoping for there to only be ants!"

The funny thing is that the ants only attacked the centipede when it momentarily touched the floor and gave up when it went back up.

This drew my attention, so i took a corpse out and threw it out but his time i send it upwards.

Instead of the ants trying to get it like mad as i had hoped they ignored it and let some of the centipedes get it.

This is the worst case scenario, the bugs of this floor or at the very least the ants and the centipedes have spit the area.

Ants get whatever is on the ground and the centipedes what is on the ceiling.

These monsters possess intelligence!

How is even possible?!

On the previous floor the monsters also had set some restictions on each other but nothing this complex.

Are they beginning to become demons?

Yes demons, demons in this worlds aren't like the novels i had read.

Instead of being born a place like 'Hell' or something like that, they are monsters that began to possess intelligence.

For example dragons can be considered demons, some demons give up their monster characteristics to become more human.

Beast-people for example are named as such and not demons because they look and act very similarly like humans, to the point of being able to get rid of their demon title.

Vampires on the other hand just used force to make the other races not call them demons.

Nevermind this, this is a huge problem, if this is happening on the second floor what will happen on the 3 and 4 floor.

Just as i was about to start cursing the system i heard fighting over the distance.

It me a while to see clearly to what was happening and i instantly regreted seeing it.

Countless smaller spiders were going after the ants and let me tell you this fight wasn't even close, these poor ants were getting crushed.

There also stound a huge spider, at least 2 meters tall, slurping up a centipede like it was some kind of noodle!

This was supposed to be a normal novel with an op mc, how did it end up becoming horror!

Again, 'effect tolerance' saving the day.

Now that i am calm again i can finaly make some sense of the situation.

The spiders are probably the apex predators of this floor, the ants and centipedes uses their low intelligence to make truce and fight back agaist the spiders.

I expressionlessly look outside for a bit before i stepped out of the room.

This would have been originaly a bad idea but now it's like a pincer attack.

Waving my hand i made a cloud of gluttonus aura but this time it covers me like a dome and with the little mana i had left i casted a spell.

Yep this is the skill that the earth drake used, although it says stone skin i can actualy feel that it is way stronger than that.

"DING"

A good-hearted centipede helped me figure out just how much defence it adds, seeing it come so quick to help i couldn't help but cover it with nice black dust, you know, to be more fashionable before sending it right bact to it's kind.

I kept walking and destroying everything that got in my path, all the mana that i would get would be used to strengthen and enlarge the dome and the energy to the body to evolve.

By the time i had gotten near the battlefornt of the spiders i had filled all the space with black dust, in the beginning i would need huge amounts of mana to sustain such a move but when i reached level 35 i got the ability to just leave the produced dust wherever i wanted without cost, i didn't realy use it in the previous floor since it would have been useless but now i can use it to cover huge spaces and make sure no insect either escapes or sneaks in.

This is my most powerfull weapon in this floor, with this i can go over every inch of the floor and make absolutely sure that i didn't miss a single bug.

Oh, i don't think i have ever mentioned this but i realy hate bugs, really really REALLY hate bugs.

Seeing that i was finaly somewhat close to the huge spider i started casting 'weak light spear' and 'weak light arrow barrage', it would have been a better idea to attack it with something like gluttonus aura spear but i would rather use that mana to fill up this place with even more dust.

"PUCHI"

Good the spear did a good amount of damage, i was worried that it wouldn't be even able to hurt it but it would seem that my fight with the earth drake made me a bit too cautious.

"SCREECH"

The big spider on the other hand was not very amused my the light spear that just hit it's back so it turned to me and started sprinting, i was getting ready for some melee but it stoped right outside the space that was filled with gluttonus dust.

Not only did it stop, but it turned around and started running away and send the smaller spiders for cover.

Something that i was obviously not going to allow.

The spider that was previously on the run was now stuck in a quagmire.

This is also a spell that the drake had used but i can only get the weakest version, just like what had happened when Rose had taught me her skills.

The way the drake has used it was my manipulationing the earth under my feet and creating a spike to skewer me.

I currently can only slightly infuence the earth around me, not nearly enough to pull the same moves as the drake.

Still it's enough, a single 'weak light spear' was enough to finish the big spider off, as for the rest of the spiders, ants and centipedes there were either dead or soon to be so i didn't bother with them.

The creature of this floor aren't aware enough to be scared by the dust spreading, so i will continue producing and spreading gluttonus aura slowly but surely filling up the whole floor.

This is by no means a sure-deal plan, by either having cleansing spells or by simple removing creatures from the surrounding area so that i can't get any mana would be enough to force me out but it's the best plan for the time being.

I would also like to evolve 'weak light spear', so i will split my mana doing those things while i physically search around for possible drops.

Looking around, i began collecting drops.
