I shook my head, and her shoulders sagged. "No. But we can start fresh. I can empathize with the words you spoke that day, as I've had a similar experience of letting those dark thoughts take root. It doesn't mean that I can forget them though. With that said though, I will wipe the slate clean, and we can start from the ground up. Is that agreeable?"

She smiled brightly at that. "I can agree to that. It's more than what I was convinced I'd leave here with."

I nodded. "Now, what was your theory you had?" I asked, changing gears. I didn't like awkward atmospheres.

Her chakra soon buzzed with excited energy.

"Ok, so here it is. The three tomoe you see on the curse seal serve a specific function. They aren't there to look symmetrical or cool, as I initially thought. Inside the urn I felt three different sources invading my chakra system. The first was the whispers of power to entice the user to seek out the power it held. The second was a vile chakra that made my skin crawl. The third though? It was a very powerful, yet calming and soothing type of chakra. I theorized that if I could somehow isolate the mind altering chemical as well as the vile chakra, I could use the calming powerful chakra to enhance my own power." She gushed excitedly.

"That is what you did. I remember seeing the memory. Your appearance changed at the release of the 2nd stage, but after a moment it changed again. It seemed to take a lot out of you though." I pondered out loud.

She nodded vigorously. "The concentration and control needed are ridiculous. The pride came that I was able to do it at all, especially since I had succeeded on my first attempt, however short that was."

I made eye contact with her, finally understanding where the pride came from. It made sense. I would be proud too. She really was a genius.

"I assume that time you spent away made that process easier?" I asked casually.

"It did. I also was able to figure out exactly how this curse seal works. I gave my notes to Naruto, hoping it would help his research into its removal." Sakura said happily.

I… was actually shocked. I didn't think Sakura would want this seal removed. What I felt that day did NOT match up to what she was telling me and what I was feeling. She was genuinely happy to contribute in the removal of the seal.

"You want it gone?" I voiced my disbelief.

"What? Oh gods, no. At least, not all of it. As I said, I cracked the code."

"If her notes bear fruit and Naruto does crack the conundrum of removing the seal, we can recreate it and apply it to our own soldiers." Sasuke spoke up.

"Ok, now I know neither of you is insane. So maybe explain from the beginning your plan before I have you both committed for this insanity about putting a curse seal on our own men and women." Ino piped in, frowning at the pair.

Sakura caught Ino's hard eyes, her own widening in shock. "Oh gods, I'm so sorry. No. Yes, I'll explain."

She pulled down the collar of her shirt, pointing to one of the tomoe. "This right here contains Orochimaru's tainted chakra. It floods the users system on release. Its main goal is to get the body used to the feeling of his chakra. If the seal is missing this piece, the body would reject him and he would die since it hasn't had time to adapt to Orochimaru's chakra.

She pointed to another. "This is responsible for the corruption of the mind. In actuality, it is a small piece of Orochimaru's soul. It is attached to this section, planting the poisonous thoughts into the user's mind. This allows Orochimaru's will to overpower the users when he takes over the body."

She smiled at Ino and I. "These are the two sections we hope Naruto can remove. This third section is actually a huge benefit to anyone who can handle the application of the seal."

"What does it do?" Ino asked, her suspicion from earlier gone, replaced by genuine curiosity. I was honestly in the same boat. This seal, however vile and unnatural, was a god damn piece of art!

"It changes the genetic code of the user. Giving them a bloodline." Sasuke stated bluntly.

I started at the two in shock. Ino stared at the two in shock.

Sakura smacked Sasuke lightly on the arm. "Moron. Let me explain."

She smiled at the gobsmacked expression on Ino and my faces.

"In a sense, what Sasuke said is true. This section contains the genetic material of one of Orochimaru's experiments. A young man named Jugo comes from an unnamed clan. He is believed to be the only remaining member of this clan alive. Their bloodline causes them to go berserk, and they would fight each other until their rage subsided. Usually after killing the other person."

"You both know about Natural chakra and Sages, right?" She asked in a clinical voice.

I nodded, but Ino shook her head.

"All living beings in our world have chakra. The trees, flowers, water, the earth… everything. This Nature Chakra is much different from our own chakra, though. It is much heavier, denser, and potent. It is life itself. A sage is someone who has mastered the ability to draw in the surrounding natural energy around them and creating a perfect balance between their own chakra and the natural energy they pull in. It's very dangerous, and the requirements to even attempt the training are astronomical. In fact, Konoha has only two known sages in our history. Lord Jiraiya, of course. Also the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju."

"People say that of the hokage, Lord Third was the strongest. He surpassed his predecessors. This is all true. All except for one fact. Lord First, sitting in his office, would lose to Lord Third in his prime. Lord First absorbing natural energy and using Sage Mode? He would destroy Lord Third without breaking a sweat." Sakura stated with convicition.

I pondered her words. I had no idea Lord First was a sage? If that's true, then Sakura was correct. Lord Third would have the floor wiped with him if Lord First had gone all out.

Which raises the question. How did Lord First die in the first place? Sages are incredibly resilient from what I've been told.

"That is really cool and interesting, but what does that have to do with your seal?" Ino asked impatiently.

Sakura rolled her eyes. "I was getting to that, Pig." She smirked as Ino's face turned a few shades darker. "This Jugo and his clan, their bloodline, allows them to passively absorb natural energy at all times around them, without any training."

My heart dropped. A bloodline that imitated Sage Mode? Sages were said to surpass Kage.

"Their body releases an enzyme that others don't have. This enzyme absorbed the natural energy, and expelled it safely from the body. Normally, this had no effect on day to day life. However, sometimes the enzymes didn't don't expel the natural energy. When this occurred, they would go berserk. The power was too much for them. I read that those who fail to master sage mode become one with nature. Usually turning to stone or into a tree. Jugo's enzymes prevent that, but the price comes with mental instability." Sakura finished.

"So that final tomoe somehow replicates that process?" I asked as the picture was becoming clearer.

Sasuke shook his head. "This tomoe perfected the process. If you can isolate the change to this single tomoe, you can theoretically achieve a weaker version of full sage mode. Orochimaru admitted to us that Jugo's clan's bloodline didn't allow for the exact balance needed for perfect sage mode. This is why the appearance change is so dramatic. However, it is a significant power boost to every facet of the shinobi arts. Strength, speed, chakra capacity. All increased. Techniques get boosted. Illusions are stronger. Sakura was able to completely isolate her seal to that single tomoe within a year of practicing. I wasn't able to do so until just a few months ago." Pride oozed from Sasuke at that declaration.

Sakura blushed heavily at the praise. "He's exaggerating. And it still takes nearly all my concentration to maintain the isolation. Hopefully, Naruto can remove the first two tomoe. This eliminates that strain and Sasuke and I can fight full out while utilizing the seal."

I was stunned. If what Sakura said was true, and we could reverse engineer that single seal and make it completely safe to apply, we could, in theory, have an entire force of pseudo-sages.

"The gears are turning, Yamanaka. What evil plans is that messed up brain churning out now?" Sasuke asked with a hint of mirth in his voice.

"If… if we could safely apply this isolate seal onto our shinobi, we would have the indisputable strongest army in the world." I said in a voice barely above a whisper. The idea excited me, but more than that it absolutely frightened me. That type of power can go to a person's head.

"That was Lord Fifth's thought as well." Sakura said with a frown. "Of course there are a lot of what ifs. The first being if we can even remove the two undesirable functions of the seal. If we can, they still need to completely reverse engineer the seal into a useable form. After that, we would be asking people to risk their lives to test the seal's application. There are a lot of pieces that need to fall perfectly into place before we even consider applying this seal to the general forces."

"Not to mention, applying the seal to a run of the mill genin would lead to a false sense of power and get a lot of people killed. Itachi said IF this were to all work out like people are hoping, it would only be applied to established Jonin." Sasuke added.

"That makes sense. A Jonin is already strong enough and confident enough in their abilities not to let a power boost like this go to their head and give them a false sense of confidence. It would be a strict boon to someone at this table. Genin and Chunin would become complacent, falling back to their seal if they needed it. A genin with a seal would still easily be crushed by a Jonin, let alone a skilled Chunin. The team that went after you two proved that particular fact." Ino said, her brow furrowed in concentration.

"Exactly. As I said, a lot of "what ifs" still hang in the air. More questions than answers. For now, let's not dwell on it. We have to let Naruto and his clan work their magic first before we start theorizing the future." Sakura said brightly.

We all agreed to that, and conversation took a turn to lighter subjects. We all chatted amiacably for a few hours, catching each other up over the last four years.

I smiled at Sakura who beamed back.

Father always said only the weak hold onto their grudges and hatred. Only the strong can forgive and move on.

I would be strong. I would accept Sakura's words and attempt to rebuild the bridge that was burned.

In the back of mind though, I would never forget her words. If she proved herself to be the traitor I once thought she was, I would put her down mercilessly and without hesitation.

*****************************Army of SUPER SOLDIERS!?**********************************

I knocked sharply on the heavy wooden door before me. Today was the day of my evaluation. I was confident that I would be back on the mission roll by days end.

"Enter," Lord Fifth's voice called out.

I took one last deep breath, steeling my nerves. I pushed open the door, immediately taking in my surroundings. Lord Fifth was at his desk. His face an unreadable mask, his chakra calm and neutral.

Uncle stood to his side. His face was a stony mask, his chakra spoke of unease and apprehension.

The biggest surprise though that standing beside my uncle was my newly identified grandfather. One of the three elders of our clan.

"Lord Inogi, I was not expecting to see you here." I said, bowing to the three men in front of me.

"Since the cat is out of the bag," He gave a small glare towards Uncle. "You can call me grandfather, if you so desire."

I shook my head. "That would be… very strange, Lord Inogi. I mean no disrespect of course, but I hope you understand."

He chuckled wryly. "I understand completely."

I smiled at my grandfather before turning my quizzical gaze on Uncle Inoichi.

"We're doing a full evaluation. Lord Fifth wants to see the progress you've made over the last two weeks. We're doing a full walk and view from your arrival to Konoha following your father's death, through the moment you walked in through the door. We will be here for some time. Your strength is needed, Kenta. Now more than ever. But we're also not sending you out to the field without full confidence in your mental integrity." Uncle explained.

My stomach dropped. Butterflies were attacking my stomach with a vengeance. A full viewing? They were going to know my darkest thoughts that horrible day. I was fucked. Plain and simple. I chuckled lightly at the irony of the situation. Just days ago Sasuke was reassuring me that my thoughts were my own and I laughed at his statement. It seems I would be correct once again. Well, I could only comply and hope for mercy. Maybe they'll even let me say goodbye to Mom and Kono before they killed me.

I nodded and took a step forward. "I'm ready to begin."

My atonement started now.

******************************Mind **** Commence!************************************

I groaned as Uncle finally removed his hands from my temples. My brain was literally throbbing. A month of memories played out over the course of six hours. Of course, we only saw the highlights. No one wanted to watch me bathe or brush my teeth. I may have been a depressed, sulky, emotional teenager, but I still practiced basic hygiene, thank you very much!

I finally was able to open my eyes against the bright light flooding the office. I quickly shut them again. Three stone cold masks stared imperiously at me. I was fucked. I was dead. I was going to be labeled a traitor and executed publicly. That was the only correct course of action.

"Let's start with Lord Inogi. Your thoughts." Lord Fifth's voice cut through the silence like a knife.

"Where to begin?" He muttered quietly. "Let's see, first off, this melt down should have been seen coming from a mile away. He is his father's son, through and through. Inoko was the same. Striving for perfection. Bottling almost everything up. Taking on more responsibility than he can handle. Yes, the failure for not recognizing the signs falls on us, his family. The signs were there, but Kenta is the pride of our clan. He strives for greatness, lifting all those around him. We turned a blind eye to his cries for help."

"As one who walks the fine line between moral and immoral, the dark thoughts were not a surprise either, if a little on the dramatic side. Though Kenta is known to never do things half-ass. Apparently, plotting revenge doesn't escape that particular habit. All said and done though, he took the necessary steps and continues to strive forward towards making amends and bettering himself. Emotionally and mentally I would declare him fit for duty. As a grandfather, and elder of his clan, these negative thoughts and ideas of our clan will be addressed. I am glad to see you saw the error of your ways; however, such drastic thoughts were out of line and must be remedied. I'm curious though, what technique would you have used to carry out such dark thoughts? Surely you were exaggerating being able to take out the entire clan with a single attack?"

My spirits had lifted slightly hearing Lord Inogi's assessment. However, I flinched noticeably at his latest inquiry. 100% honesty though. Don't be a hypocrite, Kenta.

"An A-Rank storm release technique named 'Slicing Shockwave.' A band of light gathers around my abdomen before quickly expanding in all directions, cutting cleanly all that it touches. It expands to it's max radius of 100 feet around me in under a second." I replied.

Grandfather hummed in thought. "A deadly technique indeed. Tell me, Kenta. Do you honestly despise your clan so?"

I met his eyes with a furious fire burning in my own. "Never. Despite my darkest thoughts, I love the clan with my entire being. My goal remains the same, it will never waver. I will make the world fear our name. I will bring us to new heights. Ino and I will work hand in hand to achieve greatness. This I swear on my father's soul."

Lord Inogi smiled. "Then let those guilty thoughts trouble you no longer, my grandson. If we judge a man in his weakest moments, we will never know kindness, love, or acceptance. Continue to strive for greatness. Despite what your inner demons tell you, my son was correct. You are the pride of our clan. You will reach your goals, and the clan will be there to celebrate your accomplishments every step of the way."

I stared in amazement at Lord, no, my grandfather. He was a wise man, who I was already grateful for knowing as my elder. I bowed deeply to him in respect.

"I will. I will work my entire life to make amends." I said seriously.

"That is all I have, Lord Fifth." Lord Inogi said smiling warmly at me.

"Thank you, Lord Inogi. Lord Inoichi, your thoughts?" Lord Fifth asked.

Uncle stared at me for many moments before he answered. "I agree with my father's assessment. My nephew made a mistake, grievous and near unforgivable mistake, I admit. But he was in pain. We didn't do enough. We pride ourselves on our mastery of the mind, but when one of our own needs our help, we leave him to flounder. The blame falls as much on my shoulders as it does Kenta's. My own grief at losing my brother blinded me to the nephew who lost his father."

He sighed deeply. "Thoughts of murdering a pregnant woman and purging your clan. You really don't do anything in half measures, do you, Kenta? I give my stamp of approval to return to duty, but you and I will continue to have weekly sessions for the next six months to assess your mental state. You will come and talk to me as soon as you are back in the village from a mission, especially if you use your normal tactics in a fight. Do I make myself clear? If you do not follow these conditions, I will have you pulled indefinitely from active duty."

I bowed to my clan head and uncle. "I agree to your conditions, Uncle. I will not neglect my mental health any longer. I will make sure to communicate any issues that arise in a timely matter and will work to create an alternative plan if necessary."

He nodded and smiled at me after a few more minutes of the stony glare. "I'm proud of you, Kenta. Your dad would be too. You lost yourself for a moment, but you are on the road to finding yourself once more. Keep your friends and family close. Stop bottling everything up. Talk to me any time you need to. Ino is also available. Also, stop worrying about Naruto and Lady Fú judging you for who you are. What was the one thing my brother hammered into you when you started learning about psychological warfare?"

I smiled wryly. "To never lie or hide from the people who love you. To always be 100% honest with them, even if you think they won't like or accept your decision."

Dammit. I ended up proving to be a hypocrite.

Uncle placed a hand on my shoulder and smiled up at me. Huh. I guess you never realize that the people you admire, respect, and look up to are anything but always taller than you.

"I love you, Kenta. Your Aunt loves you. Ino loves you. The clan loves you. We love you for you. Dramatics and all. Don't ever hide your true self from anyone ever again. Do you understand me?" He said in a soft voice. A voice that was so strikingly familiar to my father's that a lump formed in my throat, preventing me from answering. I settled for a quick nod and rapid blinking of my eyes. Uncle let go and turned towards Lord Fifth.

"That is all I have, Lord Itachi. My nephew is fit to return to duty." Uncle announced.

"Thank you, Inoichi. Thank you both. You have made my decision much easier." Lord Fifth said in an even tone. I stretch my senses out, attempting to get a good read. "Bottle those senses up, Yamanaka. You are going to take everything I say at face value, without that emotion reading you do."

My jaw dropped. How did he…? Nope. Not even going there. Lord Fifth was once again proving the impossibly wide chasm that separated the two of us. I shut down my sensing, pulling it in as tight as possible.

"Yes, Lord Fifth." I saluted, leaving it at that.

"You are one of the best and brightest shinobi in my ranks. Your skills are only out done by a select few. You are wise beyond your years. You are a perfect example of what every one of my shinobi should strive for. You think calmly and rationally. You make decisions based on logic, while also following your instincts. You do not shut down your emotions. You embrace them and channel them productively. Overall, you are the perfect shinobi." He stated in his monotone voice.

My heart soared at the praise. This was going MUCH better than I could have ever dreamed of. It was too perfect. Too good. Suspicious, I was.

"Having said all that, the way you handled the death of your father was absolutely abhorrent. You lashed out. Acted irrationally. You lost your cool and used weak and flimsy excuses. You contemplated murder. You attempted to murder your own cousin. In short, you failed, epically. This shows me that the second you are faced with hardship; you crumple under the pressure. That is not a shinobi I need in my ranks." His monotone voice never changed. I grit my teeth, consciously forcing myself not to feel out his emotions. I was already in the doghouse.

"However." He paused, letting his dressing down sink deep into every pore of my body. "You were able to bounce back. You showed resilience that is rare in a shinobi your age. I trust in you, Kenta, to learn from this experience and to grow. If I took every Shinobi on payroll of active duty for their first meltdown, we would be invaded and part of Iwa within a week. I don't need shinobi that crumple under pressure. What I do need is Shinobi that can learn and grow from the hardships they face, coming back stronger and more resilient that before. Is that something you can do in the future, Kenta? Can I trust that you have grown from this tragic experience?"

I met Lord Fifth's eyes and saluted once more. "Yes, sir. Cpt Genma told us early on in our careers that humans aren't perfect and that we make mistakes. He said a mistake can be forgiven. However, only idiots make the same mistakes twice. I'm not idiot, Lord Fifth."

Lord Fifth nodded. "A wise bit of advice. I trust you, Kenta, for you haven't given me a reason to doubt you yet. I need you, now more than ever. Konoha needs you. We're facing danger that requires all hands-on deck. You're some of the strongest hands we have. Become the Shinobi I know you can be."

I simply nodded. Words escaping me at the moment.

"On another note, I'm very happy to see that you were mature enough to talk, listen and make amends with Sakura. That right there was when I knew that you were becoming more mature. It will also serve you well in the very near future." Lord Fifth said mysteriously.

"Why is that, Lord Fifth?"

"Because you will be leading a mission that starts tomorrow morning. You, Sasuke and Sakura will be tracking down and eliminating Kakuzu. Intelligence has the man in the Land of Rivers. He is there hunting a bounty on a man named Raiga. A missing ninja from Kiri and one of the former Seven Swordsman of the Mist. You will lead the team to intercept him and eliminate him. After that, you will then track down and eliminate Raiga, retrieving the Kiba Blades in his possession. Lady Tsunade's apprentice, Haku, will accompany you. He has strict orders to act solely as medic if needed. He will not be participating in the battle unless absolute necessary."

I nodded in thought. "We should be more than enough to take down Kakuzu. Any particular reason it's just the three of us? I assume he is acting alone, since his partner is out of commission." I couldn't hide the vindictive smirk that crossed my face.

"When the initial report came in that day, Sasuke offered his strength to your team. You declined, but that was the correct course of action. You didn't know what they were capable of, your deduction was sound. Their presence could have been a hindrance just as easily as a boon. You will watch and observe the fight. Sasuke and Sakura will be the main combatants. You will only assist if absolutely necessary. You will appraise their skill and report back to myself and the council. We need to know the strength of those two, as well as if they are deserving of the rank of Special Jonin. I promised them that rank upon completion of their mission, but I need to make sure they have the strength to back that title up. This will also allow you to include them in future operations if their particular skillset will be a benefit. Questions?"

"What time do we leave?" Was all I asked. Lord Fifth always gave concise, yet detailed missions.

"No later than 0800. Any other questions?" He asked for the final time.

I shook my head. "No, sir. I understand. Track down and engage Kakuzu. Observe and report my findings. Intervene only if necessary. Haku is a non-combatant unless in an emergency. I will personally see to his protection. I guess I do have one question. Am I allowed to engage with Raiga?"

"Yes. Kakuzu is a dangerous opponent. Raiga, however, you can take down by yourself. He is listed as an A-Rank, but everyone knows he relies too much on those Kiba blades. He was known as the weakest of the Seven, and your mastery of lightning will eliminate the only real danger he poses." Lord Fifth explained.

I nodded. "Then I have no further questions."

"One last thing before you leave. I figured this would be a nice surprise to lift you spirits." He tossed me a small, leather-bound black book. "Page 44."

I rifled quickly to the page. My own smiling face greeted me. I looked up and stared at Lord Fifth in confusion. "I've seen my bingo book entry."

"That is latest edition, hot off the press. Re-read your update." He said, a small smile in place.

I did as I was told.

Kenta "Mind-Breaker" Yamanaka

Rank: S-Rank

Age: 17

Height: 6'3'

Weight: 185lbs

Abilities: Dual elemental releases of water and lightning. Possible advanced elemental release combining the two; Information CONFIRMED. Possesses Storm Release. Utilized a powerful S-Rank technique with similar destructive force similar to that of The Particle Style. Poison specialist, slightest contact is lethal without immediate treatment. Advanced Yamanaka Clan techniques. Recreated lost clan techniques. Can directly enter an opponent's mind and destroy their soul, leaving the victim alive but a simple drooling husk. Recreated Shisui of the Body-Flickers fighting style. Extremely agile, speed unmatched by all but a few.

Warning: Opponent is heavily skilled in the art of Psychological Warfare. Turned entire squad against each other before easily picking them off. Do not engage unless assured in self and teammates. Able to take down 2 Jonin and 6 Chunin without a scratch. Do NOT engage lightly. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! DO NOT APPROACH WITHOUT A FULL SQUAD OF JONIN! One on one battles NOT advised.

I read the updated entry. I read it once more.

S-Rank.

I did it…?

"I DID IT!" I screamed out loud, laughing in delight.

"What does it say, Kenta?" Uncle asked curiously.

I thrust the book into his hand, excited energy humming in my veins. Uncle quickly scanned the entry, his smile growing by the second. He quickly handed the book of to grandfather before smothering me in a bone crushing hug.

"First S-Rank Yamanaka in a century. With an appropriate warning label to boot. I'm so proud of you, my boy. Your father is smiling down on you." Uncle said, voice laced with emotion.

I choked up myself. "Thanks, Uncle Inoichi." I mumbled.

Grandfather laughed in delight. "A fine job indeed, young man! You once again bring pride to our clan. I will have a congratulatory party arranged. This calls for a large celebration! Once you return from you mission, we will party all night! S-Rank! Unbelievable! Never in my life did I think one from my clan could do it."

"Well done. But you cannot rest on your laurels. As Genma informed you, that S-Rank will put a target on your back. Most bounty hunters are unskilled, morons. However, a genin can kill a jonin if he's underestimated and lucky. Now get out of my office. I have things do to you, and you have to prepare to lead an unknown team against an S-Rank opponent." Lord Fifth directed.

I bowed low, the smile never leaving my face. "Yes, sir!"

With that, I was gone. I had a lot of people to see before I left.

The loss of my father hurt. It wounded me down to my very essence. However, dwelling on the past would insult his memory. So, I would move on. I would continue to strive towards my goal of raising my clan from the ashes of its former self. I would become ANBU commander and help Naruto lead the village to decades of prosperous peace. My list of goals continued to grow.

However, reaching the first big milestone was definitely worth celebrating. Hopefully grandfather doesn't skimp on the booze!

My first stop though? The Nara compound. I still owed Shikamaru that apology!

And scene!

Another doozy of a chapter, but not as big as last chapter. We finish around 17k words.

I know a lot of people didn't like last chapter, and that's OK. I loved it, and it was needed for Kenta to grow as an adult. Hopefully getting deeper into a less crazy Kenta's mind explained why his meltdown was so dramatic.

New Story Summary!

Title (Tentative) "An OC/SI story doesn't work like they say it does!" (I'm OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS!)

Summary:

Raymond Dare was the Golden Boy at Crestview High School. He was the starting Quarterback for the football team. Starting Point Guard for the basketball team. In short, he was the man the girls wanted, and who the guys wanted to be. Just kidding. Raymond Dare the epitome of average. After a tragic accident sent Ray's spirit to the afterlife, he was given a second chance a life.

Years after waking up in this strange world, Ray quickly realizes his dreams had come true. He was in THE Naruto World! Just like all his favorite Reincarnation Fan Fics! He had the knowledge of the future. He knew what he needed to do to be an OP God. Time to get to training!

His first day at the academy was finally here. He had been "training" for a whole year now. He still didn't know how to use his chakra, but he would learn. Once he unlocked it, he knew exactly what to do to use it perfectly. The initial placement tests had begun. He stared across the arena at his opponent. Internally he did a little dance. Ino Yamanaka was his opponent. He would easily beat this fan girl into the ground. It was his first step to-

Hours later, Ray woke up in the academy infirmary. Ino had knocked him out with a single punch. Ray groaned out loud. Ok, maybe this wouldn't be as easy as he once thought. His life was NOT going to go just like the OC/SI fics he read said they were going to go! Damn those lying authors!
