Chapter 1: Death, Wishes, and Reincarnation

Lionel was just your everyday teenager, waking up early in the morning to prepare for school, having fun with his classmates talking about interesting things, going home early to watch his favorite anime series.

His life was not that interesting but he enjoyed every second of it. So when he opened his eyes to see that there was an old man with a cool white beard and silver hair, he knew that something went wrong.

"Hello there, young man. You must be really confused as to why you're here and I hate to break it up to you but you died." The said old man said to Lionel, looking at his blank face because he was still processing what was happening.

The old man scratched his head embarrassingly, his face was red as he said, "I accidentally drop my lightning on you while you were asleep. You died because of that lightning, not that you could have survived that because it was different from a bolt of normal lightning. I am really sorry so as I compensation I will grant five wishes and reincarnate you into another world."

"Are you Zeus?" Lionel asked the old man. Because he looks really the same as the Zeus he had seen on the movies he had seen. Plus, he fits the description of appearance and the lightning bolt was a bonus.

"Yes, I am Ze- WAIT! You're asking me that?" Zeus nodded but then realized that Lionel asked the wrong question.

"Shouldn't you ask something like 'Am I really dead?' or 'Is this a dream?', why are you asking whether I'm Zeus or not?" Zeus asked.

Lionel stared at Zeus for a while before asking, "Why would I even ask something like that? I won't lose anything if this is real or not."

"How about you're family. I can see that you really love your family. Aren't you sad that you won't be seeing them again?" Lionel's reactions were really out of his expectation. The last one he had 'killed' was actually really excited and couldn't calm down for a few hours.

"Why? You said that you'll give me five wishes so I'll use one to get back to them." Lionel calmly answered.

Zeus sighed upon hearing this, it seems like the young man in front of him had actually thought of doing that. But that can't be done since it is against the rules of the void. If he ever insists on doing that, the young man's soul would end up disintegrating into nothing.

"I can't do that young man, you see, that is against the rules set by the void. We can't bend it no matter how powerful we are. I hope you can understand this but it really can't be done." Zeus apologized to Lionel.

"It's okay Zeus-sama, if it can't be done then there's nothing I can do about it. You can just call me Lionel and I want to ask how they are doing." Lionel accepted what Zeus said. He did not make things difficult for Zeus as he can't do anything about it. Even though he really wants to, he can't.

"Your family are doing fine, even though they were really sad by your death. Your mother finally decided to open up a flower shop just like she always dreamed of and named it after you. Your father has finally retired as police and decided to help your mother run the shop. They will be expecting a baby girl in a few months now and had already come into terms with your death. Your friends have moved on now and even though you are not there anymore, they still remember you and visits your grave at the cemetery every year."

"So they are fine, that's good to hear. The time here is different from the time on Earth?" Lionel asked as he heard Zeus said that his friends would visit his grave every year. He was also happy hearing that his parents won't be left without someone to take care of them and even though he won't be seeing his little sister, he hopes that she will grow up to be a fine young lady.

"Yes. The time in your world moves faster than the time in here, the white room." Zeus explained.

"Ahh…So that explains why it is all white in here." Lionel said in realization upon hearing the name. As they were talking in a white room that seems to have to exit. He even began to wonder how the Zeus dropped a bolt of lightning on him.

"Back to your reincarnation, Lionel-Kun. I can reincarnate you into another world and you can wish for five things you want, though it would have to be within a certain limit." Zeus said.

"Okay, I don't mind the limitations on my wishes, but I will be reincarnated into another world, right Zeus-sama?" Lionel asked.

"Yes." Zeus nodded.

"So does the fictional worlds such as the Harry Potter, MCU, One Piece, Naruto, Coiling Dragon, Tales of Demons and Gods and etc. really exist?"

"Yes, they do exist. They even have multiple alternate worlds because of the different possibilities that could happen."

"So can I reincarnate in the MCU world?"

"No."

"How about Naruto?"

"No."

"My Hero Academia?"

"No."

"Tales of Herdi-"

"Before you ask, you will not be reincarnated to any of those worlds. Your destination has already been set. You will be reincarnated into a fantasy world called Magae, though there might be a time when your strong enough to travel to different worlds."

Lionel was sad when he heard that he will not be able to reincarnate to any of his favorite worlds. But at the thought of his five wishes, he immediately became energetic once again.

"I want to make a wish now, Zeus-sama."

"Okay, go ahead." Zeus nodded.

"For my first wish, I want my family and friends to live a healthy and happy life. For the second wish, I wish to have an affinity for everything. My third wish is to have limitless potential. While my fourth wish is to have an instant mastery of everything. And lastly, my fifth wish is to have creation magic." Lionel said all of his wishes in one breath. It was easy to make a wish since he had been fantasizing about what he would wish if he ever got a chance to choose. Guess he can put to good use those wishes and he even got to wish an extra one.

Zeus nodded at his wishes, "Your first wish will be granted. I can't believe that you can still remember your family even at this moment."

"Of course I would. They were the ones who brought me up and without them, I won't be in this place right now." Though it was mostly your fault I am here, Lionel did not let those words out of his mouth. It might offend Zeus.

"That's a nice attitude Lionel-Kun, I hope you keep on being like that. As for your second wish, I can grant that together with your third wish. Your fourth wish, on the other hand, I would have to degrade it a little bit and make it like you can learn anything faster but not instantly, is that okay with you?" Zeus asked Lionel just to make sure. The last time he gave someone instant mastery, things went completely out of hand.

"Yes, that would be okay. I guess things would have been boring if I have instant mastery." Lionel accepted.

"And for your last wish, I can't grant you the complete creation magic as that is a god's ability. How about a simple version where you will be able to create things based on your imagination, there will be some restrictions but you can lessen them if you become stronger. Is that okay?"

"Yes. That would be great Zeus-sama." Lionel bowed.

"Okay then, are you ready?"

"Yes. And thank you for the wishes."

"Hahaha….I should be thanking you for not hating me for my blunder. I'll be sending you now, I guess in a forest would be a good one."

"That would be helpful Zeus-sama. Suddenly appearing in the middle of a busy street would not be good for me."

"Okay then, of you go." Zeus waved his hand as a brilliant rainbow colored light enveloped Lionel's body. After he was fully covered, his body began to vanish until he completely disappeared.

"I like that kid, I'll give him good luck so he can have an easier life. I should really put a barrier that stops my lightning from entering a world. If I have to do this every time I make a mistake, it would not take long before the whole multiverse goes into chaos."

{Lionel's POV}

After Zeus-sama said that he will be sending me, I was enveloped by a rainbow-colored light which forced me to close my eyes because it was so bright. By the time that I was able to open my eyes, I find myself in a forest.

Though it looks really different from the forest I know, first because the trees are unusually large and the vines that are growing on the ground were as thick as a person's thigh.

Looking around me, it seems like there's no civilization nearby. It was also hard to see from a distance because of the trees. They're really tall also, maybe I can see better if I climb at the top.

As that thought came into mind, I can't get it out of my head as my body had already started climbing on one of the nearby trees. It was not that hard as I have experienced on climbing trees, I seem to have even heard a voice in my head that said, [(Climbing)] something.

It didn't take me long before I reached the top of the tree. I was also lucky that the tree I climbed happens to be the tallest one around me as I looked around me I can see farther than when I'm on the ground, well, that's to be expected.

But I was disappointed as I saw no signs of civilization nearby, guess I'll be staying in this forest for the meantime. I haven't seen any dangerous animals yet but I think that they should exist in the forest, I guess that I am just that lucky to not encounter one.

As I made my way down that tree, I began to take a look around me looking for a cave or someplace I could stay for the meantime. Seeing that there was not a single one, I decided to make my own.

I stared at my hands as I thought of having an ax, I suddenly felt a warm feeling inside my body rushing towards my right hand. My hand then emitted a bright light though not enough to force my eyes to close, an ax then appeared as it gives off a shiny look.

All I have to do is to imagine what I would like and it would just appear on my hands. But there's also something that was decreased from my body, I wonder.

"Status."

||Name|| Lionel Superbia

||Age|| 15

||Race|| Human

||Title|| Reincarnator, The One Without Limits, World's Child

||Level|| 1

||Mana|| 950/1000

||Attributes||

[Power] 10

[Endurance] 10

[Dexterity] 10

[Agility] 10

[Magic] 10

||Skills|| [(All Affinity)] [(Limitless Potential)] [(Quick Comprehension)] [(Creation Magic)] [(Climbing)]

Ah! So I actually have a status. Does that mean I also have a system?

"System?"

Nothing. There was no reply.

So I don't have a system, that's great since I personally think that they're annoying. Though I won't complain if I do have one but this means that in this world, people will be able to see their status.

That makes it easier to keep track of the progress. My attributes are also quite balanced, I wonder if I can see that explanations of my skills.

[(All Affinity)] Posses affinity to everything, this includes the laws of the world, elements, and talents to everything. There will be no limitations to the number of things one would learn.

[(Limitless Potential)] The body has no limit in terms of potential. Will be able to grow stronger without any limitations, the skills do not have many levels and will be just based on the body's attributes. Attributes will be always equal.

[(Quick Comprehension)] Be able to quickly learn anything that the user wants to. The rate of comprehension will depend on the difficulty of what the user wants to learn.

[(Creation Magic)] Be able to create anything as long as one can imagine. Mana would be reduced upon usage the amount will depend on the thing created.

[(Climbing)] The skill to easily climb anything.

Oh, so I can also see their descriptions, though it is already obvious just based on their names. Now, where should I make a temporary base?

Looking around me, anywhere on the ground could be potentially dangerous as I have no idea how strong the animals are in the forest. There might be even some more dangerous than the animals in here, like some magical beast.

This is a fantasy world so I can't use common sense in my world, which means that I should really adapt quickly so that I could survive. First things first, I should really find a place to stay even if it's only for temporarily.

I saw a really good spot to place my temporary base in the meantime. It is on top of a tree, about a few dozen meters above the ground. I figured that since most of the animals will most likely be on the ground, building my temporary base on top should be a good idea.

Time to collect the materials that I will need, not before creating some tools that would be useful. The ax I created earlier cost 50 mana so I guess that other tools should cost at about that range.

So without further ado, I created a lot of nails, a hammer, saw, and other tools which all cost 320, now I only have 630 mana. But as I already recovered a bit, it is now 632.

Moving on, I gathered the materials that I would be needing. By trying to find the best wood to use, my attributes increased. Because of the effect of [(Limitless Potential)] they all increase instead of one attribute increasing.

It only took me about 2 hours to gather all the materials I will be needing. Without rest, since I really don't need one and I have to finish a place to stay for the night, I started building a small 20 square meter house, which should be enough for me right now.

I finished building it after just three hours, there were a lot of mistakes so I have to create the materials needed for it. But overall, I build a good looking house, albeit small but still a house.

I then checked on my status and see my progress for the past five hours, I actually felt that I am getting stronger.

||Name|| Lionel Superbia

||Title|| Reincarnator, The One Without Limits, World's Child

||Level|| 3

||Mana|| 22900/23000

||Attributes||

[Power] 23

[Endurance] 23

[Dexterity] 23

[Agility] 23

[Magic] 23

||Skills|| [(All Affinity)] [(Limitless Potential)] [(Quick Comprehension)] [(Creation Magic)] [(Climbing)] [(Building)] [(Cut)] [(Architecture)] [(Sprint)] [(Pound)]

I can see that I have improved quite a lot, my attributes increase by five every time I level up and the other three were because I was working really hard that I have overexerted myself and exceeded my limits. These woods may look like they're just the same but they are actually hella heavy. I still can't believe that a small branch weighed about a hundred kilos.

I was even forced to create nails made up of a condensed five-kilo iron, I wanted it to be made up of adamantine but it seems like I can't yet create that since it is considered as a godly metal. Heck, even my tools have to be recreated and the lightest one of them is a twenty-kilo knife.

Anyways, since I have already finished building a temporary base, time to sleep.

What? You thought I would be surveying my surroundings like others would? Oh please, I'm mentally tired and need to rest, before I do though, I created all the basic items that I would need. I even created a magically powered refrigerator that cost me 10000 mana, Gosh!

A very soft bed cannot be forgotten as I created the best one I could think of, it cost 10000 also the same as the refrigerator, the remainder of my mana were used to create a few random things that will be useful. After all of that, I drifted to dreamland.

{Lionel's POV end}

The sun had just risen and because Lionel's base was built on top of a tree, the bright light of the sun shone on his face forcing him to wake up.

"Haaaaa~ I should have created thick curtains, the sunlight really hurts in the morning," Lionel said as he got up of his bed. He then looked around him, still not used to his current life from now on.

"I should look around and see if I can find any source of water, if not, then I'll just make my own." Lionel then went out of his base.

Water is always essential to living and surviving inside a forest, since it is really hard to find a source of water, just like in a desert. Though he could always create one, Lionel is not sure how much he can create and he does not want to be overly dependent on his creation magic.

Outside of his base, Lionel can see really far at this height. As he was looking around, something from a distance caught his attention. It was a wagon that looks like it was abandoned for who knows how long, Lionel did not saw it yesterday which proves how tired he was.

"There must be some kind of book there that could help me identify where the hell I am." He then jumped from the trunk he was standing, slowly descending towards another trunk, he jumped from one trunk to another just like the ninjas from a certain anime.

It didn't take him much time before he reached the wagon, seeing it up close, it looks really old that just one touch would make it turn to dust. Lionel carefully approached the wagon, heading at the back of it, he saw that there were three books that are still intact while there were several books that have a part bitten off.

Lionel softly picked the books and was surprised that the words written on the cover were English. He thanked his luck because he thought that it would be Japanese since most of the books he had read about isekai, their language is similar to Japanese.

[]Magea: Things You Need to Know![]

[]The Great War of the Five Races[]

[]Legend of the Seven Heroes[]

"Hmm… Interesting books. This []Magea: Things You Need to Know![] will be really helpful to me. [] The Great War of the Five Races[] on the other hand will also help me on what are the other races in this world. While this []Legend of the Seven Heroes[] screams storybook to me, but I guess I can still find information unto what kind of world is Magea."

Lionel then went back to his base and stored the books in a safe he had created yesterday, keeping the books inside, he went out again. This time, he was holding a sword in his hand and wearing a set of leather armor since he still can't afford to create a full set of plate armor.

This set of armor has a rounded helm with a faceguard shaped in the face of a snake. Attached to the forehead area is a row of small horns. The shoulders are oval, very wide, and fairly small in size. They're decorated with a row of dragon scales, all pointing away from him.

With a light kick, he was once again jumping from one tree to another once again.
