4 Chapter-4: Melty’s Decision
Inside a run in the Reiner mansion there's a man, standing in front of a window alone. The man has serious look in his eyes, that man is Gram Reiner who is in his office.
Gram:so what were you able to discover about the forest?
???:not much master Gram, the paloa forest is just like any other and doesn't seem to have anything in special. And the monsters there don't seem to be stronger than rank E while their weakest are rank I, that's all about there is to see. Does master Gram wish to know about the monsters of that area and their characteristics and abilities?
Gram:right now that won't be necessary. Go on investigating and tell me once you find something noteworthy, your dismissed.
???:yes master Gram.
says the figure in shadows as it disappears.
Gram:my wife is definitely hiding something very important, she wouldn't simply want to make us go to such places for no reason. It might not be dangerous for us but little Rayden is still too young. If she's insisting that much she has to have a good reason. I just pray that nothing happens to us there.
Not long after Rosalia came inside the room with Rayden.
Gram:so are you two ready for our little trip?
Rosalia:of course we are gram gram.
Said Rosalia with a slightly mischievous tone and expression.
Gram:I've told you countless times not to call me that, unless we are in private.
Said gram we a quite embarrassed tone and expression.
Rosalia:see your dad can't be serious around me.hehehe.
Said Rosalia while looking at Rayden and laughing at Gram.
Rayden:pffff.
Rayden was also laughing at his father while wishing he doesn't have to go through this kind of thing in the future.
Gram:if you go on like that my child will never respect me.
Said Gram with a slightly worried expression.
Rosalia:you should relax bit he already respects you a lot.
Rosalia said while looking at how helpless her husband is in this kind of situation.
Gram: well let's just go.
He said with a defeated tone.
Rosalia:yes my love. Let's go my little scholar.
She said with a huge smile on her face.
Rayden:yes mom.
Seriously my mother really loves teasing father, what a pitiful man.well but I do indeed respect him. Even if he's helpless against his wife he's a very competent person.
When we came out of the room we found Melty standing there with her cute serious face, she gets to serious when my parents are close by but who can blame her? It would be a disaster for her family if she did something wrong so I kinda understand but can't help myself cause she looks too cute.
Rayden then goes to her and starts petting her while saying something quite embarrassing.
Rayden:who's the cutest wolf girl in the world?
He said this in playful and gentle tone that makes Melty immediately react.
Melty: I am, I am, I am!!!!
Melty starts shouting with a very happy tone and face but then immediately realizes where she is and stars blushing while apologizing.
Melty: Mistress Reiner I'm extremely sorry this will never happen again.
She said with a worried face, unable to regain her composure.
Rosalia:hehehe. No need to be sorry it's good to see Your so fond of my child. You'll be serving him for the rest of your life after all or at least until he finds a wife that believes your services are no longer needed so no need to be so shy my son was the one who started it after all.
She while laughing with a huge smile on her face.
Melty: of c-course mistress Reiner.
She said in a hurried and apologetic way. But was happy to know she could spend all that time with Rayden. After all he picked her when choosing a personal maid and that helped both her a lot since if not for that she would still be serving Lilly Reiner one of Rayden's brothers known for being an evil young master, her life while serving him was miserable and she's extremely thankful to Rayden for saving her from that life. After all she's only 8 years old but was trained from a very young age to serve as a maid, so now that she found such a great young master of course she wants to stay with him. Never in her life has she been as well treated as she has after becoming Rayden's personal maid, since she was separated from her family long ago and turned into a slave that after going from master to master ended up with the Reiner family and became Lilly's servant for quite a good time, as she was about to lose hope of ever having a good life or at least acceptable, she got chosen by Rayden to be his personal maid since like seemed to have gone bored of her(and please don't get it the wrong way it's torture and not other things, as for Melty's background story later in a future chapter it will be revealed). And this is basically how she became the personal maid of Rayden.
Rosalia:but if you want you can become my child's woman yourself you'll have to hard real hard.
She said it with a mischievous smile. That she usually has when she teases her husband but with a very serious look in her eyes, one can easily see she's not just playing around.
Melty: I-I-I would ne-never have such thoughts Mistress Reiner.
Rosalia:oh well then if that's the case I'll have to find another young girl that's willing to take care of my little scholar with all her being mind and heart.
She said that, gave one last glance at Melty then started walking.
Even tho Melty is just a kid she knew that if she doesn't give her all Mistress Reiner will never allow her to become Reiner's wife, which she herself hasn't realized yet is one of her greatest desires. And so not knowing why a flame started burning inside her while deciding to give her all for him.
Melty: I'll give my all and even what I don't have and will make him marry me.
When she realized what she said she started blushing heavily while hiding her face.
Rayden: Make who marry you?
Said Rayden in a curious tone even tho he understands full well what just happened here and is only teasing her a little more.
When Melty heard his voice it was like the world around her stopped as her face becames redder then a tomato and steam starts coming out of her face, in the end she tried to answer but fainted before she could.
Rayden:ahahaha, I guess I went a little overboard never thought she would actually faint. Well I better call someone to take her.
Said Rayden while at how shy Melty is and also surprised at how much she likes him well he will solve that later for now he has to focus on learning all about this world.
