12 Chapter 12:Gram’s plan

In a fully white room there are three people one who seems to be sleeping and two other are a girl running in the direction of a boy ready to hug him. They were obviously Gram, Melty and Rayden.

Then suddenly the Rayden got kicked in his face by Gram and it was really hard.

Gram:I would like to say that felt nice but you have my son's appearance now so it wouldn't sound right.

Gram said with a serious expression and tone.

Melty:Master Gram what did you do? It's Rayden!!!

She said said shocked by what just happened in front of her also considering all that happened to her till now she's definitely not okay.

Gram:this guy is a shapeshifting demon they are really dangerous as they can turn into someone you wish to see with all your heart to trick you and suck your life force.

He said still serious.

Melty didn't say anything she can't take anything anymore, she simply let herself sit on the floor with a deadpan expression.

Demon(in Rayden appearance):your quite sharp for someone who was crazy and had given up some time ago.

It said with a weird smile.

Gram:well I was about to finish you of but I can live it to these guys.

Gram said with his usual smile that he hasn't done in quite some time.

When the demon was about to ask what is Gram talking about it got cut in half by a greatsword.

Gram:what made you take so long I was getting inpatient with the situation only worsening.

He said with his serious expression and tone. This was directed to a man dressed in knight attire, the same the knights that were with Eliot Evens were wearing this is the typical equipment of the Reiner knights.

Reiner Knight:I'm truly sorry master Reiner we had some problems finding this room in between the numerous rooms present in this temple.

He said in a respectful tone and expression while kneeling with the other knights behind him doing the same.

Gram:well the important part is that your here, did you find the dungeon room?

He asked while pondering something.

Reiner knight:yes we did, we also didn't find any of those Ancient High Humans in our way here.

He said still kneeling.

Gram:they must be preparing that ritual that guy talked about while I was pretending to be unconscious.

He said while he was still pondering.

Melty who heard all the interaction could only cry but for the first time in a while it was of happiness but she is still in a very frail and weak mental state so she decided not to think about anything else besides finding the others and getting out of this place.

Gram:since it's like this we have to go get those two, who's inside the dungeon room with them right now?

Reiner Knight:right now with them is Commander Evans's squad.

Gram:this is not good knowing him this is going to end up with him dead least head there immediately.

As he said so he thought of his wife and child he wants to go to them right now but he knows it's not a good idea to simply do that without insurance everything will work out and what better insurance them those two.

It all started when Gram was exhausted in the dungeon room, he couldn't move but was still conscious and waiting to recover when that Ancient High Human came in and started making noise with his nonsense but at least proved that Rosalia and Rayden were ok, then Gram decided to use this situation as an opportunity when he discovered they were concentrated in preparing a ritual so he used a special magic of the Reiner family to call the Reiner Knights explaining the situation but he also knew that they were being observed so he pretended to have gone crazy and despaired to divert their attention, he knew it worked when they sent a demon to check on them instead of an Ancient High Human meaning they were no longer considered a threat, and thankfully he received answers from the knights saying they will be there any minute as the traps the Ancient High Humans were deactivated to power whatever ritual they were trying to make and that was going to be their downfall.

(Gram's POV)

Then we went to the dungeon room with no obstructions as it seems their defenses are all out because of the ritual thing.

We didn't take too long to find the teleportation device, and went inside I was disappointed I didn't notice this when I was here before but there seems to be some kind of illusionary magic here that hides the teleportation device in between the rocks but I couldn't detect it, well no use in thinking about it now we all go in while Melty has been holding onto me not letting go for a second, Poor child most be way way harder for her.

When I'm passing all present knights start bowing to me in respect, so we just advance and take some supplies form the knights camp I give food to Melty who devours it almost instantly it's only expected of a Beast girl who didn't eat for this long. We took from 2-4 hours to reach the other cave just like before when we enter the cave the scene we find is not a pretty one.

Inside the cave there are 3 people two women one with a voluptuous body and a horn on her head that is now licking her fingers that are covered in blood with a evil smile while the other looks to be a young girl with a halo over her head and is just standing there expressionless. The third person is on the floor covered in a huge puddle of blood.

Gram:maybe we are a little too late.

Gram said with a wryly smile on his face.

While Melty simply hid her face as she covered her eyes and the other knights in total chock from seeing a Commander in such state while the others don't have a single scratch on them.

Gram:so this is your true form you look very different from what I thought but it's not the time for that, you two can you help me?

He said very serious.

Emalia:and what would I gain from helping a.... whatever you are?

She said not sure what or who she's talking to.

Belum:I also don't see any reason to help you weird being, you look like Ancient High Humans But your not one. Just what are you?

She said with her expressionless face but sounded interested in the end.

Gram:well you get to know who I am, who you are, what happened to you and where you are.

He said with confidence and determination.

Emalia:And what makes you think I can't just take that information from you or your friend if I feel like it.

Gram:that's because first I'm the only one that knows the answer and second I have powerful magic on me to make sure nobody can access that information.

Emalia smiled at the answer and tried using her powers but they didn't have any effect which deeply chocked her and made her smile even wider.

Emalia:I like it, ok I'll help you for the time being but don't get any funny ideas on betrayal or you'll regret it.

She said with another of her dangerous smiles.

Belum:well I'm not really tasked with anything currently so I guess I do have time for this favor of yours as long as it is within reasonable means.

She said with the usual expressionless face.

Gram:great let us go.

I said as I guided them to the exist, I also told them to take care of Evens.

So we went for another 4 hours walk where Melty was carried and Is now asleep while we go, to my surprise these two don't seem to want to cause any trouble especially Emalia who's name as human is Luna and Belum who's name was Eline as a human.

We passed through all the knights they were again bowing and after passing through them all I said.

Gram:we are now going to take down the Ancient High Humans!!!

All of them:YEAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

Both Belum and Emalia thought that this was too much of a simple task and a waste but since they would be rewarded they after they didn't really care and simply followed the flow.

We left the dungeon room all together heading to the main room of course i asked Belum where it was and she said all of the Ancient High Humans seems to be in one place which made it easier for us to get rid of them.

So we went on marching to the room where all Ancient High Humans were right now and the moment we got there I opened the door and all of them looked at us surprised to see us all until one spoke.

Ancient High Humans:I really never thought you would get here like this and I also am surprised by your little 'reinforcement' is it? Well it really doesn't matter anymore as your already destined to be our sacrifice for the greater good of this world.

He said while very confident of what he's saying.

Gram:do you realize who's by my side?

I asked trying to make sure if this guy doesn't have any tricks.

Ancient High Humans:I'm Kalius ONIRINUS the ruler of-

Before he could finish his sentence he got sucked in by Emalia that right after absorbed every Ancient High Human in the room before they could do anything.

Gram:why was he so confident if you could just do that?

I asked confused by what just happened just like everyone else except Belum.

Emalia:well he was probably counting with the mana blocking device and anti-magic measurements they have.

She said like if it was nothing.

Gram:so how did you do this? Did it not affect you or something like that.

I asked because this was just so easy it destroyed the whole tension.

Emalia:it's a natural ability of my race not magic, so all this so called counter-measurements were useless against it.

She said super relaxed.

Gram:I will explain later sorry, BRE———-HANU————LENILIS.

I said a little sad.

After I said that a strong light enveloped the girls and they started reverting back to their human appearances.

Gram:carry them, I'll go look for my wife and son.

They started doing as I say while I headed dipper into this place and in the end of it I found a huge machine with some giant tubes with Rayden and Rosalia inside. I immediately rush to them and break the tubes to free them with knuckles I got from the knights.

Rosalia:*cough*, *cough*, *cough*!!

Rayden:*cough*, *cough*, *cough*, *cough*, *cough*, *cough*!!!

They cough out a quite big quantity of that green liquid in the tubes. I immediately hug them both real tight not even giving them time to realize what just happened but not caring both just hug me back and we stayed like for a very long time without saying a word.

When we separated they both apologized but I said this talk would have to be for later for now let's go back home.

Then we leave the temple, after a great deal of walking and traveling we reached our carriage, I seriously couldn't be happier to see that carriage then we boarded it.

I think that if we were a normal family we would have simply gone back home but we decided to actually still go to paloa forest for our picnic and it was actually pretty nice even tho we ate supplies food from the knights but it was more for the family time and the scenery.

All of us Rosalia, Rayden, Melty, Eline, Luna and me we all had a simple and nice family picnic. After some hours of family fun we went back home this Might not have been the best or the perfect family trip but after this one I'm sure we are all more united now.
