Venerean Terrain

While the energy felt hostile, it also felt like home. He thought of himself as a decent man but with a violent nature. He'd fit right in, in the new world if the system wasn't tasked to limit him.

After sucking the flowers dry, he got up from the river bank, "that was surpisingly fulfilling. Now then, let's get out of here?"

Walking around his hell, the creatures now slightly bowed their heads when he passed. It was the most strange and fulfilling feeling. Even the trees made gut wrenching sounds as he passed.

"Is it me or these monsters are suddenly docile now? And have I grown taller? No way I'm a 5 year old brat."

[They're called sins by the way.]

"So?" Levi could care less what they were called, the only thing he cared about was surviving.

[Aren't you interested in the history at all, Master? Most of these are created from a great concentration of Gi in one place. Some turn into sins when they are corrupted and go insane from Gi. While their insanity is directly linked to the deadly sins, nobody knows what triggers such drastic changes...]

"Why would I care about something so useless? You should be giving me cheat codes to breeze through this world. I've read novels in my past you know..." He went on about this for quite some time.

The systems in the novels he read were tsun tsun but they helped the main characters a lot. Giving them boosts for missions completed—while the only reward he had here with the saint system was his life.

[I can't do that, but you'll have to know these creatures and their ranks.]

Anybody else would've taken that as a no, but to Levi, this meant there were cheat codes but the system wasn't willing to give them to him. Now he had two immediate goals, closing his mind off and hacking the system.

"They're called deadly sins even here?" He asked trying to divert the attention to this instead of what he was really thinking about.

[Cardinal. I was just using a terminology you're likely used to. It's not known why Gi creates these monster-like creatures but it does.]

Levi had been in the core of this universal energy, he wasn't surprised that it was capable of turning people into monsters.

"You know saint system, you're very good at giving me the useless information. It'd be more useful to tell me who my godly parent is."

[Even I don't know that.]

The system didn't seem to be lying about that so he let it go.

"What measures do they take to ensure people don't turn into monsters?" He was now curious about the world he was reborn in.

[There are academies all around the world, teaching kids as young as seven to control their emotions and whatnot.]

He groaned. Remembering his own school life back on earth. Levi swore then that he would never go to any school, even in this world. He much rather went insane.

"So what sets them apart, sins I mean." He changed the subject not wanting to think about that life because it would just make him more angry.

[Thought you'd never ask! The ones born from Gi are regular ones you see all around you, they come in all shapes, sizes and species. The ones you should be wary of are the ones who are corrupted and turn from insanity, as they still have their sentience. They're ranked by the number of horns...]

Their conversation was cut short by a horrible storm that was brewing. Lightning and thunder started to fall from the sky.

It was nothing he'd ever seen before. It looked like rain but in the form of lightning, the already dark clouds carried something more sinister than darkness or lightning.

Liquid fell from the sky, touching Levi's head, he screamed in agony.

"Is that, acid? If I knew better I'd say my godly parent is trying to kill me. What did I even do to him. Fuck."

He bolted the other direction trying to avoid getting rained on while this worked for a while it was useless. The faster Levi went, the acid rain seemed to match his speed exactly.

The acid rain was falling faster than he could heal himself. In just under a minute he was turned into slimy mush.

Funnily enough, his clothing remained unscathed.

When he came to he was lying on a surface that was scorching hot. Opening his eyes, he was surrounded by mountains of active volcanoes. It was just black and orange.

He tried getting up to his feet but it was impossible, as if something was holding him down or he was glued on the floor.

'What the hell?'

The fact that his voice wasn't working lead him to conclude that he was within his Hub. Why it looked like this in a span of a few years was anybody's guess.

[Don't panic master, this is your Hub. It seems the flower you absorbed accompanied with your fear of having your territory invaded, a harsh terrain like was created.]

'I created this with my unconscious mind? It would be great if it wasn't hostile to me too.'

[It's not, the gravity seems to be a hundred times more than your old worlds. And about fifty times more than Ancieru. This must've been a traumatic experience for you to create something so harsh.]

"Shut up!" His voice abruptly sounded.

Looking around he was no longer in his Hub. The years for hibernation long passed. He was breathing heavily and sweating profusely as he zeroed in on a skeleton just a distance away.

"Wh-what the hell is that?" It wasn't fear that made him stutter.

He'd just came from an environment he wasn't used to. Levi wasn't sure how long it would take to get used to his own territory, as much as the system told he was in control—that didn't seem to be entirely the case since he couldn't change the horrid world within him.

[You're awake Master. Welcome to your new home.]

Come on. Vote for the book is it can be high up in rankings. Power stones, all of them. :)
