Like a Father

Days were stretched into weeks, along with their progress of making water pumps. They made three, the third one was personally asked for by the baron. The other one was close to their house but not close enough that their privacy would be compromised.

In those weeks, they had their best harvest yet. With water so close by, bugs and birds being taken care of by things that could be there all the time without rest gave them their best crops.

After the harvest Levi had to teach Ryan and Lucy how to take care of the soil to keep it good for planting again. He'd helped them so much, they didn't question the compost he started to make.

With all the time given by these new inventions, Ryan had more time to sharpen his sword and skills with Levi there he was being reminded of his best youth days.
