Chapter 16:Endangered Slimes

Although Nōkon didn't have anything with her sister's scent on it, it would have been already taken away when she was captured. Because of this, we had to wait until we gotten to Mournstead before searching for Nōkon's sister.

Since the only one showing an emotional insatiable that I can use is the male guard that's was also slashing trees in the forest like Nōkon, Eva and me decide to wait for an opening we could use. The reason why I didn't want to go with Eva's plan of just using money and power to get them on my side was it wouldn't make them loyal to me. Although a slave crest could stop them from betraying me, it's not a full proof plan since they could use round about whys of betraying me.

Having nothing to do now and being someone who stayed up all night playing games, I thought about what I should do next.

Not having the patients of spying on someone all night and because Eva could do this for me since she access Inner World sense, getting information on the others was definitely off the table.

Remember that there was a mission function, I checked if there's any mission I could do. To my disappointment, the only mission I have are killing monster and getting to level 25, getting 2 harem members, getting all my stats to 250, and having sex with one of my slaves.

Shomei:Hey Eva, If I made the slimes or Goblins to kill monsters for me. Does it still count towards mission?

Eva:Yes, all your slave's kills will count towards the mission. Please do note that the User will gain less Xp when farther from the kill.

Shomei:Eh, good enough. Now how do I evolve my Goblins?

Eva:Kinda like humans, certain monsters are able to choose a class or evolution once they reach a certain level. Goblins can choose a class or evolution once they're level 25, afterwards the Goblin will be able to select a class or evolution before falling asleep and waking up as what they selected. Note that unlike normal people, the User can choose the class or evolution of your monsters because of the slave crest and me. I recommend the User use this to the fullest and choose a good class or evolution for your monsters.

Shomei:The class or evolution are determined by what skills, abilities, affinity, and what they've done right?

Eva:Yes.

Shomei:Can I hold my monster from getting a class or evolution?

Eva:Yes, although monsters don't do this, some humans do this to get a good class. Please note that if you do this, they won't be able to level up any further.

Shomei:Good. Are there stronger variants of a monster? Like a red, blue or black Goblins.

Eva:Yes, their is a variant line for Goblins.

Shomei:Variant line?

Eva:Unlike most monster who can become a variant monster, Goblins are some of the rare monsters who have a whole line for their variant. The Goblins variant lines goes from Rare Goblin(Red Skin), Noble Goblin(Blue Skin), Duke/Duchess Goblin(Grey Skin), Goblin King/Queen(Dark Grey Skin), and Goblin Emperor/Empress(Black). Although the Goblin's variant line is powerful, they'll still forever be Goblins. I recommend the User stop at Duke Goblins before going with the Goblin's normal evolution line.

Shomei:Ok, I'll do that then. Now, Is they're any way to increase the chance for a variant?

Eva:Increase the stats of a monster... just make sure put a slave crest on the monsters you do this to, just in case.

Shomei:Ok.

Taking the Goblins out into the outside world, I took them into the forest outside Appleby to hunt.

Since Goblins haven't done anything days from being trapped in the merchant's basement for who knows how long, they were every happy to be able to go outside.

Before we went hunting, I Increase the Goblin's stats by giving them [E. Lvl:3 Enhanced Physique], [E. Lvl:3 Enhanced Strength], [B. Lvl:1 Damage Resistance], [E. Lvl:3 Enhanced Speed], and [B+. Lvl:1 Mana Body]. Although I did give both Goblins [B+. Lvl:1 Mana Body], I didn't know if they would actually make use if it since I didn't know if they wanted to become mages. Although I am selecting what evolution my monsters get, I'll never select their class under normal circumstances. I did this because I didn't want to force them into a class they didn't like and therefore wouldn't train as hard for it.

Since both Goblins were girls and didn't have an idea of what class or even a weapon they'll choose, I made almost every type of weapon I knew that wasn't a firearm and let the Goblins select whatever weapon they wanted. I also told them that they could choose again if they wanted to.

After somewhat looking through the weapons I made, one of the Goblin chosed a spear while the other one chosed a sword and shield.

Having selected their weapons, I gave them both leather armor before taking them to a nearby monster. The monster was just a big tusked boar, had somewhat lower stats than Goblins, and is currently eating some berries off a bush.

Once I told them to kill the boar, both Goblins stupidly gave out a war cry and rush toward the boar.

Hearing both Goblins coming towards it, the boar stops eating its berries and turns around. Seeing the Goblins coming towards it, the boar prepares to charge to the Goblin holding the spear.

Afraid, the spear Goblin just closes her eyes and lunges her spear forward before getting knocked back by the force of the boar's charge.

After waiting for the boar to attack, the Goblin opens her eyes to a dead boar with a spear through its head.

Shomei:...

Eva:... At lease she killed the boar. Although saying that, the User should give them [B-. Lvl:1 Enhanced Intelligence] like you did with the slimes.

Shomei:Yeah I'll do that... maybe I can get someone to train them as well. Although they're aren't any spear users, two of the male guards are knights and can teach one of the Goblins.

After two hours of hunting, I taught the Goblins simple strategies; being quite and getting close to a target for a sneak attack, attacking a target's vitals, dodging incoming attacks, and using a shield to fend off a target while the other attacks.

Although we spent two hours hunting, even with me not taking any of the Xp, both Goblins only level up to level 6.

During the two hours hunting, I captured 16 more slimes. After making the slave crest liquid and reading about the slave crest in the research books just in case, I put slave crest on all of the captured slimes before sending them into my Inner World. Although historians will never now this, this was the beginning of how slimes started becoming an endangered species in this world.
