19 19. A Brief Talk With The Fiance

Cassian smiled as he was able to use the Charm spell on her without the others noticing as he watched her as the spell took effect. She is blushing a bit and she seems to be a bit dazed as she is looking at him.

Seeing that the spell worked he straightened his back and sat on his couch comfortably as Leah looked at him with a smile. Her father watched the two of them and came to a decision as he looked at their guest.

"Now, what do you think about talking with my daughter more privately while the food is being prepared." Aron said to him seriously.

Amaria looked at her father in surprise while Catia just smiled as this was normal for nobles like themselves. Leah seemed quite eager to talk with him when she heard that as she looked at her father with a smile.

"That would be quite good lord Aron. Being able to learn more about my fiancee would surely be of use to me considering the short time I'm going to be spending here." Cassian said to him with a nod and a curt smile.

"What about you Leah?" Aron asked his younger daughter as she looked at him.

"I would love to talk with him father." Leah said to him with a smile on her face.

"That is good. Then please go to the balcony. I'm sure it will provide a great view and allow you to talk without much hindrance." Aron said to them as he gestured to the balcony.

"Of course Lord." Cassian said as he slowly stood up.

Leah also stood up with a smile while her sister watched her and then him with narrowed eyes. Then the two of them went to the balcony while the others watched them leave.

"It seems that Leah has taken a liking to him." Catia said to her husband as they had went to the balcony and closed the door so they can't hear them.

"It looks like it. Though I can't say that I'm surprised. He is a good looking young man and has the manners and dignity of a noble. I can say that this arrangement might be much better than I had initially thought it would be." Aron said with a smile as he saw the development.

Amaria meanwhile looked at the balcony in suspicion before she looked at Caitlin. Said maid has her eyes looking down as she is nervous to be in the presence of other nobles aside from the Lancasters.

She felt Amaria's gaze as she took a peek and immediately looked down when she saw the inquisitive and questioning look on the sisters face. She didn't think she'd had the courage to look at the noble woman in the eyes for any amount of time.

'Calm down Caitlin. You are the maid that was chosen by Master, you can't be so nervous. Just don't look straight at them and keep your eyes down and mind your own words.' Caitlin thought to herself as she stood in her place.

At the same time Cassian and Leah had went to the balcony and stood there as they watched the garden of the Arundell family. Cassian was impressed by it as he likes to see beautiful flowers from time to time while Leah would glance at him and at the garden.

After a few seconds he turned to look at Leah as she jumped a bit and looked at the garden with a blush on her face.

"So, I'm sure that you are nervous about this. Don't worry, I am also nervous about this as well." Cassian said with a smile on his face.

"Really?" Leah said surprised as she looked at him.

"Of course, this is the first time I'm meeting my own fiance in person so I am a bit nervous about it." Cassian said to her with a charming smile.

Leah blushed when she saw his smile as she looked down as he internally smirked. His thoughts confirmed that this girl in front of him doesn't have much experience around boys her age.

'This will work for me.' Cassian thought to himself as he looked at her.

"So tell me, do you have any hobbies?" Cassian asked her with a smile.

"Hobbies? Well, I know some dancing which I love to do and I know how to sing as well." Leah said as she blushed while she smiled at him.

"I see. And as for myself, I like to train my body and learn more martial arts." Cassian said to her with a smile.

"You know how to fight?" Leah asked a bit surprised.

"Of course. Why did you say that as if it were a surprise?" Cassian asked her with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, I don't wish to be rude but I have met with other nobles before but they do not know how to fight. So I am surprised to learn that you can fight." Leah said as she looked at him.

"I see. Hmm, why don't I show you how strong I am? Grab onto my forearm." Cassian said before he raised his left arm and held it straight.

Leah looked at him in confusion before at his arm as she then grabbed onto it. He then raised his arm and Leah let out a silent sqeak when she was picked off of the floor as she dangled on his left arm as he smiled at her.

'He's so strong. He was able to pull me up so easily, and he doesn't even seem to be straining himself.' Leah thought to herself as she was surprised by his strength.

After a few seconds he lowered his arm as it allowed her to stand on the balcony again as she let go of his arm. She looked at him in amazement as he looked at her with a smile as she blushed and felt her heart beat faster.

"You are very beautiful, Leah. I am glad to have you as my fiance." Cassian said in a charming voice as he smiled at her.

"Ah well, I am also very fortunate to have you as my fiance as well." Leah said with a smile though she is blushing and her heart is beating faster.

"I'm glad to hear that." Cassian said as he stepped a bit closer to her.

Leah looked at him as he took the step as she felt drawn. This is also in part of the Charm spell alongside his Pheromone skill which he is able to use due to being alone with her right now. And the former is causing her to feel attracted to him much more than before.

So with both of these factors alongside how Cassian is using his words and his face to lul her into a sense of security. She moved towards him as well, but then he picked up the noise of footsteps as he looked at the door and quickly turned Leah to face the garden and he also looked at the garden as the young girl was confused.

The door was opened and Amaria appeared as she looked at them as the two of them looked at her in surprise, though Cassian was faking it as he looked at her.

"Oh, Amaria, what might be the reason as to why you suddenly came here?" Cassian asked her politely with a smile.

"I just wanted to talk with you. Since you are going to be my brother-in-law, I wanted to know a bit more about you. It is my duty as her sister after all." Amaria said after a few seconds with a smile on her face.

'So she wants to make sure that I don't do anything suspicious to her sister. No matter, I can deal with that as well.' Cassian thought to himself as he smiled at her.

"Of course, why don't you join us in our conversation?" Cassian said to her with a smile.

He used the Charm spell again and with his smile as well as she blushed at his smile. But she quickly recovered herself and looked at him while he kept his smile at her.

'Oh this isn't bad at all.' Cassian thought to himself confidently as he looked at the two sisters.
