1 The Darkness

Author note: look at the auxiliary chapter for needed information about the book. Also if there is anything wrong I will try to fix it but I am only writing this book as a hobby so don't expect me to fix it immediately.

"(Yawn) what... where am I?" Said John looking around to see only the infinite darkness that surrounded him. It seemingly went on forever.

"The f*** happened to me? Why am I here?"

John continued as he tried to stand up before realising he had no body yet he had hands. When he saw that he had no body he was strangely calm... almost as if he had been born this way.

After an indeterminate amount of time John saw something. Although he could not make out what it was exactly he knew it was rectangular. After a while he saw that the thing was slowly approaching him.

"Oh so you're approaching me?"

John snickered as he said it.

Ever so slowly, the rectangular object began to make its way to him. John began to feel scared.

'What if it's going to erase me?'

Thought John as he started to back away with no success. He had this feeling like he wasn't supposed to be here from the start and felt like he was about to meet his maker.

As the thing crept into view, John could see that it was his zbox! As the zbox stopped in front of him he could finally have a good look at it. The further he inspected it the more he realised how broken it was. The zbox had more scratches than he could count and the black paint it had was almost completely gone. The zbox was silver. So silver in fact that it almost looked like it was a limited edition zbox if not for the scratches.

The worst part about it though was the fan. John remembered that the zbox would over heat if he played on it too long.

As soon as he touched the console to get a better look, a light with the brightness of the sun and the size of a mountain appeared and made John fall unconscious while swallowing him whole.

Soon after the light faded. John gradually became more... whole. The zbox began to melt and attach itself to John. John was completely oblivious to this as he was unconscious. Soon after it reached his hands it began to construct a body around them as he seemed to have tangible hands.

As soon as it was nearing the edge of his wrists where the hands ended, it began to create arms very quickly out of itself. It then began the process of creating his torso. The black ink like substance then started to cover what John was.

Soon after it had finished creating the body it began the process of creating his organs. The vital organs such as his heart, brain and stomach were constructed before organs such as the liver. One of the only significant differences between his organs and others was that his were jet black and seemed more like something an A.I. (Artificial intelligence) would have. The other thing someone would notice however is the hole in the side of his head. The hole was connected to a tunnel. This tunnel connected to every single one of Johns' organs. It also had a cover that was the same colour as his skin. The cover was open. These are things that normal humans should not have.

Once Johns' body was completed. Johns' skin slowly turned pale before his body dissolved completely.

Nothing was left in the empty void afterwards.
