1 Chapter 1: The End

"Eeeeeeeeeeeee!" A feminine shriek could be heard across Japan, "I captured Prince Aiden!"

My sister continued to holler as I glanced up from my breakfast, at her, peeved that the thoughtful silence was shattered.

"Shut up…" I muttered groggily, blinking sluggishly at her.

"No! You're just jealous you don't have friends, let alone a love life!" My younger sister quipped, slicing my ego with just a few words.

Okay. Ouch, burn.

Alas, regrettably what she said was true. People found me awkward and my less-than-average looks did not help either.

"I'm going for a run." I rapidly cut in before she added anymore words that would leave permanent scars towards my self-esteem. She snickered and continued to play her otome game. I sighed woefully and headed outside.

I had run for twenty minutes and was preparing to go back when the air shivered. The birds twittered anxiously and soared back into the cloud's extended arms.

Huh?

Then I felt it.

The deep rumbling of the earth and the trees and buildings before my eyes blurred. The earth tossed me recklessly onto the ground and my knees scraped across the concrete path. Instinctively, my arms caught myself before I did any harm to my body and I found myself staring at the grey, cloudy sky.

A grey cloudy sky which also happened to have a skyscraper toppling over.

"Heh heh… This is such a realistic dream…" I murmured vaguely.

But you are not supposed to feel pain in dreams.

The glass scattered from the skyscraper and gravity dragged the glass shards towards me. Glass pierced my skin and scarlet liquid blossomed from the cuts.

"So, it's not a dream." I smiled bitterly.

~~~~~~~~~~
After a few torturing seconds, the pain disappeared.
Huh?
I opened my eyes and glanced at my body. Miraculously, it was left unscarred or marked. What was going on?
"Rise and Shine, Young Master." A pleasant voice chirped on the other side of the door. As their footsteps pattered away from me, I glanced away from the ceiling and surveyed my surroundings. A spacious room with a huge bed, ebony study table and a large oak staff in the corner of the room.
Hm…
I was obviously dreaming.
I crawled out of bed and the bed groaned in complaint. As I passed the mirror, I caught a glimpse of a pearly silver flash of light. I backtracked and stared at the mirror. My former gruesome face was no more, instead, azure, almond eyes with inhumanly long eyelashes gazed back. Short strands of silver hair glistened, and my tanned, dry skin was now smooth and fair. This person looked familiar…
Wait.
This was Grayson from my sister's otome game!
