Hagraven Cravin'

Galeron was no longer mystified by his current predicament and began attempting to get ahead in what he assumed would be another life in another world. He started with something that would normally be quite difficult for most people but, due to his unusual circumstance, it was much more manageable.

Empty Mind meditation requires one to completely rid their mind of any and all thoughts. Normally, this would require years of practice but because he was lacking any external stimulus to distract him it didn't take him long.

With his mind empty of all thoughts, he stayed in that dark, still, and silent state for an indeterminate amount of time. He wasn't focused on the passage of time and he had no way to do so even if he tried. All he knew was that at some point he was thrust into this sensationless environment, at some point he emptied his mind, and at some point the first sensation of his new life emerged.

Galeron couldn't readily identify whatever the sensation was but he suspected that, due to him still developing as a fetus, he wouldn't be able to recognize anything going on, until he was more developed.

In his past life, there were plenty of different types of meditation both real and fictional. Some of those methods included breathing meditation and energy manipulation meditation. He decided that, since he had plenty of time, he would develop a separate meditation for this new sensation. He would utilize and analyze this new sensation as best he could, to allow his mind to actively mimic all of its behaviors and characteristics.

After fully immersing himself in his newly acquired sensation, he continued to meditate on it, while also switching back to his empty mind meditation from time to time. He continued with both of these meditations, until another sensation revealed itself to his consciousness.

One by one, Galeron acquired sensation after sensation, while developing meditations specifically for each one. After developing a new meditation, he would then integrate it into his rotation of various meditations, including his empty mind meditation.

As his body continued to develop, many of his sensations would be altered and expanded. As his awareness and understanding steadily grew, he was eventually able to put names to his various sensations.

Not too long after developing a complete nervous and circulatory system, he began to feel a unique sensation that didn't seem to correspond to his physical body. It was strange, because he had the distinct impression that it belonged to him but it didn't seem to move or show any of the signs of activity that his other sensations did. This new sensation gave him the distinct impression of being still and deep. It seemed potent and powerful, yet seemingly inert at the same time.

Galeron excitedly began his investigation into this new sensation, hoping that it was what he thought it was. He wasn't certain that he'd be able to do anything with it at the moment but, if it really was some kind of magical force, then he was certain that keeping it active would be more beneficial than letting it stagnate. Galeron gently probed his new mystery and found it receptive to his mental touch. It seemed to ripple slightly and so he continued to probe it further.

Galeron spent quite a while probing his mystery force, before attempting to grasp hold of it and alter its shape. After meeting some small success in his attempts to reshape it temporarily, he then attempted to send his entire consciousness into it and enter his empty mind state while merged with it. Once he accomplished this, he found that his normal empty mind state was not so empty. He now seemed to have unlocked some type of vision despite still not having ever opened his eyes.

Galeron looked around and couldn't see much but what he could see was mostly a dense solid pale blue fog that seemed to completely surround him. This fog would shift and ripple, as if it were a body of water or more appropriately jello, and it had multiple thicker strands of white fog flowing through it in different directions. He then shifted his focus to himself and noticed a spherical congealing of the white fog that seemed to be the mystery force that he had merged his consciousness with.

After witnessing all of this, he was absolutely certain that he had lucked out and landed his ultra lucky ass into a magical Universe of some sort. He tried his best to suppress his excitement as he still had plenty of meditation left to do and nothing was actually confirmed at this point but he couldn't help throwing himself a little party in his head for just a bit. Despite feeling quite giddy after his new discovery, he soon resumed his investigation of his presumed magic and integrated it into his meditation rotation.

As Galeron continued his meditations for another indeterminate amount of time, his ability to perceive the pale blue fog and the white congealed fog eventually became sharper and more detailed. He could now fully distinguish what he was calling his magic core from others. He could now perceive his mother's magic core and even the core of others near her if they got close enough. He could also see different colored strands of magic. Some of the colors were strands flowing like the white ones, while others took many unique shapes, usually only when close to a magic core. He suspected that what he was witnessing were acts of magic being manipulated and activated but to his vision it only appeared as different colors and shapes. His hope was that the more he used his magical vision the more detailed information he would be able to perceive.

Galeron, of course, continued with all of his various meditations, although this time he placed an emphasis on his magic meditation and practicing his magic vision. It wasn't too much longer after this advancement, however, that he began to detect a disturbance in his normally comfortable, warm, and wet baby bubble.

                   College of Winterhold

In a seemingly dilapidated castle-like structure situated on the edge of a frozen snow-covered cliff, a Dunmer and an Altmer are inside the topmost room within the highest tower. These are the personal quarters of the Arch-Mage of the College of Winterhold, Savos Aren. Savos is speaking with his guest as he is lying in his bed.

"My sweet, Faralda! Why do you hide yourself from me? Are you truly that ashamed of what we've done? I've already seen everything that you're trying to hide, so what's the point?" Savos asked the naked female Altmer hiding under his covers.

"Dammit, Savos! You know how uptight my people are about maintaining bloodline purity. If anyone finds out about this we'll be hunted to the ends of Nirn. Why are you pretending like this is some game?" Faralda admonished him.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk, you worry too much about ifs, my sweet. Also, to some extent it is a game. It's not like we're going to tell anyone and we've already taken all the necessary precautions to ensure that our child's origins are never learnt of by anyone. Are you really second guessing all the time, planning, and resources we've put into making this possible? This should be a light and pleasurable experience, for both of us. If you have to fret over that stuff, you should save it for later. You really are ruining the mood, my dear."

"I know. I'm sorry. I just can't help but feel like something is going to go wrong, despite our best efforts." Faralda replied, as she rolled over and placed her arm over Savos' chest and pulled herself closer to him.

"Nonsense, my love. Everything will be fine. Just you wait and see."

                          The Midden

"Are the preparations ready, Yeala? Are you certain it will be a boy?" A shrill creaky voice could be heard coming from the amulet Yeala was holding.

"Yes, Matron. Faralda and Savos expect nothing. She is in labor as we speak. They have no idea that I'm aware of their plans. It wasn't easy finding the right times to do all the tests, without being discovered, but all the signs indicate a Male child. I'm certain of it.

"As soon as the child is born, I'll activate the first artifact temporarily preventing their movements, long enough for me to grab the child and activate the second artifact, which will teleport me directly back to the tower."

"Good. You had better not screw this up. We've spent entirely too many resources ensuring that you got into that stuffy old College for this to fail. Remember, no matter what happens this plan must succeed. Put everything on the line if you have to. Am I making myself clear?"

"Perfectly, Matron Moria. I know how much is at stake here and I swear I won't fail you or the Coven."

"Very well, we shall await your arrival. If you haven't returned before tomorrow night, we will consider this operation to be a failure and you'll be hunted and killed to prevent you from spilling any of our secrets. That is of course assuming that you're still alive." Matron Moria severed their connection immediately after saying these words.

'Geez! What a drama queen! Why even bother saying any of that? This plan is too perfect.' Yeala thought, as she cast Invisibility and Muffle on herself and made her way towards the room where Faralda was giving birth. The only way this could fail is if her Mark's were on to her and she knew for certain that they weren't. She found a comfortable place near the targeted room and listened intently for the arrival of the baby.

Three hours later, Yeala heard the sounds she had been waiting to hear. She waited only for a couple of seconds, before silently and invisibly approaching the birthing room. She took out the first artifact, threw it inside, and waited two seconds for the gas to take effect. As soon as the startled couple realized that there was an intruder, it was already too late.

Yeala quickly maneuvered past the two completely paralyzed mages, grabbed the child from its mother's arms, and activated the second artifact. Less than a second after activating the artifact, she was standing once more inside the familiar Darklight Tower that was home to her and her Coven.

                        Darklight Tower

Doren knew that this day would come and he was prepared to do his duty. That, however, didn't mean that he was in any way relishing the thought of the task that lay before him. Having been taken in by the Coven as a baby, he would play a pivotal role in taking the Hagravens to new heights, by becoming the first Male Hagraven, mating with the most powerful Matron, and thus securing the Hagraven's posterity as a fully biological species that could reproduce without the aid of the usual ritual. Part of the idea behind this madness was that these biological Hagravens would be much stronger than the ritual born Hagravens and they would rule over the others and all of Nirn as a superior race.

Doren wasn't so sure about all of this but he didn't really have much choice in the matter. He was currently walking towards the center of the ritual circle as he thought about these things and he silently accepted his fate.

                         Darklight Tower

'Jesus Fucking Christ! That's one ugly mama! What the hell did I do to deserve such a hideous creature as a Mother? Actually, come to think of it, if she's this fucking disgusting then what do I look like? I don't think I could overcome genes like that even if my father were the most handsome man to ever exist. My God this is just depressing!' Galeron lamented, as his new born eyes fell on the shriveled up abomination that was holding him.

'Holy Bird Brained Bitches! Now that I'm looking at them properly, as much as it pains me to do so, aren't those Hagravens! If those are Hagravens and I've already confirmed the existence of magic doesn't that make the odds of this being the Elder Scrolls Universe almost certain. Let's see, all the walls certainly look pretty medieval castle-ish and no signs of advanced technology. Wait a minute, can Hagravens even have children? I thought they were made through some dark ritual or something? Argghh, so many mysteries as soon as I'm born! Good grief, I need a nap! I'm kinda hungry too. Speaking of...wait...no...no...no, no, no, no, no, no...FUCK!'

And so Galeron spent the rest of his first day in the The Elder Scrolls Universe napping and sucking on a Hagraven's tiddy.
