12 Unexpected meeting and Awakening Pt 4

After the explanation of the history of magic, he ended his explanation with "And so we come to your case. Where you're only at the age of 4, yet have unlocked your spirit channels by yourself which is simply unheard of. Because you didn't have it properly unsealed it led to the blast of light which then caused you to pass out and almost die if not from me saving you with the lake's water."

"...was that the heavy repercussion...death?" Lilith quietly said, looking down at her lap, frozen in place. She didn't know how to react to Lucifer's words, it was the first-ever time she really was lost in a new world where new dangers and threats existed. Where the impossible became possible, it really gave her a rude awakening to the reality of her new life.

'Scarlett what should I do? I don't know anymore.'

'Seriously Rosie, you're going to ask that stupid question?'

'HOW IS IT STUPID! WE COULD'VE DIED AGAIN!'

'*sigh* Rosie, just live life how it is now. Remember what made you such a great killer? It was your adaptability. You were calm in every situation thrown at you. Yeah, I know that you're scared in this new world but it doesn't change who you were. Where is that girl that I knew for 7years?' She says calmly before harshly yelling 'PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER AND STOP DWELLING IN THE PAST WE ARE HERE NOW AND ALL THAT MATTER'S RIGHT NOW IS THE PRESENT!'

A moment of silence happens between them before Lilith's quiet laugh was heard which then resulted in both of them happily laughing.

Finally done with everything Lilith was the first to speak '...I guess your right Scar, ahaha thanks again for that. You always knew what to say when I'm like this,' she says relaxingly with all her previous nerves and doubts washed away.

'Yeah, I know I'm the best! Now get out there and show this world who there messing with!' Scarlett finished with determination.

'You got it Scar.' Lilith finishes before going back to reality.

"Hey! Are you alright Miss Lilith?" Lucifer says worryingly. He has been waving his hand in front of her face for 2 minutes trying to get a response from her.

Being back from her talk with Scarlett, Lilith realised that she must've been gone for awhile seeing the look of worry from Lucifer but not really quite understanding why he was worried for her. "Oh, good your back. Are you feeling okay want some water or something?" Lucifer asked relived, "Why were you worried about me? we don't even know each other." Lilith says bluntly looking at him intently and waiting for an answer. "Why would you say that? You're a child anyone would be worried and plus I'm technically bonded to you now after I saved your life," he said in a matter-of-factly tone whilst shrugging his shoulders.

"Huh! Excuse me but what!??" Lilith yells shock clearly seen on her face, "How is that even possible!? Aren't you the Celestial Guardian of this Lake! And what about my original guardian spirit beast?"

"Well, yes I am. You can thank that friend of yours, she made a deal with me. So now I'm your so-called "guardian spirit beast" thing."

At this point Lilith completely zoned out from his ranting, she knew that he was referring to Scarlett but right now she was extremely irritated at how he said the last part of his sentence. 'You can clearly hear the fake sad "What can I do about this but accept" attitude in his voice. Oh let me cut off his tongue!' Lilith thought clearly agitated by the so-called man before her, her eyes glaring daggers at him whilst she planned his murder.

'How dare he insult me, does he realize that I'm just a kid and he's being an incredibly big jerk by insulting a 4yr-old...wait. What did he say about my friend making a deal? SCARLETT! WHAT DID YOU DO!??...SCARLETT! SCARLETT! ANSWER ME!'

No reply came until Lilith's third cry, '..hehe I should've known that he would tell you...*sigh*'.

'Scar, what did you do? What is this deal?'

'Well, you see...I may have made a deal with this "thing" I would call him a devil but that's just insulting to my kind.' Scarlett said quietly

'Get to the point.' Lilith said impatiently and sternly but inside she was secretly worried.

'*sigh* I kinda made a deal saying that he could take half of my powers away if he saved you...'

'HUH! YOU DID WHAT! WHY!?' Lilith yelled clearly upset to her friend's confession.

'He found my powers interesting and out of this world, due to us not being originally from here. Making my magic desirable and interesting to people like him in this world...' Scarlett said, her voice trailing off into a quiet whisper.

Before Lilith could say anything she was brought back to the outer world by Lucifer's shaking,

"Hey! SMALL CHILD ARE YOU ALIVE!?" he yelled in her ear.

"WHAT THE HELL, THAT HURTS. STOP!" Lilith screamed extremely pissed and upset. She was sure that her ears were bleeding from that inhumane action. She continued sulking and rubbing her sore ears whilst also sending glares at him.

"You weren't responding to me so I did what I had to do, it's not my fault. Anyways about your original spirit beast, well I checked out your body...not in a weird way I just sent some of my magic in your spirit channels to see into where your spirit beast is meant to be located. What I found was that you didn't actually have one...it's an extremely rare case and has only occurred once in history. Yours is the first obviously, but I do have a theory as to why this happened..." Lucifer states before taking a big deep breath.

"Your not originally from this world are you?" he said not taking his eyes off Lilith, looking carefully for anything.

"...Hmmm, Your right there technically my soul isn't from this world. So what of it?" Lilith said plainly not caring that her reaction stumped Lucifer and left him dumbfounded.

"Why? Are you so calm? But this does explain why you act older then what you look like." Lucifer whispered to himself whilst slightly nodding.

"What the hell are you doing."

"Since I am your newly appointed guardian spirit beast, I want to know what kind of person you are...follow me." Lucifer calmly stated, elegantly making his way to the magical lake. Leaving a blank Lilith alone inside the bright room.

'Huh? What does he mean by that?'

'My guess is that he going to make you do a test.' Scarlett told Lilith telepathically.

'Hmmm, that would make sense since he doesn't know what type of master I will be and he doesn't know who I am as a person either...'

Lilith and Scarlett continued their nice chat for almost half an hour before Lucifer finally reappeared, carrying a strange but intricately designed ceramic bowl with clear water in it. Before placing it in front of her, he quietly said a quick pray ending it off with a slight touch on the water's surface, making it glow a faint blue before she could notice.

"What is this? Do you want me to drink the water?" Lilith said looking over questionably at Lucifer who was currently sipping tea.

"WAIT! WHERE DID THAT TEA SET COME FROM!"

"oh, this? Well, it's just part of the magic I can use. Anyways, yes. Drink the water it's completely safe, I just thought you would be thirsty and got you some water before I test you." he calmly voiced out while drinking his tea.

"Oh, okay then. Thank you very much, I actually am quite thirsty so don't mind if I do." Lilith said happily drinking the water before her.

"Ack, what type of water is this!" Lilith yelled spitting it out and tossing the rest of the water at Lucifer who was still calmly drinking his tea.

But what surprised her was where-ever the water drops landed the spot corroded and turned black before healing itself up again.

"What the hell just happened? Am I seeing things clearly? Lucifer what did you make me drink." Lilith demanded sternly staring straight at Lucifer who finally looked up and met her stare. Smiling he calmly told her "Oh, that was the spirit lakes water. I forgot to mention that the magical properties change depending on the celestial beast and its master. I originally had healing properties and it seems that you have poisoning and corroding properties."

"Was this what you meant by testing me?"

"Sharp, I see that your not only a confident little girl, who has a poisonous tongue but you also intelligent and fast at catching on to things too. Not bad, no wonder you have poisoning properties, your calm, collected, and silently deadly. I'm also guessing your corrosive property comes from your harshness and ruthless nature."

"And this is what you meant by finding out what type of person I am." Lilith didn't say it to question him it was rather to confirm her thoughts.

"Sorry for that, honest. I really didn't mean any harm I was just testing what the lake's water would change to. And now knowing the answer, I'm sure things will defiantly be interesting..."
