3 A new Beginning?

Waking up to a bright flash of light, Rosa let out a cry of pain.

But what came out was wail before freezing, 'why did her cry of pain sounded like a newborn's wail.' Rosa thought worriedly.

'Didn't I die, where's Scarlett?...SCARLETT! WHERE ARE YOU?' Rosa panicked.

'Geez, Rosie shut up I'm here you can stop crying. Dummy.' Scarlett replied but her voice was very weak.

'Scarlett, are you okay? Are you hurt?' Rosa asked concerned for her friend.

Scarlett was her only friend and family she ever had. Being an orphan from a young age, she had no-one, so Rosa turned to stealing to survive in the harsh world, but everything changed when she turned 13, an organization took her away, experimenting on her. That's when she met Scarlett, Scarlett was a powerful demon known as Crimson Nightmare, who had her soul locked up in an ancient enchanted demonic key, this key was said to change into the weapon depending on who the master was. But all those who tried to gain the acknowledgment of Scarlett would either turn to dust, or go through mental torture to the point where they fell into madness and killed themselves.

Rosa was the 59th test subject, where she underwent extensive assassination and elimination training. Later when she turned 14, they threw her into the lab and found out she was compatible to be the host of the enchanted demonic key, they used her best friend to give the key to her as a birthday present. Once she came into contact with it she underwent Scarlett's trial, where she found out that she was tricked and used by the organization, even though she was faced with the heart-breaking betrayal of what she thought was going to be her new family. She didn't give in to the feeling of revenge, she still stayed strong and resolute. Seeing this Scarlett chose to give Rosa, her acknowledgment, making a soul contract with her.

Everybody in the whole organization feared, hated and was disgusted with her. They would always talk behind her back and somewhere so brazen to say it outright whilst pointing. This treatment continued but because Rosa had Scarlett, she didn't mind and completely ignored all of it. Talking to Scarlett happily without a care in the world, only Scarlett was worthy of being labeled a friend. At the age of 16, they were the world's most deadliest assassin, and the killing machine of Blood Cross.

'I'm fine Rosie, but first, we need to figure out what happened to us after we died.'

'No. Scarlett, you should rest first, your health is always first priority okay?' Rosa stated, leaving no room for refuting back.

So Scarlett could only nod her head in agreement. 'where did I get such a kind and caring master from, after everything I have done. Old Man, was this the reason why you locked me up?' Scarlett quietly thought as she drifted asleep.

Back in the room, a man was anxiously walking back and forth in front of a door.

"Sir, you can come in now." a middle-aged midwife said whilst opening the door.

The man rushes in towards the beautiful woman lying on the bed, holding a precious sleeping angel.

"Sunshine, how are you feeling?" the man asked, clearly concerned for his wife who has just given birth.

"I'm feeling just fine, Honey. Just a little exhausted that's all, but look at our little angel. Isn't she a cutie, she'll sure grow up a beauty." The woman sweetly said while coercing the sleeping baby cheek.

"Have you figured out a name for our precious little angel?" the man inquires, "We also must introduce her to the whole family once she wakes up." he finishes off declaring.

"Yes, I have decided to name our little angel 'Lilith Rosa Carter'." the woman says smiling brightly.

"It's a beautiful name Sunshine." The man says lovingly at his wife and little angel.

'Hmmm so my new name is Lilith Rosie Carter, it's not half bad. I guess these two are my parents, I wonder what's it going to be like, having parents? You know what since I never got a childhood why not give it a chance' Rosa Thought.
