4 Chapter 4: The mana core

-What do you mean by that? Does that mean I can't use magic despite being able to sense it?- I asked with a very concerned tone

-You should wipe that worried look off of your little face- she chuckled - Don't worry, every reincarnate have no mana core, unlike others who uses their core to contain mana or use it to give mana to their spells, reincarnates like you use your whole body for it. You can hold more magic than regular mages.-

-Why didn't you tell me before?- I asked with a really annoyed tone, but at the same time relieved that I can use magic - At least now, my dream of seducing women into my harem with my genius magic skills is going to happen-

I then focus on the mana coursing through my body, took me a while to sense my body's own mana, I can see that it's light green. I'll get probably get used to it later, considering this is my first time.

- By the way, what magic attributes do me and my parents have? Wait I am a protagonist, I can probably do magic of all the attributes. And from the way my dad uses fire to sometimes light things up and my mom sometimes using water to clean the floors, their attribute are probably fire and water respectively- I asked

- Those novels might be not be so useless after all. Your mom has the magical attribute of water and air, while your dad have air and fire-

-I never seen them use the air one-

-They use it to sometime cool themselves down-

- Thanks for the info. Before I use the basic elemental spells, maybe I should learn how to condense mana into a ball-

-Smart, but it might be harder, most people would do a water ball or gale ball, as water particles and air are all around us, your method might be better to train with, but it's definitely gonna be harder to train with- she said with a slightly impressed tone

-Yes, but gathering a ball of pure mana is harder, besides you're 1 years old, people usually learn basic magic at 6 or 4 at earliest. Maybe gather water particles and air into a ball instead, it might make you learn faster-

-Well I am a reincarnate, I am pretty much guaranteed to succeed, besides from the sound of it, it's worth trying-

I then focus on using my mana to condense it into a ball. Then strings of light green mana starts to form odd shapes, I couldn't turn it into a ball, I tried and tried again but to no avail.

-You're doing good for a 1 year old, you should sleep and try again tomorrow-

-Yeah I am kinda tired- I yawned. I then tucked myself in for my sleep.

-By the way, do gods sleep?- I asked

I tried the method for about 5 days before succeeding, It is so much easier to do it with the elements afterwards. After that I practice condensing several mana balls to simulate myself using multiple spells, since I'm definitely going to make a lot of enemies in the future.

2 years passed. And I am now 3 years old, the time skip must really long for all you readers.

I can secretly use magic by practicing every time my parents are asleep. From using wind to make a breeze and cool myself down when my parents aren't looking or when I boast how much of a genius I am to annoy Dabria. I need to learn how hunting work, learning them the earlier the better, I don't want to get in action myself, but I want to at least witness it and then I'm a bit older maybe I can hunt some animals to sell them and use the money to afford things that I need to use when studying magic.

To do all that, I am going to beg my parents to bring me to one of their hunts. I walk over to my parents as they were chatting while preparing lunch.

"Mom! Dad!" I yell to get their attention

"Hey lil Perseus, you hungry already?" My dad says with a big smile on his face "If you are, We're almost done"

"No I want to ask you guys a question"

"What is it dear?" My mom asked

"Can you take with you the next time you go hunting?" I asked while doing my best attempt to look cute

-You look like a smiling devil who just came from hell to drag someone back to hell with you- Dabria said
