150 Go Play

In the gymnasium.

"Nakano-kun, Ayase-san, collect the orbs and take them to the storage area." Machio said while zipping his jacket up, and slowly his muscular body returned to normal.

"Understood, Machio Sensei."

Ayase Mahiru, one of the belles among the first year female students, said softly.

(Hmmm... What kind of mechanism is in Machio Sensei's sport jacket?)

Akira was very curious how Machio's muscular body could be hidden under a sports jacket.

"PE class is over, you guys may disperse." Machio announced.

"We go first, Akira-cchi, Ayase-san."

Next to Akashi, Kise waved his hand.

"Oh." Akira nodded indifferently.

The students dispersed, quickly the gymnasium was left with only Akira and Miharu.

"Let's collect the balls." Akira said.

"En." Mahiru agrees.

Then, the two took a volleyball, and put it in the push basket.

Unlike Miharu, who went back and forth picking up the balls one by one, and putting them in the basket. Akira threw the ball he picked up into the basket from where he took the ball.

Its efficient action saves more time. In less than 10 minutes, all the scattered volleyballs were in the basket.

"Now I know why Akira was chosen to be the main player even though he's only a first year student. His throwing skills are amazing." Miharu said with sparkling eyes.

"This is nothing, a person named Midorima Shintaro from class 1-B has better shooting accuracy than me." Akira said humbly, and started pushing the basket with Miharu.

"I've seen him in the corridor, Midorima-kun is very tall. He doesn't look like a junior high school student."

Miharu remembered the green-haired, bespectacled man she often met when walking in the hallways. After all, since Class 1-A and Class 1-B were next to each other, it's no wonder the students of the two classes met and interacted frequently.

"There are still people taller than Midorima." Akira said.

"Who?" Miharu asked curiously.

"Murasakibara Atsushi, besides being tall, he's also usually big."

"Ah, I remember. I once accidentally bumped into him on the first day of school. At that time I was very scared to see him, I thought he would be angry."

"So?"

"He said to be more careful next time, and left. Even though he looks scary, Murasakibara-kun is a good person."

"Indeed, members of Kiseki no Sedai are good people."

"Kiseki no Sedai?"

"Cough Cough... I misspoke, forget it."

Akira just remembered that Kise no Sedai hasn't gotten any achievements yet. The title was awarded to them only after the Teiko middle school basketball club won the national championship three years in a row.

The two arrived at the sports equipment storage area.

"This is my first time coming in here, everything looks expensive."

Miharu looks around curiously.

"That's natural, to be the best, Teiko Junior High School must allocate a lot of funds to buy the best sports equipment, so that students can achieve maximum results."

Akira spoke while looking at the rackets that a famous company produces.

"Let's go, it will be a problem if something goes missing and we get blamed."

"Yes."

Mahiru nodded.

Coming out of the storage room, Akira locks the padlock, and the two go to find Machio, and give him the key.

There are no incidents of being locked in a storage room, like there are in the anime.

Teiko Junior High School provides a bathing area for students after PE class. As a junior high school that prioritizes sporting achievements, a bathing area must be provided for the convenience of students.

When Akira arrived at the men's bathing area, he saw that Kise and his classmates were still there.

There is a glass barrier separating each shower. So that each student will bathe individually.

"Yo, Akira-cchi, is the date over?" Kise asked while washing his hair.

Entering one of the showers, Akira turned on the water faucet and said.

"Are you blind? How can you see it's a date?"

"I think being alone with a girl is a date."

"Your definition of dating is really weird, Ryota. Don't you think so too, Akashi?"

"Kise was weird from the start."

"Akashi-cchi is cruel..."

Kise wasn't angry because his two friends were making fun of him, he knew they weren't serious, and this was their usual routine.

"Ryota, lend me the shampoo, I forgot to bring it." Akira said.

"Sorry, Akira-cchi, I'm out of shampoo. Yours is still there, Akashi-cchi." Kise asked.

"Use this."

Akashi reached out his hand, and Kise took the shampoo and gave it to Akira.

"Thank you, Akashi." Akira thanks.

'You're welcome." Akashi replied.

...

It's 3:10 p.m.

Class has been dismissed, and students are getting ready to do their club activities.

There is no basketball training today, Akira intends to take a walk before going home.

"See you tomorrow, Inui-san, Bocchi."

He greeted the two girls nearby.

"See you tomorrow, Nakano-kun."

"S-See you tomorrow. Akira."

Shinju answered embarrassed, and Hitori said nervously as usual.

...

"You don't usually come home this early, Akira."

In front of the locker, Akira had just changed his shoes, heard someone talking to him, he turned around, and saw a short man with dark green curly hair.

That man is Nagatsuka Tomohiro, the person Akira once saved from school bullying.

"It turns out that you, Tomohiro, don't go to the club yourself?"

"Club activities are closed, our club room window is broken, and it is being repaired."

"Oh, was that the baseball club?"

"How did Akira know?"

Tomohiro is surprised that Akira found out the culprit through just a bit of information.

"Your club room is on the 3rd floor, and it faces the field. While it's possible the football club did it, the baseball club is more likely."

"Wow, you guessed right."

The two of them walked towards the school gate while chatting.

"Are you busy?" asked Tomohiru suddenly.

"I have free time, so what?"

Akira asked despite already suspecting his friend's purpose in asking.

"Wanna go to karaoke?"

"I refuse, I do not like to sing."

"How about bowling?"

"Hmmm... Sure."

Akira agreed to Tomohiro's suggestion.

"I know a good bowling place, let's go."

Tomohiro took a step with an excited expression. This was the first time he had gone out to play with someone who could be called a spirit.

"Don't walk too fast, watch out for you to fall!" Akira reminds.

"You are like my mother." Tomohiro said jokingly.

The corners of Akira's mouth twitched. He was used to taking care of his five sisters, he acted more like an older brother than a younger brother.

"Ouch."

"I just said."

Akira came to help Tomohiro, who had fallen and helped him up.

"It's just a coincidence, I'm being unlucky." Tomohiro complained.

"It's your own fault for walking without looking ahead." Akira scoffed.

"Don't talk about this."

Tomohiro feels embarrassed to fall in front of the school, some students laugh at him, which embarrasses him.

"Okay."

Akira wasn't kidding anymore, and the two left.
