2 Chapter 2: Rainbow Massacre

It was dark. I could only feel my body as I woke up in an endless darkness that was in front of me. I tried to move my body, but I couldn't. I panicked of course, for a second I thought that my greatest fear, which is being buried alive, had come true. I struggled to at least move an inch, but it was of no use, it was as if I was chained to the ground, or I was buried raw, no coffin at all.

I began to gulp. Fear started to seep in. It seems it's true that I was buried alive for some reason…

I tried to scream, but again, I couldn't move. Despair started to cloud my mind as I felt like I wanted to cry.

Is this it? How the fuck did it come to this? The last thing I remembered was that I was sitting on the couch with my girlfriend... watching TV...

But then, as I tried to close my eyes, accepting my demise, the surroundings started to brighten, and it scared the crap out of him.

"W-Wha—" I mumbled."Wait... I can talk now?"

I then felt the ground below me, and noticed that I was now standing, unlike before. I stepped back a little as I saw a man behind a desk in front of me. The place was all white; nothing else. The only colour there was the colour of his dark skin and the man in front of me.

"Welcome." The man in front of me smiled. "Have a seat."

"W-Who are you?" I stuttered.

The man only smiled. "Please, have a seat."

I looked around, and saw no way out. It seems I have to take a seat with this stranger in front of me.

I warily walked towards the chair and sat down, but I was still in a position where I could bolt off at any second.

"You should relax yourself," said the man, scribbling something on a piece of paper. "I won't hurt you, I promise."

I frowned, but I got this feeling of calmness as the man said that, which helped me relax on the chair.

The man then tidied the paper in front of him and looked at me. "Now, I will ask you a couple of questions before we go through the next process."

"What process?" I questioned. "W-What's going on?"

The man snapped his finger. "Ah, I forgot to tell you first. First of all, you are dead."

"W-What?"

"Now do not panic, death is not the end." said the man calmly.

"H-How did I die? How about my girlfriend? My sister? "

"Fortunately, they are fine," the man smiled. "You had a seizure and died when the ambulance came."

"Oh no…" I massaged my head under stress. "S-So what is this right now?"

"This?" the man repeated. "This is the place where you get sorted out."

"Sorted out?"

"Yes, you are astoundingly good in your life, Zeremiah. You have special privileges." answered the man. "Now, would you mind if I ask you a couple of questions?"

"S-Sure…"

"Alright then." the man hummed. He took a piece of paper, and read what was on it. "First of all, what is your name?"

"B-But you already knew?"

"It's just for formalities." The man smiled again.

"Z-Zeremiah…"

"Okay…" the man then wrote my name on the paper. As he finished, he asked another question. "What was your age when you died?"

"Eighteen…"

The man then wrote his age on the paper. "Okay… all of those are done… Now, onto the heavy questions. Could you tell me what regrets you have while you are still alive? "

"Regrets?" I pondered. I was tapping my feet rapidly, a bit anxious at the stares that the man in front of me was giving. "I guess… not being able to say goodbye to my grandmother… I was… an asshole… she was dying in the hospital… yet I never visited her once… I kept telling myself I was busy… but I knew I was lying to myself… I was just lazy… that was probably the biggest regret in my life…"

The man in front of him hummed. "Yes, that was one of the sins in your good life… I hope you fix it in the next. "

"The next?"

"You can continue, Zeremiah." The man smiled. "What else did you regret when you were alive?"

"I… I don't know… I don't really have any regrets besides that… I live with my sister alone… I don't know who my parents were… but I never regretted not having one…"

"So your only regret is not being able to say goodbye to your grandmother?"

"Well…" I chuckled nervously. "Maybe… more aware of my surroundings… I am dense in terms of general feelings… I'm lucky my girlfriend was the one who said that she likes me first… otherwise… I'll probably be alone in my highschool life…"

"That's it?"

"That's it I guess…" I murmured. "But I'm a bit disappointed that I can't watch Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2, you know? It was such a cliffhanger! I wish you could've taken my life after that…"

The man raised his brow and hummed. "Curious…"

I was confused. "What?"

The man then suddenly wrote furiously on a piece of paper. He murmured something like. "Aware… Dense…. Lazy… Dying… Cliffhanger… Stranger Things…"

"W-What are you doing?"

He didn't answer my question, but then, suddenly, he stopped entirely, as if he was frozen in time.

He then stared at me, before giving me the paper that he was writing on earlier.

"You are a curious boy, Zeremiah." the man smiled as he stood up, making me stand up as well. "I hope you have fun in your next life."

"W-What? What next life?" I stammered, walking back a couple of feet.

The man didn't speak, instead, he snapped his finger again, and my vision suddenly darkens. Between the darkness, I could see that the paper that I was holding was burning, and the fire spread to my body. I couldn't scream, I didn't have to anyway, as I didn't feel anything from the fire.

It was a long wait. I cannot see anything, all I could feel was the tingling sensation of the fire. It didn't hurt, instead, it kind of feels… good…

But those feelings suddenly vanished, making me confused. The next thing I knew, I could open my eyes, but I couldn't breathe, which made me panic.

I opened my eyes, and I saw a really handsome man, raising his hand towards me, his eyes filled with hatred. I looked around, and I saw that I was in a child's room, the walls were painted with rainbow colors, and I noticed that I was floating in the air, with blood all over my body.

I was choking, and I felt like I could pass out at any second. I couldn't do anything at all, it was that void situation all over again…

But then, the man in front of me suddenly moved his hand, aiming it towards the rainbow wall. I slammed into it, and I could feel that my back was hurting a lot. I couldn't scream, I could feel that I was crying blood.

I saw a little girl facing that man that just threw me to the wall with his psychic power. I felt like it's a familiar scene, but I couldn't piece it together yet.

I was still feeling pain. I could see that my arms were literally twisted around, but strangely, I could only feel a small amount of pain from it, but it was still hella painful.

Suddenly, my brain felt like it was being fried while I was still alive. I was twitching madly, his eyeballs rolled back, and I could feel something was happening with me.

The sensation felt quite long, but when it was done, I saw that the man and little girl still didn't move.

I then could feel this sensation, I was… aware of something… something dense… something lazy… I could feel… the metal around me… it's like it was a part of me, I could feel the iron that was running through his blood, the iron that was running through that girl's and that man's blood, I could feel the metal in the air, I could the lead and mercury in the air, I could feel the steel that was supporting the building… I could feel… everything…

I then saw the girl in front of me raising her hand towards the man, and the man did the same. I could feel the wave that was generated by the two of them. It was strong, the two of them… but the man was stronger.

Then I realized… isn't this… A Stranger Things Scene? Isn't this the scene in Season 4 with Vecna and shit… fuck…

What the hell is going on right now?
